this map is amazing. it's just really hard. i spent over 10 minutes on the painting part and gave up, im not sure if this is meant to to happen but the lines that point to the other paints never appeared for me. i got so desprate i used my infi-jump mod and still couldn't find it. also i like how on windfall there's the cheater sign

@Mr.Homelesshobo After seeing your brilliant work in the candy scavenger hunt, I really wish this one was working. Best of luck in restoring/remaking it! :)

There should be checkpoints though. This map is all sorts of bugged it seems. I'll be potentially remaking it
We go together May 29, 2019 @ 10:25pm
REALLY needs checkpoints, I got to outset island and due to some intense platform I got back to the start with no backup boat.
Habanero May 23, 2019 @ 5:59pm
Yeah, being able to import levels from other games and rework them into HiT levels is the best part of the workshop. Thanks for your work.
Mr.Homelesshobo  [author] May 23, 2019 @ 12:55pm
It does need to be update, however my old files seem to be corrupted. I'll be looking into either updating it, or remaking the map from scratch and hopefully making it better.
Habanero May 22, 2019 @ 11:43pm
Probably needs to be updated. The silver rupees are invisible (with only a faint silver glow) and you can't access the rupee on the tower normally because you can't climb the ladder all the way. As for the rest of the map, the painting hunt was okay but everything else was dull since half of the level is waiting to sail to the next island (the true Wind Waker Experience). I'd like to see more Wind Waker levels as modders improve.

I have trouble this map. Everything goes well until i get to the two block section near the top of the village where you would be heading into the woods. I double jump before i use the dweller mask to reveal the blocks but the aura vanshis before i manage to get to the second black. ... Did like how one of the ruppees are on the spike under the second block. that was a craitive reward for failing the first few times.

It's a cool map! You get to play in some places from the The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker's world! There isn't much to do and the challenges are quite simple (even though the silver rupees can be hard to spot; especially since their textures didn't load when I tried the map out), but it's still enjoyable!

Was not a fan of the storm. Felt like static, more than a storm. Also, needed to use a flying hat to even leave the main island, after the boat just stopped in the middle of the ocean.
Afterglow Oct 11, 2018 @ 8:51pm
Wind makes the whole thing lag. Boat dumps you into the water unceremoniously. Falling into water is very easy and there are no health pickups anywhere. :ZE3_GameOver: Time limit is too strict considering how weird the geomtry is to climb on that one island.
Mr.Homelesshobo  [author] Sep 22, 2018 @ 4:14pm
Because I wanted to have a storm and a boat part
Pantsu Sep 22, 2018 @ 3:50pm
Why the boat part at the beginning and why even have the storm?

Ladders are REALLY wonky , it's not your fault
AltoClarinet Aug 31, 2018 @ 8:17pm
Grabbed a ladder in Grandma's house, drifted in the air backwards into the door and was stuck. I may have caused that with one of the other mods I have?

THERES NO GOT DAMN SEA

Really fun level, great mood, some awkward down platforming but nothing too bad. Some times i wished the interiors had some collectables or something to make it feel more alive but loved it nonetheless! Keep at it! Also loved the zelda soundtrack ofc!

The map has really good ideas, but in my opinion it's still unfinished:

- It has lots of graphical bugs: the water is invisible, the silver rupees are invisible as well (the bright effect is still visible), it rains inside the houses...

- Some parts are not very well designed: the boat is too fast, it's almost impossible to pick up the rupees on the rocks while you sail to the next island, also, some jumps that requiere the Dweller Mask are very short of time

- The map feels empty, some NPCs from The Wind Waker or even from A Hat in Time itself, with dialoges etc could fix this

As I said, it has good ideas, but it needs some improvements.

Pretty laggy on low end PCs, I like the idea though.
Maybe a daytime one to cut the rain effects off?
TruExtent May 17, 2018 @ 11:34pm
I'm having trouble finding the fifth rupee. Here's the ones I could find: 1 behind Grandma's house where you have to jump over the one pit 2 on top of the tall rock under the bridge 3. at the top of the watch tower 4. at the end of the broken bridge with the bridge substituted for dweller mask platforms. It's fifth and last one I can't find. Can't tell if it's me or the mod not loading it correctly.

Also, agreed with everyone else, the storm is a bit much. I don't know, maybe you could use the night time setting. Or at least stop the storm if possible upon reaching Outset Island.

Also I found that one sign. ;D
Loom May 15, 2018 @ 12:40pm
I don't understand the point of the storm. It was also kind of silly to have to start over from the very beginning if you fell into water. Not the best map- Great idea, bad execution.
aac013 May 5, 2018 @ 9:23am
You win some, you lose some. The idea was great, and the challenges were interesting. The time limit on the painting one is a bit tough, perhaps just having to find the paintings and carrying them back would be challenge enough? The storm makes visuals glitch out a little bit, and takes away from the variety in the islands we visit. All in all, good work, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

actually one of the best maps ive played! thanks!:mafia:
hex zero Mar 29, 2018 @ 12:30am
The mod is good but i would suggest you correct the grammar. Challenge* instead of Challange and Destroy* the paintings instead of Destory
D YellowMadness Mar 27, 2018 @ 11:50am
I agree with what other people said about the wind & rain especially since it caused me to have to minimize all of my settings in the exterior areas & even then it was laggy. Still a good level though. I especially like the ending.
shadowwolf128 Mar 18, 2018 @ 1:16pm
Cant go up to the watchtower the ladder stops halfway
794redfield Feb 28, 2018 @ 1:08pm
Just a heads up, Rift Tokens continue to still exist on future playthroughs and even though I KNOW I beat this map twice already, run number 3 counted as though I didn't get the Time Piece yet and added it to my counter.

Loved the atmosphere. Felt very lonely (in a good way). Keep up the good work on these ambitious maps!
Hytusk Feb 16, 2018 @ 7:09am
If only we had the King of Red Lions and the Wind Waker!
Nuki Feb 4, 2018 @ 4:58pm
Great Map so far, i would love to see an update of this mod. Dragon Roost Island would be sick!
hey look I'm a cat Feb 3, 2018 @ 1:29am
i couldn't find the last rupee.
794redfield Jan 16, 2018 @ 8:55pm
No problem, even if there are some minor flaws by way of bugs, pointing them out helps the creator make a good mod better.
Mr.Homelesshobo  [author] Jan 16, 2018 @ 6:43pm
Thank you for making me aware.
Mr.Homelesshobo  [author] Jan 16, 2018 @ 6:43pm
Thats troubling, I had tested that while making the mod and it seemed to respawn. I'll have to looki into this.

Sir JupusKupus Jan 16, 2018 @ 6:34pm
just a heads up, iif you acedientally drop a painting into the water there is no way to completemthe island without reseting the mod i dont know how you would fix that but i slipped off the spire into the water with the painting and had to reset.
794redfield Jan 12, 2018 @ 7:04pm
Also, bugs. The Painting Island begins with the paintings already burned after the 1st completion, so the entire gets skipped on future runs, also, it probably wasn't intentional but the Rift Tokens also respawn on future runs, so they can be earned multiple times.
794redfield Jan 12, 2018 @ 12:18pm
Oh, it's still pretty large for what it is, but I do suggest putting stuff inside the interiors, though they look neat, most of the buildings and especially the forest felt barren and kind of pointless to enter.
Sheriff Boyardee Jan 12, 2018 @ 10:57am
Nice work on this map! I really liked the small details you included such as the boat rocking in the rough waters. I think the rain is okay but maybe turn down the blowing fog a little bit. It was also cool that you included the building interiors, but maybe put something inside, like collectibles or rupees/pons.
Mr.Homelesshobo  [author] Jan 11, 2018 @ 11:02pm
However when I do expand on the idea, I will keep your guys suggestions in mind.
Mr.Homelesshobo  [author] Jan 11, 2018 @ 11:01pm
The issue with swimming, is that drowning takes awhile, and often the player would be wasting a lot of time waiting to drown.
Stella Veritas Jan 11, 2018 @ 10:29pm
Loved it, but the weather was a bit too much. It would have been nice to have it be sunny and have more of the tracks from Wind Waker. Also as another user pointed out, swimming probably wouldn't break the mod. Touching the water like it's a pit doesn't make much sense.
Mr.Homelesshobo  [author] Jan 11, 2018 @ 10:27pm
Not the entire great sea. Though I do plan on expanding on this concept in the future, I aplogize for misleading you.
794redfield Jan 11, 2018 @ 9:18pm
Wait, the ENTIRE Great Sea? The Big Octos aren't in this are they?
Mr.Homelesshobo  [author] Jan 11, 2018 @ 8:55pm
Thank you for the constructive criticism, I always appericate people giving me pointers on how to improve my works. I'll keep your comments in mind.
snerck Jan 11, 2018 @ 6:20pm
Agreed with the removal of the rain, it was cool to see that you've added the interiors too but the rain just clips into there too and messes with the look of things.

Also instantly being warped back to the checkpoint after touching the water is really annoying. Hat Kid can't swim very far anyway so I doubt that making the water swimmable would break too much.
Sand Josieph Jan 11, 2018 @ 5:14pm
That was a pretty cool map. Though it would have probably been better without the weather. I wasn’t able to really appreciate it with all the wind and rain. :(
