Sorry to spam but I also remembered that it had a speedboat that played Crockett's theme from Miami Vice.

On a side note does anyone happen to remember the old gmod map that had like... a coastline, various vehicles made out of stock HL2 ones and map parts, and among those a hydraulic buggy that played "More Bounce to the Ounce?"

Thank you for uploading this. I saw the drivable HL2 vehicles using the ye olde gm8 pod and was immediately thrown back to the olive steam UI era.

not mentioned, but the map gm_tropicalwaters_ai is included. just pointing that out (i had to use addon finder since it wasn't mentioned in the description nor images, so initially i assumed it was from a different addon)

But still i like the idea to put hl2d custom maps, maybe i use consolé comando to type nav_generate, that's and Easy way to create si navmesh, AND the map icons, Is still empty.

@PacosoYoshi Well of course... these maps are from before 2010.

@Swift2C I'm sure that would work if you tweek the map files in Hammer editor. You may not even have to do that if you simple have the fireworks model which im sure is floating around somewhere. If not you could change the model to a different one in Hammer and it should work the same assuming there aren't any Script files needed for it to function.

I wonder if it will work with an really old version of HL2DM. And maybe take some of the files from that and put into garrysmod or a new version of HL2DM.

@Swift2C I have another version called Gob_Fireworks2.bsp but it equally doesn't work in modern gmod unfortunately.

@Amanita Quite a few. This is only a small amount of the old maps i have acquired over time. But these are some of my favorites.

@You've posted cringe 74.91.120.40:27015 is the IP. Its been pretty dead as of lately. The upload size limited me from uploading all the old hl2dm maps this server has literally all the old maps we could find.

i remember a night time fishing map that included the gob_fireworks island, I can't remember the name of the map though

do you have like the ip of the server that we can just add to favorites? Because looking through the entire list of servers can be very iffy sometimes.

@nutsua same. You guys are more than welcome to play these on my server. I have alot more old map files there some yaypit, chapel, and phoneburnia never used. Not server advertising btw I dont make any money off of it I just enjoy playing the old maps publically.

I'm glad I found this collection. I remember playing these back in 2007 in my favorite servers Chapel Yay and Phoneburnia. Every time I visit these maps, I wish I could go back in time just to play those two servers again. Thank you for finding these and uploading them on the workshop, SkyCaptain, thank you.

yeah. Pretty much the same with you. When that firework addon came out; I always remembered that map when using that addon - but couldn't remember the name of it intill now.

I felt the same about Gob_fireworks. I actually was able to find an older version of the map that didn't use the custom models that still works instead of seeing errors but I dont remember if the colors work correctly. I think of that map every time I use the fire works addons lol

I agree. I actually have finally checked out all the maps you have put in this folder. And these were the ones that bring back good memories to me.

@♥♥♥♥♥♥ I could however the only thing stopping me is the workshop size limitation. I tried organizing all the maps into folders I could upload but it ended up being too many folders so this addons are some of my favorites that I think people would enjoy the most. There are individual map files that can be found elsewhere but I had a hard time finding them so other people sent me their old map files. It's amazing how less creative alot of the newer maps and player base are.

also can u make another workshop addon with the other maps you said that you have would really love to check them out.

as I checked the maps; I remember baron_mag2. Had so many good memories back on that map. It's insane now we don't get good maps like that around gmod and stuff; makes it kinda boring tbh.

You said earlier that you have more maps that wouldn't fit inside a single addon. Would it be possible to make an addon collection of these maps?

@⛧Akittu Actually it has more than are avalible in this workshop download because the workshop only allowed for about 300 MB. I still have tons of old school maps like these not in this download. My server uses most of them except for ones that don't work well with modern gmod

@KW17 i agree. Those are used alot on my server Classic Sandbox. Not trying to advertise just making it aware these maps are still in use somewhere.
