A wonderfully intertextual love-letter to Castiglione; as Ravenna finds that following the mystique of magic in a changed world can provide a glimmer of hope, the player discovers that Renaissance ideologies and aspirations are vitally important in upholding a modern democracy.

:redflower: Bravo!

@Brandoch I'm still fooling around with Affinity EE [forum.neverwintervault.org]. Progress has been at a snail's pace - rebooting CEP 2.x has taken priority - but I hope to have a lot more time for it this year.
Valefar Jan 19, 2024 @ 7:19am
Hey @Proleric, are you working on some new modules right now? I really enjoyed your work so far.
JaMpocalypse Feb 2, 2022 @ 10:06am
That was the problem, thanks again.
JaMpocalypse Feb 2, 2022 @ 9:23am
Hi, i'm playing in english and I indeed replaced that file, since I using "Blue Conversation Text Colour Changer" from the vault. Thanks for answering, I will check if removing the file makes the problem dissapear.
Proleric  [author] Feb 2, 2022 @ 12:36am
@JaMpocalypse Quite right, Saffron shouldn't assume you're female. Fixed in the next release.

The other conversations mentioned use only official custom tokens, so I'm puzzled.

Trigger warning :steamfacepalm:

Every conversation you mention uses the offical custom token 57 <bitch/bastard> which should read "bastard" for a male PC.

Is it possible that you've over-ridden stringtokens.2da?

Which language are you playing in?
Proleric  [author] Feb 1, 2022 @ 2:43pm
@JaMpocalypse Thanks - I'll look into it.
JaMpocalypse Feb 1, 2022 @ 12:36pm
Hi, I've been playing and noticed some <Unrecognized Tokens> in the text.

Mister Herbert.- First conversation.

Mistress Lilith.- In her dialogue in the torture room.

Sardonicus.- When you first meet in the court, normal conversation in the throne room, in his room and when alfonse confronts him with evidence.

And something extra that I noticed was when Miss Eva introduces you to the house in the garden, Saffro refers to you as girl, being male PC.

Dark Energy v1.12 makes some aspects more robust as an indirect consequence of testing EE development release 8193.21.
Proleric  [author] Mar 17, 2021 @ 8:48am
If clicking on a door transition does nothing, try moving slightly, then click again.
Proleric  [author] Dec 18, 2020 @ 8:25am
I tested this again with the latest NWN release 8193.20. It's still working perfectly for me. As always, ensure you've removed all mods from override and development folders, and unsubscribed other Steam Workshop items. Once inside the palace, you should be in cutscene mode. Wait for a moment for Miss Eva to appear. If that still doesn't work, escape the cutscene - that should move the action on to a conversation in the garden on the other side of the palace.
Silvi Dec 17, 2020 @ 11:24pm
i did that and nothing happened
Proleric  [author] Dec 17, 2020 @ 10:42pm
If you go through the door it will trigger the cutscene where Miss Eva leads you through the palace.
Silvi Dec 17, 2020 @ 7:24pm
sorry but umm what do i do when i get to the castle? i thought maybe i have to talk to the mistress again but all she says is good day to my character

Dark Energy v1.11 allows human male PCs for the first time.

It is now almost gender-agnostic.

The door problem seems to be resolved in EE version 1.80.8193.13.

I will leave the fix on the Vault in case anyone finds doors that are still broken.
Proleric  [author] May 10, 2020 @ 12:18am
Here is a fix [neverwintervault.org] for the door bug in EE 1.80.
Proleric  [author] Apr 28, 2020 @ 8:19am
Owing to a bug in EE 1.80, a few doors no longer work in that version of NWN.

The best solution at the time of writing is to use the EE Development release 80.8193.10 or later. Once through the door, you can continue in the Retail version if preferred. In some instances, you may need to click the door several times before this works.
Proleric  [author] Mar 1, 2019 @ 8:59am
You can play as Bard (or any official class except Barbarian). The Courtier class is optional.
Proleric  [author] Feb 16, 2019 @ 2:22pm
This module doesn't have an end movie. As it happens, what you're seeing is an inconsequential bug in EE which Beamdog has acknowledged here [support.baldursgate.com].
Zigzag Feb 16, 2019 @ 10:23am
The ending movie seems to be a ".wbm" which the game cannot play. It says it needs to be a webm.
Zigzag Feb 16, 2019 @ 10:17am
It may have been the black powder , even though I removed that in previous attempts. Either way, I now survive the initial fight. Thank you.
Zigzag Feb 16, 2019 @ 10:14am
@Proleric Thank you for the reply, but I think there might be a bug.
When I use the suits and helmets to protect myself and 2 others, they still die anyway .
I'll try again and try to figure out what the issue is.
Proleric  [author] Feb 16, 2019 @ 9:04am
@Zigzagler - refer to the Walkthrough (Sandeni - Cult) to avoid being wiped out in the Third Degree. A couple of books in game hint at what you need to do, too.

If you find it easier, park the party in the Second Degree until the PC has made the Third Degree a bit safer.
Zigzag Feb 16, 2019 @ 12:42am
Quite good, save for some unnecessarily difficult encounters.
Expect to do a lot of quicksaving and reloading.

Literally cannot finish what I assume is the final battle. It begins and my entire party is one-shot. No amount of scrounging and hunting for a solution has allowed me to find a way around this.
werelynxo Jan 20, 2019 @ 12:00pm
Superb module, one of the best currently available on workshop!
Proleric  [author] Apr 4, 2018 @ 12:19am
@DrMcCoy I changed the filename from Mod to mod.
Proleric  [author] Apr 3, 2018 @ 3:08pm
@DrMcCoy I haven't added much apart from bug fixes since the beta. I now regard the work as finished and highly playable, albeit a little sparse in some respects.
DrMcCoy Apr 3, 2018 @ 7:50am
(Submitted a bug report to Beamdog: https://support.baldursgate.com/issues/36409)
DrMcCoy Apr 3, 2018 @ 7:46am
Oh, and the module doesn't correctly show up on Linux.

The issue seems to be that you named the file "Dark Energy v1.00.Mod", with an uppercase Mod, Linux filesystems are case-sensitive, and the game only checks for "mod" files.

I created a symlink from "Dark Energy v1.00.Mod" to "Dark Energy v1.00.mod", and the module showed up in the in-game list.
DrMcCoy Apr 3, 2018 @ 7:17am
Correct me if I'm wrong, but was that the module you released some time ago "bare-bones", without party banter, etc.? Did you flesh it out in the mean-time :)? (Or am I just completely misremembering?)
Adventuring Through Games Mar 29, 2018 @ 8:55am
Comic Sans? Why tho? :punfailure:
