It won't work in newer versions as I have no updated it. If I find a professional modder to pay to update it, sure, but the work of doing so just mounts higher and higher.

No it is just there are problems that are beyond my scope. If there is someone who I could pay to help me out I would, but nobody has ever volunteered. I have mostly been working on a Warhammer TTRPG that I steam on youtube every saturday at 2:30 est

1. I am going to try. But like the last dlc I can't gurentee it will work.
2. If anyone has any connections to any professional mod makers that would be willing to work on it for pay I would be overjoyed to accept the help.
3. I am busy atm so for atleast awhile I will not be attempting any work. I have not even had the time to play a full game with the new dlc and update.

I don't ever plan on doing support for 1939. But yea I need a professional or hope that the problem fixes itself if i can update it to Blood Alone.

Still no luck, loads but crashes after day one. 1939 date won't load at all. Found an enormous error log many ending in or containing: Unknown character - cannot be assigned to ... as it is already assigned to ... - Portrait not found - already has a unit leader - Unexpected token - Could not find animation - already has an ideology - Unknown character - invalid database object for effect/trigger etc etc good luck with finding the problem.

Updated stuff. Don't know if it fixed the issue everyone has but me. Fixed some localization issues. I don't know why some ministers can't be localized, their names are in the localization files. Fixed more bugs.

I still think maybe you could do a linux instalation (cheapest and wont destroy windows hd) maybe some file exists on your pc that belongs to the game or is critical for it and that prevents you from crashing. and we need to separate that file from your steam instalation.

Or maybe you could make a game for me.

I want to do a very different historical mod, where manpower and industry are critical where aircraft strategic bombing takes on greater importance.

I also want to include as nations a Carlist Hispaniola, League of Nations Mandates in Syria, Palestine and Iraq, Zionist Uganda, White (Russian) territories, and a few others.

And units to reflect historically accurate units of wwII , Colored units USA, Gurkha Britain, Kings own African Rifles, Colonial units etc, Homeguard and volksturm.

I have been using the steam version.
A few logical problems here:
1. The changes I make are there when I upload it to steam and play it from steam.
2. If I change my local version, I can see the difference between it and if I load the steam version.
3. When I play either version I don't get a day 1 crash.

It is really annoying but I think the only solution would be to have a professional mod maker look it over and fix stuff.

Is there any way you could delete the steam version and then upload or post your version here,
downlod or clone your hd, then delete the game from your hd and upload from steam, then you would get the error and see what it really is,or get a cheap hd put linux on it live instalation download steam and download this version. that way you could see the error 1st hand as its not on your systems version, its on steams.

CTD same as before I play with -debug , on I show 14k errors some of which say fatal.

I hear you, I had no idea pro mod makers were a thing,I wish youd help me make a mod, no one has ever brought balance to hoi4 the way I would.

Not really this is the only pc in the house able to run Hoi4. Two things:
1. I suspect that if I fix the Soviet Union it might fix the issue. Only lead I have.
2. I am fully willing, if someone gets me into contact with a professional mod maker, to pay them to fix the crashing bug.

is there any way you could run the game from someone elses pc and maybe see what is causing the crash for rest of us?

Still crashes for me after one day. Reinstalled the mod and checked the game files, tried several countries with no luck. Dutch and American focus look interesting to try.

Next I will be working on latvia/estonia, then poland, than USSR.

Just integrated new Lithuania stuff into mod and posted new update. Once again I can't replicate it, so tell me if you are still experiencing the day 1 crashes.

ColCoal, when will you release, as I am eager to test and see what bugs may be fixed

on the bright side, this probably will make your mod one of the least buggy on the workshop
