Awesome...glad you like the map, let me know if you need anything for your map builds, in the advanced menu you can right click on any map or mods name, write down the file number it shows. Then go to the master file located at,
C/Program Files x86/Steam/SteamApps/workshop/content/446800/ then whatever mod file number you wish to lookup, in the case of BlackRock map files, they are located in file number 1330406771. By digging in the workshop folder, you can see how the published files are arranged etc. from any map or mod.

@Lowell
I haven't had issues with them being off map, as the maps work fine. Also I've not had the chance to finish off a number of maps I've been working on myself (work and family life) so when I do get online I tend to stick to maps I've already got under way or I'm working on.

Also I rarely used German Transport Fever sites, with the exception of looking for mods that I like or could use. I'm currently trying to use British rolling stock for my maps, but until recently they were few and far between. This is also the same for other Brtish mods, ie; Signal Boxes, as they're rather lacking as props too.
Your map caught my eye so I downloaded it and now playing too. lol

Loads of no-industry maps have them off the map, most all on the German Transport Fever site are that way. I have more than 30 maps in my WorkShop, on several I have the 2-industries within the playing area. I am not sure which mod you have enabled that allows you to see them off-map...more than likely it has pushed the in-game fog way back from the maps edges. Myself I perfer them to be within the playing area, at one time I was not sure if having them off map wasn't causing some issues...but after recent patches things went to normal, so having them off-map seems to be fine. Many like having the no-industry versions clean as the moment I place a farm somewhere, some player will want a quary or oil field.

@Lowell, Thanks for your response. Only reason I asked is because I've never seen industries "floating" off the map, normally I've seen industries tucked away in the corner of a map (No industries maps) but not actually off of it.

Off topic item here:
It reminded me of when I used to use SL, years ago, and place items outside my Regions to make them look larger and it add to the scenario's I ran in them

Hi wabbithunta, yes the 2 must-have map industries were set off the game play area, it is how all the no-industry maps are set. Many use the same off-map settings. BlackRock being a 4k map has the industries set at;
local industries = {
{pos = { 5837.750, -9741.410 }, angle = math.rad(0.0), fileName = "industry/farm.con" },
{pos = { -3533.375, -9434.110 }, angle = math.rad(-75.0), fileName = "industry/farm.con" },
}
Now the in-game fog is supposed to "hide" those things 0ff-map. However there is a mod people are using that allows you to see them. They are far away enough no roads will ever connect. The second version BlackRock has in-game spawned industries of course.

Q for you: When I loaded this map, to take a look at, it I saw that there are two industries placed outside the map limits. Did you use negative map settings to put the "required" industries outside the map?

Oldhip...BlackRock comes with 2 maps when you subscribe...as I mentioned above.
-BlackRock has no in-game industries...
-BlackRock_Ind uses the game's random spawned game industries...
...enjoy...:steamhappy:

Need one with industries for those that don't use the no cost mod.

Cities will merge into a mass if close enough...I will look into it on the next map.

I love this map's size and simplicity and I've enjoyed playing it. However, I'm now looking for one like this that has a single cluster of towns close together sort of like if there were another town between Fletcher and Senna on this map. The goal is something that develops into a larger urban area while the rest of the map remains mostly smaller towns and rural. Do any of your maps offer something that might fit the bill? I browsed them and it doesn't look like it, but I thought I'd ask anyway :)

I got the idea from a map called Acacia. It's got 3 towns close together and develop into kind of a mess, which is a decent challenge. However, the map has too much other stuff going on for my tastes.

Whatever the case, I look forward to any maps you do in the future ;)
