That makes sense .... I hadn't thought of that.
I'm on a very limited budget (social security retirement) so no extra funds for donations. But thanks for the offer. When Christmas rolls around, maybe I'll tell the son and grandson that I want "cash" so I can buy some new beautiful buildings for the next gamesave. meantime, I'll put your name and a link to this building on my "WishList" and maybe come next year you'll hear from me about that donation business.
:^)
Thanks for being so patient, Honker. Gonna go, now, and try to find some Vanilla Highrises that are not too ugly and just be satisfied with Asset Editing them with new names I can call up to plop them enmasse to create neighborhoods as good as I can manage for this gamesave.
You have a lovely week, now.
:^)
Gramps must've loved going to work in that building every day. Judging from the outside, it must have been really ornate and beautiful inside. I can just imagine high ceilings, wall trimmings, wood floors, etc..... I'd be in heaven working in a building like that every day .... course, like your gramps, I'm retired now.... so it's a moot point I guess, but how he must've loved it.
:^)
No worries, Honker. I understand.
I noticed, though, that when others asked for a certain building, you worked on making one for them. That's something I've noticed no other modders seem to be willing to do.
I'm just putting this out there and won't be upset if you say "no", but thought maybe, just maybe, you'd be willing to make from 2 to 5 ""non-Rico"" highrise apartments that have your beautiful touches on them and that already hold 150 to 200 households (no maint cost or plopping cost; like the Vanilla buildings). If you were willing to do that, I'd be willing to wait a month or two for them instead of sharing my gamesave in a week or two.
Again, no worries if you don't have time or just are not interested. But when I find someone who makes such gorgeous buildings, I have to try, right?
:^)
Thanks, Honker. Would you be okay with me using Asset Editor (if I can, haven't tried yet) to put the households into the building as a highrise that doesn't need Rico?
That way I could share it to Workshop as a residential revision of yours (with a link to this building of yours and also an aknowledgement that it's really your building placed in the first paragraph of my revision's description page).
I'd have to share it to Workshop, you see, in order to have it stay in my gamesave when people subscribe to the gamesave. Would you give me permission for that?
Your building is soooo beautiful. But I won't use RICO and I need a building that will hold at least 100 residences.
Judging by the number of floors (37) on your building and the number of windows on each floor, if 28 of the residences were 1-window studios on the first residential floor, and all the rest were half of a floor each, there could be, logically, 110 residences in the building.
Would you consider adding 110 residences to the building's properties.
Question: does Rico-Ready mean we can decide if we want to use RICO? and ifwe don't use it, are the residences still there and we can still plop it on any high density residential zone?
