Shyning Apr 28, 2019 @ 3:30pm
Hi ! I'm not using GS but R&F, however this mod seems to tell Civ that it's not compatible with the current version.
Could you confirm whether it can safely be used anyway, or if it needs to be updated ?
In any case, thanks for this mod, because my friends and I would all answer in unison to your question "YES, WE ARE !".
codenaugh  [author] Feb 14, 2019 @ 4:39pm
actually, it looks like GS retains your last used settings
codenaugh  [author] Feb 14, 2019 @ 11:04am
will do
Starkman Jones Feb 14, 2019 @ 9:41am
Any plans to update for GS?

I love lamp. I mean, I love "y." So I guess I'm with frskogstad. I like the hotkey because I will toggle it on/off throughout the game. Same with the grid (using G) and Resources (R). Works great!
frskogstad Sep 15, 2018 @ 1:59pm
Why not just hit the 'y' hot key in-game?

How does this mod not have like 1,000,000 subscribers?
emsi Aug 14, 2018 @ 7:47am
omg thank you so much
UntouchedWagons May 5, 2018 @ 6:30pm
Yup it works now.
codenaugh  [author] May 4, 2018 @ 6:58pm
The mod has been updated thanks to MadManCam! It should be much more compatible with other mods.

@MadManCam So I've seen that I can add a Priority to the File Import tags, in order to load my files first, which will allow others to modify the file after my change is implemented. I'm now more curious about your original comment, where you seemed to suggest that I could modify the file instead of replacing it. I've sent you a friend request. I would like to lean how to modify a lua instead of replacing one, if possible. Can you point me in the right direction?
kaspergm May 1, 2018 @ 12:54pm
Oh can you also make a mod that turns the grid off by default ... PRETTY PLEASE?
Monsterbitar May 1, 2018 @ 11:37am
When using this mod, on linux, my minmap changes shape entirely, the menues stop working and the actual purpose of this mod: enable yield by default, isn't applied.

I want the intended feature, and reading the comments here I'm looking forward to see it changed from importing the entire file to updating the actual settings within the file instead.

Thanks mate! I'll look into it and update as appropriate!

@codenaugh, also here is a thread on CivFanatics [forums.civfanatics.com] about load order.
Kyl Apr 30, 2018 @ 3:55pm
@codenaugh, yes check out the Free Camera modinfo file, it also shows how to add an independent UI xml+lua script
Cocodrigo Apr 30, 2018 @ 11:56am
Alternatively, one can also make a keybind (I use 'y' for yield) that toggles showing yields in the settings.
codenaugh  [author] Apr 29, 2018 @ 9:36pm
@MadManCam you point me to an example using LoadOrder? I'm not familiar with it...
weun Apr 29, 2018 @ 1:23pm
This worked fine for me. Note, I don't have the Rise and Fall update.
Kyl Apr 29, 2018 @ 12:53pm
@codenaugh, No the Import Files action imports the files into the game (replacing any file currently existing with the same name). Check out using the load order tag in modinfo as well. The default LoadOrder is 0, and since you are replacing a file, you want to make sure your action has a higher LoadOrder (it replaces the MinimapPanel.lua after the default one has loaded).
codenaugh  [author] Apr 29, 2018 @ 12:46pm
Really? My understanding is that it only adds the differences between the two. I'll look into it
Kyl Apr 29, 2018 @ 12:39pm
@codenaugh, this mod replaces the entire MinimapPanel.lua file (which other mods might also try to do). However, you only add two lines of code, and its not like you are modifying the MinimapPanel.lua you are just adding two general lines of code that could actually work in their own User Interface. Basically, you can add an independent user interface you don't have to replace the MinimapPanel.lua file.

Hi all, I believe I've made the mod more compatible with other mods. This one is extremely simple, so if it still doesn't work for you, it is most likely that your other mod is the one that is incompatible with other mods
Alyx Apr 29, 2018 @ 12:22pm
This seems like a huge annoyance if you ever play with other people since they'd also need the mod...
Rootimus Apr 29, 2018 @ 5:31am
I'm no coder, but over 800 lines of code to check a single box? Also, it doesn't check the box. :steamsad:
PocaPoca Apr 28, 2018 @ 5:20pm
This Doesn't work for me, too.
UntouchedWagons Apr 27, 2018 @ 12:12pm
This doesn't work for me.
Quintkat Apr 27, 2018 @ 6:47am
(You can also use the shortcut "Y")
Murgo Apr 27, 2018 @ 3:50am
Haven't even tryed it yet, but the fact that you made it; I can only say I love you man!

Did not work with the Mods of this collection: Take a look at this collection: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1358788365

Would like to add it, but did not know, why it is not working.
