Ancient Light 2 - Sun Magic Reborn

Description
Adds Sun and Blood as new elements. Comes with Sun and Blood spells and a huge list of sun enchanted weapons, staves and scrolls. This version now includes Paladin and Praetorian armors that enhance Sun and Blood Magic. None of that Sun Fire rubbish that Bethesda put out with Dawnguard. Spells and enchanted weapons can be acquired as loot in dungeons or purchased from appropriate vendors. Requires Dawnguard and Dragonborn.

Includes the following Sun spells available for purchase from sellers of spell tomes or acquirable as loot in dungeons:

-Sun Beam
-Sun Burn
-Sun Rune
-Solarize
-Solar Flare
-Corona
-Solar Wind
-Javelin Of Light
-Wall of Sunlight
-Binary Star
-Purify
-Wrath
-Judgement
-Nova
-Sun Particle

Also, I've Added a full list of sun enchanted weapons to Skyrim and it's DLCs.

Examples of weapons:
-Sparkling Iron Dagger
-Flashing Steel Battleaxe
-Glowing Orcish Greatsword
-Bright Elven Bow
-Shining Stalhrim Mace
-Radiant Ebony Sword

The item "Old Rod" is also for sale at the Riverwood Trader. The Old Rod is useless in it's current state. But, if you get the correct supplies, you can restore it to it's original glory at Neloth's staff enchanter in Solstheim. It becomes the Sun Rod. The Sun Rod fires a Sun Particle spell wherever you are pointing. It even has an infinite charge! The Upgrade Matrix can be found in Avanchenzel near a skeleton behind a gate toward the end of the dungeon.

Another random item that I added was the Dispel spell. I created it for the purpose of removing unwanted spell effects from your charecter. Such as a long-lasting candlelight spell that just won't go away. Or the Corona Cloak Spell. Dispel can be purchased from spelltome sellers or acquired as loot in dungeons.

Sun Magic counts as fire damage. Also, can be used against enemies that are normally immune/resistant to fire damage. The primary effect burns targets in a glorious blaze of sacred light. It does 50% more damage to undead as its secondary effect. It can disintegrate enemies if you have the Disintegrate perk, and as an added bonus for your undead undoing pleasure, adds a decent turn undead effect if you have the Necromage perk.

Blood Magic spells serve as counterpoint to the Sun spells. Where Sun magic really draws attention to the caster, Blood magic is geared more toward the stealthy magic user. These spells are more powerful than any other kind of spell if, and only if, you are a vampire. In the previous version, they were not buyable at tome vendors, but I decided to change that. You can now buy them. They can also be found as loot in warlock dungeons or in the pockets of nefarious magic users, such as: any kind of bad guy mage, vampires, those cultist guys from Solstheim, Seekers, etc.

These spells are:

-Withering Beam
-Entropic Bolt
-Rune Of Sickness
-Toxic Blast
-Dark Aura
-Contempt
-Wall of Entropy
-Silent Rage
-Annihilate

There are now some weapons that have a learnable Damage Health Enchantment. They only become available once you can start finding Ebony or Daedric weapons. It is a potent enchantment. If you are a vampire, you will also drain a small amount of health out of the enemies hit with this effect.

Blood magic counts as frost damage. Like Sun magic, Blood magic can be used on enemies that are immune/resistant to frost damage. The primary effect bathes your enemies in a sinister red light, generated from the darkest recesses of your blackenned heart. The secondary effect absorbs 50% of the damage dealt as extra damage, but only if you are a vampire. If you have the Rage perk, it will add a fear effect. (I chose Rage because you can get it at Illusion level 70, the same as Necromage in the Restoration tree for Sun Magic.) Blood Magic will also slow targets if you have Deep Freeze. Annihilate has no extra effects for it doesn't matter if the target is afraid of you or not if they are already dead.

This new and improved version of the original Sun Magic mod now includes a number of rare and unique spells that can't (reliably) be purchased. These spells offer different takes on effects that commonly exist on the core or standard destruction spells. Some of these effects are utterly unique and exist only within this mod. I didn't write any new scripts. I just used the ones within the game and a few others I found in other mods (see credits below).

These rare spells are:

Solarize: An apprentice level buff spell that increases the power of Sun damage.
Solar Wind: An adept level wave spell that damages all that it touches. (okay, not unique, but really cool.)
Binary Star: Utterly unique. An expert spell that imposes the Corona cloak effect upon a target.
Purify: An expert level concentration spell that burns the corruption out of your enemies.
Wrath: Master spell that deals expert level damage in an adept level blast. (why didn't Bethesda come up with this?)
Staff of Fiery Halos: A staff that lays down a moat of deadly sunlight at a target location.
Sun Particle: A master level "Magelight" spell that illuminates ALL for three minutes. (visually stunning)
Silent Rage: A Frenzy spell that also applies a small health DOT to enemies. (a guaranteed one hit kill if used right).
Channel Divinity: Infuse a non enchanted weapon with sunlight. (paladins only)

This version now adds the Paladin armor and the Praetorian armor sets. When wearing four or more pieces of these sets of armor they will increase the power of Sun or Blood magic based on which set you have. The Paladin armor is only buyable from Sorine in Fort Dawnguard. The Praetorian armor is only buyable in Castle Valkihar.

This mod uses the leveled item lists! It will cause errors if you are using any other mods that use the same leveled item lists! There are now two known clashing mods, Elemental Destruction Magic and Immersive Jewelry.

Where are the vendors for the Sun spells exactly?

I've never heard of that. All of my spells are fairly straight-forward builds. I did not include any exclusions to the learning (and accessibility) of Blood Magic.

I have a question. I bought the Annihilate spell from Faralda, but when I learn it it doesn´t show up in my spell menu. Any advice on what to do ?

Are the solar spells and enchantments affected by fire magic and enchantment perks?
Peetra-Na  [author] Jul 4, 2019 @ 10:31am
This mod just adds spells. Some of the effects of the sun and blood magic is added when the player unlocks certain perks. A general rule that I live by is "Never tamper with the perk trees." Which means that my magic is balanced for a vanilla perk system. If you are concerned that this mod and Ordinator will crash, the answer is no, it will not clash with Ordinator. I don't know if Ordinator disconnects the following perks: Intense Flames, Disintigrate, Deep Freeze, Necromage, Rage and Impact. If Ordinator has done something with these, then Ancient light will be affected.

Do sun damage's spells scale fine with ordinator's perks of destruction (fire) and reatoration?
