The lenses definitely need to be transparent, the opaque texture looks more like a bug than intention - plus, transparent makes more sense. The hair texture seems to need a bit more work, take reference from the Hero's Tail, but overall a really neat idea. Get to tweaking it and you've got my vote, for what that's worth.

are the lenses on the glasses transparent? they seem to be in the thumbnail but in the itemtest pics they're opaque
