I loce the concept about it but the colour just does not fit in my opinion, maby if it was a little more gold like?

nope , i can make the statue a little self iluminated ( ill try later today to see if it would work:) ) , but I cannot add effects .

I cannot add particle/glow effects to the weapon , valve will make custom glows (maybe) when/if they will add it to the game

I really like the idea, I would consider giving some glow/self illumination to the figure to make it stand out a little more and maybe make it so that finly detailed silhouette is easier to read in game.
