hey so this has been my favorite magic mod for years but for some reason its not working now? I just booted up my old game for the first time in a while, and all my spells are gone and i tried to buy them again and relearn them but they're not showing up in my spell list? I don't know whats going on as i've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing and moving it to the top of my load order! please help because this is my favorite mod for skyrim and i just bought a new gaming computer specifically so i could play skyrim with this mod!

Where are the vendors for the Sun spells exactly?
Peetra-Na  [author] May 9, 2021 @ 9:49am
I've never heard of that. All of my spells are fairly straight-forward builds. I did not include any exclusions to the learning (and accessibility) of Blood Magic.

I have a question. I bought the Annihilate spell from Faralda, but when I learn it it doesn´t show up in my spell menu. Any advice on what to do ?

Oh most certainly... Go forth and bring light to the DARKNESS!

Are the solar spells and enchantments affected by fire magic and enchantment perks?
Peetra-Na  [author] Jul 4, 2019 @ 10:31am
This mod just adds spells. Some of the effects of the sun and blood magic is added when the player unlocks certain perks. A general rule that I live by is "Never tamper with the perk trees." Which means that my magic is balanced for a vanilla perk system. If you are concerned that this mod and Ordinator will crash, the answer is no, it will not clash with Ordinator. I don't know if Ordinator disconnects the following perks: Intense Flames, Disintigrate, Deep Freeze, Necromage, Rage and Impact. If Ordinator has done something with these, then Ancient light will be affected.

Do sun damage's spells scale fine with ordinator's perks of destruction (fire) and reatoration?
Peetra-Na  [author] Jun 30, 2019 @ 3:10pm
My Sun Magic mod is an awesome magic mod that adds awesome sun magic and awesome blood magic to the awesome game that is Skyrim! It's pure AWESOMENESS!
Peetra-Na  [author] Jun 30, 2019 @ 3:08pm
Nope. You MUST have the DLC. And really... the DLC can only make an already awesome game even more awesome. So if you are one of those people that doesn't have the DLC, you MUST get the DLC. It's Awesome.
2long Jun 30, 2019 @ 3:52am
So I cant use this mod if i don't have DLC ?
Peetra-Na  [author] Oct 25, 2018 @ 4:20pm
Ha ha hi-larious!
Peetra-Na  [author] Sep 19, 2018 @ 7:23am
@Tsukikagetsuba: This mod was engineered from the ground up to be the perfect sun magic mod. Go forth and purge the world of its corruption with HOLY LIGHT!
ATM2100 Sep 17, 2018 @ 5:51am
nm found them, they are there, sorry about that.
ATM2100 Sep 15, 2018 @ 3:02pm
you would think it would be compatible, but I can't find where it says it is incompatable, and I did see the sign explaining what blood and sun magic were, not proving anything though. I am also new to moding, and I would like to take the ideas and use them for my own, is that ok?
Littlevoidpuff Sep 14, 2018 @ 9:35am
oh i was just about to start a new game with a "sun" mage and thought i'd have to content myself with dawnguards crappy spells so this looks perfect
Peetra-Na  [author] Sep 14, 2018 @ 8:33am
If you had read the description of my mod, then you would know that Ancient Light 2 is NOT compatible with Elemental Destruction Magic...
ATM2100 Sep 11, 2018 @ 2:15pm
I have the elemental destruction (perk version) and this one, along with some others, are any of these spells purchaseable? or do I have to find them all? because if I can purchase them, there aren't any in colledge of winterhold. Ideas on how to fix this?
CommanderAngel1 May 11, 2018 @ 9:20am
This is perfect, thank you very much!
JC262 May 1, 2018 @ 1:21pm
Alright, thanks for letting me know! After a steam workshop issue I had to verify the integrity of my game to install this, but verifying wound up breaking all my other mods. I'm going to give this a try when I finish reinstalling my mods. It looks like it would be a perfect fit for my paladin/cleric sort of character.
Peetra-Na  [author] May 1, 2018 @ 9:05am
Besides, how overpowered is the Dovahkiin already? Having destructive magic in the same magic school as restorative magic would completely negate the importance of the Destruction school altogether, and it would make the Restoration school completely broken overpowered. I couldn't allow that.
Peetra-Na  [author] May 1, 2018 @ 9:00am
Sun Magic is Destruction. When I originally created this mod, I gave some very serious consideration to whether or not these spells should be Restoration. Then I figured, "Restoration is for healing, buffs, and anti-undead magic." Anything that damages ALL enemies should be Destruction. With that in mind however, I also figured, "Sun magic is a crossover kind of Destruction magic." It's mostly Destruction, but some of its other features only come out if the player is also good with Restoration.
JC262 Apr 28, 2018 @ 5:45pm
This looks like just the kind of mod I was looking for, but I am just wondering, are the sun spells added in this mod considered destruction or restoration?
Beananiel Mar 26, 2018 @ 1:37pm
aslo sugguestion! you know the awesome graphic for the sun particle spell? you should use that for sun's wrath as well. think about it! Throwing suns at people!
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 26, 2018 @ 9:30am
Awesome!
Beananiel Mar 26, 2018 @ 8:48am
YES IT WORKED THANK YOU. NOW I CAN MAKE EVERYONE PRAISE THE SUN.
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 26, 2018 @ 8:11am
@OniBank: the post broke up the important part...

