Announcement:
As I finished a project for a new trait mod (Trait Diversity), this mod is no longer supported. I suggest you to move Trait Diversity from VDL since almost every trait in VDL is included in a new mod. Yes, you can consider Trait Diversity as a sequel of VDL. Here is the link:

Hm. It's all of them for me. None of the traits added by the mods appear for lithoids. The only options are the vanilla ones.

Doesn't work right with Lithoids - they can't get the traits.

@Time Lord: I didn't do a version control stuff for this mod so I don't have entire files for previous version. Fortunately, since Le Guin update forced me to change many stuffs for this mod, I left some essential backup for 2.1 on my drive.

Replace the trait files with these files then it should be working with 2.1 Stellaris. (Note: mod version of these files is 1.3.1 so these do not include new 7 traits on mod version 1.5.0, see updates log)

Announcement:
I've noticed Stellaris has a major update to v2.4 last week. There was a suggestion not to update the mod for 2.4 at the current time to avoid problems due to the unstable new launcher so I decided not to update at the moment. I'll update when the launcher is stabilized enough; I expect still there is no serious error for now as this is simple trait adding mod. Thank you.

Greetings, And thank you for the creation of this awesome mod! I love it and wish to keep playing with it. However I have a request. After the recent Megacorp update I feel as though the game went a poor direction design wise. Portrait sizes are to small and many other things. As such I am playing with version 2.1.3 before the update. If possible can I have access to the mod version that supports V 2.1.3? I have a “Moe Mod Compilation” That it is apart of that I wish to keep playing with. @Scradegn: yup, Mirror Images trait is inspired by famous creepypasta stories (or old folktales as you pointed out) about the things in the mirror. I tried to describe they can enter other worlds via mirrors and they treated that worlds as a haven. There are only few clean reflector in the undergrounds; they would feel pretty nervous in there.

Their was one trait that I couldn't properly rewrite since it was garbled too much and that was mirror images. I made it sound better but as far as explaining the trait it's still a garbled. It would help to know what it was based on; to make it sound better. I'm assuming it was based on old folktales about mirrors and reflections as form crossing into other worlds? Right......

for gene modding window, I didn't put any UI modding files on this mod to avoid compatibility issues. If you're trying to find the mods expanding the trait windows, try:

These are maybe outdated mod but I think they're working. Or you can find them to search with the keywords as trait window, trait ui etc.
And for leader trait issue, I'll try to find the problem on next update. I'm afraid I can't tell you when is the update as I'm not playing Stellaris for now.

I've tweaked your localization file's descriptions because it was driving me mental. Call me a grammar nazi but I couldn't stand it any longer. It isn't perfect grammar but it will suffice:steamhappy:

I mainly edited it for personal use but decided to upload a link for it since it fixes some minor gripes about grammar people had with this mod.

Interesting mod. Most of the blue traits make no sense, in their description and effect, but there's a lot of good traits. Seems to be more fantastical then Scientific, although this makes sense.

Hey!

Really good mod, it's really cool to have this much choices!

I don't really know if it's a known thing or not and if it's the right place to talk about it but the two things that make me cry with this mod :

- When we modify a specie, all the leader who got the bonus trait given with genius (scholar in english I guess) lose it, even if we modify another specie :s

-When we can add every trait with species modification, the UI can't display every trait x)

and remove everything but:

00_vdltrait_b2_basic_traits.txt
00_vdltrait_m2_basic_traits.txt

A simplified mod with only "Perfect", "Gifted", "Superior", "Inferior", "Incapable", and "Failure" that give extra trait points or reduce trait points will be appreciated. :)

@dragonfight(Рун): for now I don't have any plan to update this mod but if I add some traits in future, I'll focus on negative traits. Thanks :)

@Ranger Dimitri: As you pointed out, those blue 0 point traits are allowed to pick when you are creating the species. They cannot be added or removed by bio-engineering (EXCEPT Last Children; the background of this trait is a bio-engineering disaster so it can be cured via advanced bio-tech). Maybe you can call them origin traits.
Other colours are, purple: psionic-related, pale-blue: positive traits (heavy), green: positive traits (light), red: negative traits(light), red-ish purple: negative traits (heavy)

So I'd like a color Breakdown between the different trait's, I know the purple are for Psionic-Type's (Rather easy to tell) but what about the More Dark Blue Trait's (The One's that cost 0 point's and don't take a pick to have) Are those only allowed on empire creation? And for that matter which one's can and can't be added later on?

Is there a way to fix the genetic template creator to have sliding bar or something? I cant see all the traits since they clip off the bottom. Any help would be great

Update 1.5.0; see the update log for details. Briefly:
- 2 new special characteristic traits (blue icon) for bio species added
- 5 new ordinary traits for bio species added
- minor effect changes for balance/RP

완벽한 특성가지면 특성점수 4점 줘서 다른 특성에 더 투자할 수 있고 열등한 특성 가지면 쓸대없이 특성점수 차지해서 상대적으로 '열등'해지게 말임

@Slye_Fox: I tried with your mod list, I've got ctd as well. With or without this mod, both cases occur ctd. I'm pretty sure this mod is built with very simple codes and contains stable features only. I've checked my codes again but still can't find any critical error, sorry
