the thing is the actual idea behind the mod is great. but after some gameplays i am almost 100% sure that the boosting stats dont effect the real stats in general. Meaning the stands 34 attack, but in real its still the same.

is there a way to make this compatible with "MOS", ive tried changing the encampment ---> barracks ---> special building progression into buildings from MOS, unfortunately there must be something more to it.
At first i thought that maybe it had to do with buildings allowed table, but it isn't. I've even tried merging with the main MOS database to see what tables conflict in the PFM, and didn't see anything. so now i'm just more confused on what table may be keeping the blacksmith and specialty buildings locked. I was hoping maybe you could take a look at it. Thanks for your time and effort. Also if anyone else might know, please comment.

I'm pretty new into the game, and I have no idea how to make this mod work in my game. It would be really helpful if someone could tell me how to actually build those special building. Do I have to build it by upgrading castle to a new level to unlock slot or what ?

1. Accuracy buildings don't affect artillery
2. It's not possible to go to max rank using buildings (metsuke->magistrate, monk->great shrine, and ninja->village) you can only go to one before max rank.
@The Dark Ranger HAHAHA It's totally not balanced and AI can build them on super rare occasions.

It's possible to demolish specialty buildings to empty slot. What you have to do is creat a new building chain (clone the existing specialty chain) and unmark "termail building" of the lowest levels. See my mod for detail.

I too, as elephant suggested, would LOVE to built specialty buildings in FotS(but nothing like this mod is existing, to my knowledge) :) If you ever get time, that is ^^ But if you wont do it, can you reply anyway and explain? ^^ I love your mod in shogun 2, though, so many thanks for making this at least :D

I was thinking of something slightly different where there is an extra option for the encampment line called the Konidatai, if built in one of the resource producing regions, distributes the unit stats bonus of the region throughout your empire.

im not 100% sure why but this mod stops province speciality buildings from providing level bonuses for agents when i use it. they still however provide all other bonuses. the idea for the mod is awesome and i'd love to be able to use it (like i do most of your others).

Hey :) Disregard my previousness. I figured it out. It wasn't working in conjunction with (Deathy's AI and gameplay mod) His altered buildings too, and I surmise that was the problem. Shut it off and your mod works perfectly fine. Thanks again. Make somemore stuff!!

Hi, trying your mod here. Works on the first construction slot encampment. Leads to the buildings like it says. Second construction slot not giving me the next encampment though. Preventing multiple identical building chains. Any ideas? Have you heard of this? Any insight would be appreciated. Wonderful idea for a mod btw :3 I hope we can sort this out. Heavly armored Shimazu Katana would be my drean come true...lol... I know it's Christmas...so, no rush. Enjoy the season and thanks for making cool mods. I have several of yours and don't have any other issues identified yet so far.

Sorry but i am cheating using this mod and still finding the campaign very difficult. It may be something to do with my other mods but they attck with 3 or 4 armies at a time. If i didnt have this mod i would have been wiped from Japan along time ago haha. Cheers for the mod :)

Soooo, hard to not cheat with this one- but my gum I'm finally going to beat legendary with my 12 armor Samurai...

So Charsi, Cpt. British on the workshop has a nice blacksmith mod. When he was making it he did a similar thing with the encampment progressing into specialty structures. He changed it for balance reasons, however, the reason I bring it up is that he knew how to make the buildings deconstruct. Perhaps he'll have the answer to the issue with this.

sorry, there was something wrong with mod selector, so i decided to unsubscribe to all mod. that is why it was not working. now i resubscribe and it is working again. i even mod it for my own convenience. thanks alot for this great mod.

Yes FotS has railroads, and also yes it has the training camp.

salahoeddin: thus far I haven't been able to replicate the problem. I have started a new game to check.

TFM: Doing this for FotS is a much bigger task and I don't understand the FotS building chain very well. There also may not be an equivalent building to the Encampment in FotS. FotS has railroads though, to quickly move troops around, right?

Ever get this working for FotS? I love this idea, pisses me off I have to train all my armies at my capital being satsuma, late game makes getting my armies to the front take like 20 turns, at that point its cheaper to just use an ishin ishi to buy off rebel and invading armies and throw them heedlessly at castles.

I tried setting that flag (destruction terminator) and it didn't seem to work? Maybe it is movie file shenanigans. Thanks for the tip!

Protip: You can set the "destruction_terminator" flag to False for the lowest-tier specialty chain buildings in the building_levels_tables. That fixes the problem of not being able to destroy them.

It might be necessary to start a new campaign or use movie-file shenanigans, but I doubt it. Mine worked on the first try, but I did both of the above (to override other mod files, heh)

The meaning of the word [vanilla] means this is intended for Shogun 2 total war's vanilla campaign. Nothing more than that.

It has no effect on Rise of the Samurai or Fall of the Samurai campaigns.

Fixed a bug where the barracks had no valid upgrades. Savegames should not be impacted.

The latest update has reworked the building chain so that farms are back to their usual upgrade path. So this won't happen anymore - but you'll have to start a new game to get rid of the horse breeders that the AI built everywhere.

when will the next update be to fix the AI turning every farm into a horse breeder? It gets kind of annoying when I start to run low on food because they have a horse fetish

Uh... okay, I tried a creative solution and it and it didn't pan out. Had all kinds of crashes when I tried to let the specialty buildings upgrade into something else so they could be demolished. So instead, i've changed the way they are constructed (yet again) and hopefully this puts them out of reach of the AI.

Yup - I tried many times (my enemies have a penchant for Libraries which is all well and good if I want tons of Metsuke... but I like being able to kill things not just have guys who bribe and coerce...) so it's a pain but not such a bad thing, I use nearly 20 mods for Shogun 2 and they're all compatible, the only ones that aren't (purely because I use mods that change unit sizes) are those that add extra units...

I would love to see a chain that adds to either your General's Loyalty & Daimyo's Honour or perhaps one that gives buffs to food production as I tend to find that as I progress and have 7+ provinces my food output is far outweighed by the consumption.

After playtesting I have discovered that you still can't properly demolish the specialty buildings. They just regress to the earliest tier of their chain. Frustrating. It looks like if I want to solve this thoroughly i'll have to create new building chains...