type: "player.removespell 000ED0A8" in the Console
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 26, 2018 @ 8:08am
@OniBank: Yup, that would do it... Did you read the spell tome "To Serve Man VIII"? That one adds Vampire Vampirism. If you aren't a vampire, it is dormant and is hidden in your UI, but still there. My sun magic has discovered this dormant passive ability and bingo: Burning non-vampire... It isn't a simple matter of just turning the Vampire Chronicles mod off either. It uses vanilla spells and effects. to remove it hit the "~" (tilda) key to bring up the console. Then type: "player.removespell 000ED0A8," then press "enter" Once finished, hit the tilda key to put the console away. This will delete the invisible Vampire Vampirism disease restance from your character and you should be able to cook those evil undead once more!
Beananiel Mar 26, 2018 @ 7:33am
no i didn't. the only thing i can think of is there might be some lingering effects from the vampire chronicles mod.
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 26, 2018 @ 7:28am
@Defhunta: Thanks for being a good sport.
Defhunta Mar 26, 2018 @ 7:22am
Thats fair enough. I only thought about it from a gameplay point of view, not considering the lore. Thanks for taking the time to explain.
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 26, 2018 @ 6:39am
@Defhunta: I did it that way intentionally. Lore-wise, anyone who joins up with the Dawnguard hates vampires and all that they stand for. Also, any member of the Dawnguard that gets turned into a vampire is not a member of the Dawnguard anymore. The same goes in reverse for the Valkihar Vampires.
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 26, 2018 @ 6:34am
@OniBank: It shouldn't be burning you. Somethng else must be going on. The burning effects only go off if the player has the Vampire's disease restance in particular... Did you do the dawnguard questline? Did you enter the Soulcairn by having Serana turn you into a vampire?
Beananiel Mar 25, 2018 @ 2:21pm
the only disease resist i have is my werewolf blood.
Defhunta Mar 25, 2018 @ 10:38am
Amazing mod, but I have 1 suggestion:
Add more ways to get the armour sets, as it seems like you can only ever get one set. So if you side with the dawnguard, but then decide to become a vampire, you can't get the vampire set.
But other than that, amazing!
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 25, 2018 @ 9:48am
I have just gone and double checked the part of the spells that make it so vampires can't cast sun magic. ALL of the effects within target a particular passive ability that only vampires have called Vampire Vampirism. In the player's UI it is the ability that reads "Your Vampiric blood gives you 100% resistance to disease." You should NOT and I repeat NOT be burning if you DON'T have this. If you are, than there is something weird going on.
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 25, 2018 @ 9:23am
I always play the game with my own mods so that I can find bugs if there are any. I have never seen or heard of this bug. The "vampires can't cast sun magic" bit targets a vampire's disease resistance. Do you have any kind of disease restance that was added in by another mod? What spell/s in particular are you having trouble with?
Beananiel Mar 25, 2018 @ 8:56am
for some reason the mod thinks i'm a vampire so i can't use sun magic
Peetra-Na  [author] Mar 20, 2018 @ 8:38am
Thanks!
