Do you know what becomes of Air Power AI Fix, Annoyances Mod, Garrison Fix and Medieval fix ? Did the bug you fixed have been took into account by Firaxis and removed ?

ListType MedievalSettlements is completely removed from updated game database. Therefore I conclude AI settlement behavior is substantially reworked (to the best or to the bad) and this mod no longer valid. I am marking it as obsolete now.

If it is, the mod is going to need this since, GS added in mod incompatibly flagging:

You probably need to add this code in the <Properties> area in .modinfo, so the mod doesn't get flagged as incompatible:
<CompatibleVersions>1.2,2.0</CompatibleVersions>

I believe the 1.2 in the code means it is backwards compatible. I notice some mods just have 2.0, but a lot have the 1.2,2.0. I assume to be backwards compatible for players who don't have GS.

This is already discussed here (look older comments). "Is Medieval" fixed, but "MedievalSettlements" still not fixed.

Hey FearSunn! Love your bug-hunting and excellent mods! Takes some real dedication. I'm finally learning how to mod and have started reading/searching through the game files. I've looked at the Victories.xml and, maybe they sneakily fixed it during the redshell patch, but I don't think I'm finding evidence of the "Medieval Strategy" bug anymore. At least, it seems like they have the correct eras being applied. Could still insert "MedievalSettlement" into Strategy_Priorities but it doesn't seem to correlate with the other eras. Am I reading this wrong? Anyway, would love a sanity check. Thanks!

I don't seem to see this mod in my additional content screen - could this been an issue with the title including brackets? I see it in my subscribed list, but I can't seem to find it in the enable/disable screen.

Yes. To be more clear on this: 1st from another mod and 2nd from this mod have been fixed with update. 3rd still not fixed.

No. They fixed "Is Medieval". There are (were) 3 errors in total:
1)YEILDS,
2) "Is Medieval" and
3) "MedievalSettlements".
This mod deals with 2nd and 3rd. 2nd is fixed with update.

So the only thing they fixed was the other error, from the other mod fix, the AI Yield Bias? lol, typcial Fraxis.

2018 Spring Update just partly fixed Strategy Conditions:
Fixed: STRATEGY_MEDIEVAL_CHANGES properly set to "Is Medieval".
NOT FIXED: "MedievalSettlements" entry is still disconnected from Medieval strategy.

Therefore this mod is still relevant and recommended.

I found the files to change and where, it's under victories.xml, was tough but I managed to figure it out on all kinds of meds lol, so it's now affecting my games in progress which is nice!

in victories.xml under <Strategy_Priorities> I added <Row StrategyType="STRATEGY_MEDIEVAL_CHANGES" ListType="MedievalSettlements"/> at the end of the STRATEGY_MEDIEVAL_CHANGES lines.

Also in victories.xml under <StrategyConditions> I changed the line that says: <Row StrategyType="STRATEGY_MEDIEVAL_CHANGES" ConditionFunction="Is Classical"/>

to "Is Medeival" at the end there.

It could. AI priorities are rebalanced and they could build more usefull stuff towards science and/or culture hence less spare production windows for other things. But this is hard to say for sure. All decision making process still not open for modding. My personal impression is that AI now is much better in all fields.

I noticed that IAs are no more building gigantic armies like some did in my previous games (which was stupid and annoying). Is it possible your mod fixed this ?

Just spent 15 mins looking for it. This seems to be the "official" method although steam and 2k forums have their own bug listings along with cf and reddit of course.

Hey FearSunn, do you have a lot of these errors in your mods? Have you let the devs know? Looks like getting the redditors to look at them is the way to go.

I've set it not to work with saved games. As it is effects most important part of the game AI in early game stages mostly (Classical and Medieval eras).
