Now compatible with GS
NobleZarkon Sep 11, 2018 @ 3:54pm
Great, thank you!
FearSunn  [author] Sep 8, 2018 @ 12:05pm
Update uploaded. Should be fixed now.
Moyocoya Sep 8, 2018 @ 1:04am
It is not that important... When you'll really have time :-D
FearSunn  [author] Sep 8, 2018 @ 12:18am
Ok. I see now. Player may get false notifications if he has NO religion of his own. This will be fixed when I have time.
Moyocoya Sep 7, 2018 @ 8:45pm
@FearSunn : same for me.
In my previous game : a notification for Paris changed religion, turn around 50, just after the achievement of Stonehenge. I did not met the french at this time.
Not really disturbing, but a real bug for sure.
Mada Gaskar Sep 7, 2018 @ 2:04pm
I did that in my previous posts. Like I said, I sometimes get notifications for a religion city change. When I click on it, it snaps the map to somewhere in the middle of nowhere, presumably because there is a city of another Civ that just gut a religion change. That is it.
FearSunn  [author] Sep 7, 2018 @ 11:31am
What exactly is happening? It works perfectly for me (single player). If you have issues please describe it in details. I wont help you if you dont tell me what exactly is wrong.
Mada Gaskar Sep 7, 2018 @ 11:26am
For me, it also keeps happening, even in Single player.
FearSunn  [author] Sep 7, 2018 @ 9:41am
@Noble
Is this multiplayer?
NobleZarkon Sep 7, 2018 @ 4:51am
"If other player has converted your city then you have had met already. I don't see how it could be done without meeting."

I have the same issue and have had to disable the Mod as a result, definitely getting notifications for Civs I haven't met :-(
FearSunn  [author] Aug 20, 2018 @ 11:28pm
New version uploaded. Multiplayer support added. Vision ENABLED on default.

FearSunn  [author] Aug 20, 2018 @ 6:03am
Interesting. I've never play multiplayer tbh. This is serious.
I am going to make vision off on default now.
Mada Gaskar Aug 20, 2018 @ 5:51am
Well, in our case he kept getting vision of my cities, even though we hadn't met yet. And it was always cities that just had made my religion the predominant one. And he was even able to send me a delegation by clicking on my citiy (even though my Civ did not show up in the top right bubbles). When I clicked on the notification for this, I saw myself (!) (Barbarossa) offering me the delegation. Definitely buggy. ^^

And your notification mods were the only ones we were running. :)
FearSunn  [author] Aug 20, 2018 @ 4:44am
If other player has converted your city then you have had met already. I don't see how it could be done without meeting.
Mada Gaskar Aug 20, 2018 @ 4:37am
Thank you. But is this the intended behaviour? I would have expected this mod to only work on cities that I already have discovered. The way it is right now, it feels like an unfair advantage.
FearSunn  [author] Aug 20, 2018 @ 4:32am
Edit ReligionNotificationPlugin.lua:
local GRANT_VISION = true;
set to false.
Mada Gaskar Aug 20, 2018 @ 4:28am
I had an issue in a multiplayer game lately, where everyone got vision of my cities through this notification, even though we hadn't met each other. This led to further weird behavrious, such as him being able to send me a delegation and stuff. It revealed whole parts of the map to him which he had not even scouted out before. I deactivated the mod for the time being. Or is there a way to deactivate the vision funktionality?
FearSunn  [author] Jul 4, 2018 @ 11:47pm
Right click on notification dismisses notification,
right click on small circled number dismisses all the stack.
FearSunn  [author] Jun 4, 2018 @ 11:31pm
Exactly! Spreading your religion has more benfits now.
Moyocoya Jun 4, 2018 @ 10:13pm
With vision : very good idea. I was wondering why they did remove this feature of civ5 which made religious expansion much more interesting.
FearSunn  [author] Jun 4, 2018 @ 8:35pm
Yes. It reveals map in 2 tiles radius....
beezany Jun 4, 2018 @ 8:31pm
What is the new "with Vision" change to this mod? Does reveal the map around cities converted to your religion? I like this as a UI mod but I don't really want to change gameplay.
Shiroho Mar 1, 2018 @ 3:15pm
that stuff should be done by firaxis srsly.... Thank you man
weregamer Feb 17, 2018 @ 8:45pm
Great! Thanks!
FearSunn  [author] Feb 17, 2018 @ 1:52pm
@weregamer
New Population Notification version just uploaded. Make sure you have it.
Find file NotificationPanel.lua in your Steam mods folder (yes, opaque number).
Open this file with Notepad. Find line:
local population_enabled = 99;
Set number to whatever you like at which population notifications should stop.
Save file as .lua, not txt! Hope that will work for you.
weregamer Feb 17, 2018 @ 1:17pm
I think that would be lovely, thanks.
FearSunn  [author] Feb 17, 2018 @ 1:31am
So... Do you want this switch?
weregamer Feb 17, 2018 @ 12:53am
Too true. It's especially annoying that Steam hides mod directories behind opaque numbers, so you have to go hunting for a config file.
FearSunn  [author] Feb 16, 2018 @ 10:03pm
@weregamer
Customisation UI is a hell lot of work. Glad you understand this. For now I have no such plans. What I could do easily is to include some code in the mod core files to turn off population notification. Like manual true/false swich. Not sure if that would be of any use as users usually dont like go under the hood.
weregamer Feb 16, 2018 @ 5:57pm
Actually, for true perfection but a lot of work, add an on-screen UI for turning each kind on and off, so I can get the pop notifications when an early settler is important but turn them off later.
weregamer Feb 16, 2018 @ 5:56pm
This is great.

My only wish, and it's a big one, is to make it standalone. While border and population changes are important, religion ones are critical. And the population ones quickly become spammy in a wide game.
FearSunn  [author] Feb 1, 2018 @ 11:46pm
Yes, it is (as all Population Notification mods) compatible with CQUI.
talt Feb 1, 2018 @ 10:17pm
Is this compatible with CQUI?
Evelyn Jan 27, 2018 @ 7:57am
Thanks
FearSunn  [author] Jan 26, 2018 @ 11:40pm
As requested "New religion founded" notification now added.
Evelyn Jan 26, 2018 @ 7:56am
But so annoying having to check it every turn. Plus you can’t get the gossip message if you don’t know them.
FearSunn  [author] Jan 25, 2018 @ 11:16pm
@DJ
Sorry, no. You get "gossip" popup when new religion is founded. Besides you could always check Religion Screen.
Evelyn Jan 25, 2018 @ 7:23pm
can you please make it so it notifies you when someone else founds a religion like on IV and V I miss that because I never know if someone else has founded one or not
FearSunn  [author] Jan 21, 2018 @ 8:33am
This is Plug-in for Population Notification. Make sure you have latest version! Otherwise this mod won't function.
