Or a chance of you letting it go and having Mlie update it?
ProfZelonka Jun 20, 2022 @ 11:48am
Any chance of this being updated ever at this point?
WalkingProblem  [author] Jul 29, 2021 @ 3:06pm
So with the launch of the smurf mod, I gonna divert my resources and time on other stuffs and my professional work until funding raising targets are met.

I will also create rimworld related youtube content - probably a lot to do with the mods I created on my walkingproblem studio youtube channel. (please subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgUW0Ls2wbY8h79pV9xnMjw )

Subscriber Targets
~ 100 to allow me to have a custom youtube channel ID
~ 1000 to allow me to monetise the youtube channel.

My aim is 1000 subscribers, so that my content will allow me to earn advertising dollars - which in term will allow me to spend more time on modding. This is actually the best thing to help me help you get more of my mods updated and created!
Mr. Mauer (Mollari) May 27, 2021 @ 3:20am
how is the update status? :'D
Azrael Oct 4, 2020 @ 10:50am
Any update on when this will be updated? Would love to play it before I go to Boot camp haha
WalkingProblem  [author] Apr 19, 2020 @ 11:48am
@anitachall - wow...

@feydras - It would come. But because of the lack of patreon support (which is pretty normal for modding community i feel) - i had to update and create mods at my own time (and thus me prioritizing mods according to my own wimp).

Which means Planet of the Apes mod is currently still in queue to be updated. Its actually last on the list of existing mods to be updated. The current mod I am working on is the starship troopers arachnid mod.
feydras Mar 15, 2020 @ 8:48am
Still hoping for an update

@Prophet - I'm not sure. I havent tested it yet.
Prophet Aug 7, 2018 @ 12:41pm
Hey man, does your mod works with "Children" On ?
WalkingProblem  [author] Jun 15, 2018 @ 2:24pm
@whitefox - Apes usually grow up in a few years time. I not sure. Its just a matter of "would I enjoy having children in my colony"?

They will outgrow the toddler stage by 3 years old... i think
FoxWhite Jun 9, 2018 @ 2:55pm
should i shot them while they still can't dodge then? :)))
WalkingProblem  [author] Jun 7, 2018 @ 12:20pm
@whitefox - yeah, around close to 1 year... they will become toddlers... and just...give you troubles haha
FoxWhite May 23, 2018 @ 12:59pm
how long does it take for an 'infant' to actualy be able to do something for the colony?
i am waiting from 2 quadrums for the first baby, 10 days for the second one and there is one more to come, i am imagining they will be able to walk and do something at 1 year but i am not sure, besides this GREAT MOD :) keep up the good work
c1bo Mar 5, 2018 @ 8:30am

@SyberKovak - ah..bears.... weirdly, apparently there is no bear races yet
c1bo Mar 4, 2018 @ 1:33pm

c1bo Mar 3, 2018 @ 3:25pm

WalkingProblem  [author] Feb 28, 2018 @ 10:40am
@faisicshanosang - define "something"
Uncle Seven Feb 28, 2018 @ 12:19am
can you do something about nudist trait ??
WalkingProblem  [author] Feb 25, 2018 @ 7:29am
@Octopie Monster - the baby can be either race; 50% chance. So if they have baby again, your human baby may have a chimpanzee brother or a gorilla sister~ LOL
Ayven Feb 24, 2018 @ 5:13pm
Apes will pair with humans. One of the apes began paired with a girl, I checked for him to be willing to have a baby, and she fell pregnant and just gave birth. The baby has come out as a human though.

But it's interesting and funny XD
WalkingProblem  [author] Feb 8, 2018 @ 8:16pm
@CRI - Oh... yeah... its the vanilla game mechanics... Okay, I will think of how to make beds for babies and toddlers...

As long as it works for you right now, its good. =}

(because I forgotten what are the exact days it takes for each life stage, since each ape species is different, based on real apes data)
Kuro-Noche Feb 8, 2018 @ 11:45am
And yes, I have a toddler myself, I can say its pretty accuarate, except for the fact this ones are not troublessome at all. Mine is constantly trying to get thing on the floor.
Love the Hungry and Tired conditions.

