hey, when you disable automatic mounting it simply doesnt work. i disabled automounting for my pen animals, yet my pawns will still mount them. please fix

When you choose "Expand forbid riding area" in a new game, and mark out some area.... you get a right hand status message "GU_RR_NoDropAnimal_Label" text. Hovering your mouse over that text shows ""GU_RR_NoDropAnimal_Description"

to the mod authors: I am running 1.4 and am getting a notification on the right hand side feed that I need to make a mount spot but according to the notes above I should only need a pen nearby? can you confirm whether the notification is correct or not and whether I should be building a mount point? everything appears to be working, and thus I believe that this alert was incorrectly left in.

LZIM: I'm using a ton of mods but I believe this feature is in vanilla? you just need to add a horse or donkey or whatever to your caravan and you should see the weight increase. then when you leave a tile you can either load up manually by selecting a pawn and right clicking on something and selecting 'load onto caravan' to manually load or just select what you want when reforming caravan and the pawns should auto load it. thats how i take herds of animals out to sell or load up on wood or whatever.

I need help from people that use Giddy-up. Many years ago I added this mod or another one that let pawns on any tile pack up tames with whatever they needed to haul when not in a caravan. Unless i'm crazy isnt there a mod fo this because it makes no sense for this feature to still not be in vanilla. to be able to pull an animal out, saddle it, then take it to a site with resources, load it up with packs then go back home. obv examples are field work for harvesting, hauling chunks after a drop pod raid and forestry work

The invisible animals when mounted is a problem with the yayos animation mod, I turned off the animal walking animation setting and the animals were visible again.

this is happening to me as well, animals become invisible once colonists get on top of them to ride em

for some reason when my colonists mount an animal, it turns invisible until they dismount. only the animals do, has anyone had this issue and know how to fix?

Riders are ignoring the forbid ride zones and just rolling into base mounted and leaving the animals in random spots like bedrooms and common areas.

I tried putting Ride and Roll at the very end of my load list and I'm still getting weird behavior. Colonists will frequently walk to the stable, mount a horse, ride out of the stable, turn around, ride back into the stable, dismount, walk away, and proceed on foot to their next task.

I guess that is not as bad as it was acting before with folks crossing the whole map twice, but still weird.

Contrary to the mod description, my pawns aren't staying mounted when hunting and / or hauling, is there a setting I have incorrect?

@Havox & Zombra: I was seeing the same thing and decided to put this mod near the end of my list, after the other mods that try to make pawns more efficient at hauling and that fixed the issue.
My uneducated guess is that the other mods are overwriting the Giddy Up queue resulting in only half of the giddy up queue being executed (ie. ride to job location) but not the rest of the Giddy Up queue (ie. when job complete, ride animal back to pen).

Hi, I have the same issue as Havox. I have pawns who will walk to the corral, mount a horse, ride across the zone to pick something up, ride to where they're going to drop it off, then ride back to the corral, drop the horse off, then WALK back to where they finally drop the item off. I want to eliminate the part where they have to return the horse to the corral in the middle of every action. It's fine with me if the horse is wandering around for a bit.

Alternatively an option to set the default configuration for new mounts to anything but "oh you're rideable, that means EVERYONE can ride you!"

Love this mod =) is there a way to prevent pawns from constantly running back with their mount to the pen? They take a horse, ride to do something, and then put the horse back in the pen, only to bring it right out again for the next thing they wanna do. Sometimes they get stuck doing this for every thing they do. Go get mount, do thing, return mount. This only happens with pawns that have animal handling ofc

Is it normal for mounts to be left places (outside the fence... and they get the "wandering away" alert) or inside the storeroom? I find pawns having to run around and rope animals all the time.

Hello, please can you fix all problems not only with your mod but, also, all problems? For example global warming remains an issue, my wife doesn't love me anymore, and I just ran out milk. Please provide an update soon.

The problem in question is Yayo's Animation (Continued). It is incompatible with giddy up.

@Grey Draco @GiGADEATHMANSoFHELL I had this problem as well, but it appears to be a mod incompatibility. Not a problem with this mod. Testing to figure out the mod in question that is causing this.

Giddy up! and al its sub mods except Giddy-up Mechanoids have been updated to support Rimworld 1.4!
Giddy-up Mechanoids can't be updated until What the Hack is updated, for which I don't currently have time.

Huge thanks go to cyinghan who performed this update. It's amazing to see the community steps in when I don't have the time to update
all my mods due to other obligations.

Could do with a way of restricting mounts for certain pawn/pawn types (warcaskets being one), I cant think of a clean way of handling it though, if you add something to the worktab, people using other worktabs might have issues (I use fluffys for example). By weight? sounds overly complex. Pawn white list per animal, lot of UI modding in that. ugh.

I'm having an issue with a colonist attempting to mount an animal over and over, when the animal is marked to not allow mounting. The colonist refuses to go do something else, even after being manually drafted and walked away.

@Cequre you can configure the distance a pawn considers mounting in the mod settings.
