It's just a texture change, you can disable or change it anytime without ruining your save.

Is ist Safe to remove and switch to the lighter version?
RAD EMERALD Jul 21 @ 3:50am
THANK DUDE DONE UPDATE 1.6!
chuiu  [author] Jul 12 @ 5:34am
It should work fine on any version but I'll try to update it later today.
Faustus the Stupid Jul 12 @ 4:07am
Any chance for 1.6? ;-;
Yutoe Jul 11 @ 12:55pm
Also, this does seem to work on 1.6, as i loaded it with it, but uhh i wouldnt put it past it breaking with all the new world features and such
Yutoe Jul 11 @ 12:51pm
I need that GREEN good stuff
kuro Jul 7 @ 11:43pm

I made a version that is compatible with ReGrowth: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2882040405
Rhix Oct 17, 2023 @ 12:20pm
If you'd like to fix the incompatibility with Regrowth you can open the ...steamapps/workshop/content/294100/1268832971/textures/terrain/surfaces folder, make a copy of the "soil" file and rename it to TemperateSoil.png and/or TropicalSoil.png and as long as Greenworld is set to overwrite Regrowth you'll get nice green soil tiles in your game.

Also works for the Lite version - just open the mod folder id 1542284250
Rokk Aug 27, 2023 @ 8:13am
This mod is incompatible with ReGrowth: Core, as that mod adds its own soil textures under different texture names. Is it possible for you to include patches for these soil types?

You would have to include "TemperateSoil.png" and "TropicalSoil.png" (and possibly TundraSoil.png) as extra files under "Textures\Terrain\Surfaces".

Any chance you can turn the effect off in roofed areas. Grass shouldn't grow without light.
Ickura Oct 30, 2022 @ 3:35pm
Very good! :steamhappy:

@ickura: I made a version that is compatible with ReGrowth: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2882040405
Ickura Oct 22, 2022 @ 12:50pm
My bad, its actually regrowth core
Ickura Oct 22, 2022 @ 12:46pm
I think I found the issue, its freaking regrowth temperate forest overriding the soil texture even if its loaded before greenworld smh...
Ickura Oct 22, 2022 @ 12:08am
I'm having the same issue as Amnesiac, the soil hasn't changed for me either.
FossyMossy Oct 14, 2022 @ 7:27pm
Damnnn already 1.4? The devil works hard but the devs of greenworld work harder lmao
Amnesiac Apr 14, 2022 @ 7:19pm
Doesn't seem to be changing the Soil in my game, might have a conflict but I'm loading this mod last
FishTechnician Mar 25, 2022 @ 5:50am
I like that it affects deserts. I want little oases. If you follow the advice of other commenters I hope it's a standalone joint. Besides, if they wanna play on a certain biome without the textures from this mod they could uh... turn it off..?
Husker_85 Feb 4, 2022 @ 11:20am
Alternately you could exclude desert and ice biomes so that you can spawn in the desolate desert but still visit a lush forest.
UNNepomuk Sep 15, 2021 @ 11:24am
A suggestion: Why not overhaul also the desert bioms with some dead grass or bushes?
NE0XY Sep 10, 2021 @ 1:16pm
Great mod, would love an effect for rich soil, thanks =)
GrenadesAndHamm Aug 2, 2021 @ 9:17am
I checked to confirm, and it's true. You're not my mother.
Ealen Jun 11, 2021 @ 3:53am
I like this mod, but when loading this mod on a large map, frequent scrolling of the mouse pulley and zooming out of the camera lens will cause the game to crash.
Atamis Jan 18, 2021 @ 9:35pm
Man really wish this didn't ruin other biomes with soil. Deserts actually look worse with all that green slathered around with no water source.
Sumatris Jan 8, 2021 @ 4:13am
Great mod! However, expanding on what others already requested: could you please overhaul rich soil as well? Your current mod doesn't seem to change anything about it although rich soil should be the greenest of all, considering its fertility. Thanks! :-)
Montu Aug 11, 2020 @ 6:11am
Hey Chuiu, I was wondering if you are planning to update to 1.2, thanks for the amazing mod, I can't play without it!
salvadore Jul 16, 2020 @ 8:28pm
I was looking for a mod that makes grass not die in winter, but this looks more worthwhile.
BaQstein Jul 8, 2020 @ 11:48am
Love the mod, but could you give stony soil another texture than grass? The transition from stone to grass is too strong
Senacharim Jul 5, 2020 @ 2:14am
@chuiu
In 1.1 Rimworld, it's possible for a mod to indicate to the game which mods should be before it. I note Greenworld fails to do this--you may wish to look into it.

Aside from that, thank you for a wonderful mod!
Scarlytte Apr 9, 2020 @ 1:06pm
I love this mod! the only downside is now the rich soil areas look barren compared to the rest of the green map
Dizzy Ioeuy Feb 29, 2020 @ 11:31pm
This mod is GREAT! It's better than the HD terrain mod I was using. so thanks!
Ickura Feb 28, 2020 @ 9:23pm
We appreciate this mod, thank you.
Pillowesque Feb 26, 2020 @ 10:53am
<3 you
chuiu  [author] Feb 25, 2020 @ 3:21pm
I just want to point out that at the time of me posting this, this mod is included in 1337 collections. Thank you, have a nice day.
RealLifeHobgoblin Feb 25, 2020 @ 3:08pm
Thank you.
Minnowmize Feb 25, 2020 @ 1:00pm
Fantastic mod, would love to see a 1.1 update if you could afford the time, please!
ΔTØM Feb 24, 2020 @ 8:07am
@chuiu please update to 1.1... your mod makes all the difference when playing RW.. thank you anyway
Talisman1973 Feb 24, 2020 @ 4:22am
I am hoping this will be updated to 1.1 in the near future?
Ickura Feb 15, 2020 @ 12:58pm
Its so beautiful, thank you!
Lucabaduka Sep 15, 2019 @ 11:28am
It sounds weird, but if it weren't for this mod, I probably would have stopped playing by now. Thanks for making the game more pleasant <3
chuiu  [author] Jul 30, 2019 @ 3:10pm
No, that's just the way Rimworld blends together different tiles. Someone would have to make a mod to stop this from happening, and I'm not even sure that is possible. I really wish I knew how because I like using tiled flooring as paths, but it only looks good when next to walls.
Phant Jul 29, 2019 @ 4:45pm
is there a way to make it so grass doesnt overlap with other floors. for example i dont want the grass to overlap with my paved tile
MasterOfBacon Apr 15, 2019 @ 10:04pm
looks more immersive
Dosboy Jan 21, 2019 @ 11:10am
This is a sweet thing on the eyes! Thank you.
kellichu Nov 5, 2018 @ 4:36am
Was looking for a way to make stuff less brown. I know its meant to be baron planets and stuff but i love making everything pretty XD thank you.
Pinenuts Oct 19, 2018 @ 7:15am
This is the one that should be in vanilla game.