The only thing I may mention is, when inmobile it is always rescue and set to a random medical bed. I guess this has to do more with game mechanics, and idk if is too much work, but it would be nice to have a bed for toddlers only. That way you can put them in their own rooms.
Just thowing some ideas at it.
Any way great job and thanks for the answers!
Kuro-Noche Feb 8, 2018 @ 11:30am
Sorry im not used to write in english. I mean I like how it is right now, on the amount of time it takes. It feels, for me at least, better balanced than what you mentioned on your previous comment, when you stated it took around 3years to become proper child labor force. I mean helpful colonist.
WalkingProblem  [author] Feb 8, 2018 @ 5:26am
@CRI - I dun understand what is "prefer the times like their happen to be actually"

Toddler - nice nice. =}
Because young kids just "cant function" the moment they are hungry or tired. LOL
Kuro-Noche Feb 7, 2018 @ 11:10pm
I prefer the times like their happen to be actually (3Y is quite a bit long for all of it). Also, like the way the toddler behaves is quite funny to see it being rescue by the colony dogs.
WalkingProblem  [author] Feb 7, 2018 @ 9:13pm
@CRI - I just remembered, different ape races takes different time for the various life stages. So maybe that's why the baby stage was quite short

But what you think of the baby and toddler stages? Works well the way it is for you?
Kuro-Noche Feb 6, 2018 @ 4:48pm
Im using the steam one. 2.0. For Alien Race.

- Seems like the baby stage took 13days.
- Toddler stage seems to be taking a bit more (the pawn is right now 2Q old, and still left 3Q and 13days to go). I belive the toddler stage is set to take about 1Y 2Q to complete.
Kuro-Noche Feb 6, 2018 @ 3:33pm
BTW great and funny ape mod you got here man, Thanks!
WalkingProblem  [author] Feb 5, 2018 @ 12:54am
@CRI [N++] - Which alien race you using? day 13th sounds a little early... =x
Kuro-Noche Feb 4, 2018 @ 4:44pm
Baby became a toddler at day 13th. Did you updates the times? quote: "it will be helpless (immobile) for around a year"d.
Kuro-Noche Feb 3, 2018 @ 5:21am
Cool, and thanks for clarifying that!
WalkingProblem  [author] Feb 3, 2018 @ 3:04am
@CRI - yes, it's done on purpose. The babies can be of either race. 50-50 chance
Kuro-Noche Feb 2, 2018 @ 7:37pm
Pregnancy is normal mod behavior when it happens across diffrent kind of appes?
Got a Chimp preg from a Gorilla. Not sure if intended.
WalkingProblem  [author] Jan 25, 2018 @ 12:55am
@Sir Willy the Foolish - the parent have to become lovers, sleep in the same 2-person bed, make sure you tick the "try for baby" option for both pawns in their heath tab and they will try for people.

Pregnancy will be hidden until it is 50% developed, and when its 100%, the baby will be spawned.

@Dragoonman66 - yes. Its normal. XD
RelicImperator Jan 24, 2018 @ 7:27pm
It's funny. When I was spawning the pawns, I got child soldiers. A meaasly 7yr old. Is that normal?
Sun Ra Jan 24, 2018 @ 2:12pm
And how are babies born?
WalkingProblem  [author] Jan 23, 2018 @ 10:29pm
@Sir Willy - when the baby its born, it will be helpless (immobile) for around a year. So the colonists will need to feed and entertain it for an entire year

it will then become a toddler, where half the time it will be immobile, while the other half, it will just wander around... it will not be able to do any work... this stage is around 2 years

lol.... and then it will become a child, in which you can start to send it to work and level up the skills
Sun Ra Jan 23, 2018 @ 3:44pm
Any description on how babies work?
WalkingProblem  [author] Jan 22, 2018 @ 11:20pm
@Dragoonman66 - it is cool! It adds so much more to the game~
RelicImperator Jan 22, 2018 @ 3:41pm
This seems super cool!
