how do you applie the animation?

The head and pelvis are the only things moving. You could experiment with keeping the head in the same place by rotating spine bones, or having hands lag behind, or at least stay in the same place

it seems a bit stiff. if you want good refrence for sonic running havea look at the first part to the opening of sonic colors
