not working. got 4 exp on boss instead of 8 (twice). Too bad. No mod increasing experience seems to work.

@Tohru 8, 12, 24 :steamthumbsup:

What are the values for Plot Quests?
Obi-Jihn Mar 22, 2020 @ 2:07pm
doesnt work
Micadi  [author] Feb 7, 2019 @ 12:14am
Yeah, those are the values that my mod sets up for dungeon resolve rewards.

@MJpoland
I had a quick question before I start my new campaign using your mod and I wanted to make sure I was right with the math.

Apprentice
short = 4
medium = 6
long = 8

Veteran
short = 6
medium = 9
long = 12

Champion
short = 12
medium = 18
long = 24

No problem. Glad I could help. If you want to further tweak any values just go to the my mod folder in steam/steamapps/worksop/content/262060/1254436850 and search for resolve in the quest.generation.json file (under campaign/quest folders) - notepad should suffice. To change rewards for boss mission you will have to make changes to quest.plot_quests.json file (same place)

Well thank you for clearing that up for me and I'm going to use your mod as it at least seems to be working.

With the other mod, for whatever reason I have seen all kinds of different results for resolve given and it has really done a number on me and confused me.
If you look at the comments I gave detailed accounts telling the results.
Micadi  [author] Feb 6, 2019 @ 2:51am
I'm pretty sure that description of that mod is actually incorrect. If you look at the values they are the same as on the wiki, but the author for some reason thought that the points scale according to difficulty of the game (stygian/darkest/bloodmoon) rather than difficulty of dungeon (apprentice/veteran/champion). Start the game without any mods. You will get 2 exp on apprentice short on darkest and 3 on medium, I assure you.
NeVeRLiFt Feb 6, 2019 @ 2:39am
Not 100% sure on that, but that was what I was told and I saw the other modder say and going off of with their mod.

I'm pretty sure there is a difference in the resolve given with Radiant vs Darkest and Stygian/Bloodmoon now....

short/medium/long
Radiant = 2/3/4
Darkest = 4/6/8
Stygian/Bloodmon = 8/12/16
Micadi  [author] Feb 6, 2019 @ 2:11am
Sorry, but you are actually mistaken. Default medium apprentice resolve is 3 exp. Look at the darkest dungeon wiki: https://darkestdungeon.gamepedia.com/Expedition#Resolve

It seems that my mod is working properly, you are just mistaken about default resolve gain values
NeVeRLiFt Feb 6, 2019 @ 2:01am
I've also tested with this mod here... and sadly have seen the same thing happen.
Something has happened since CoM patch and it has made these mods that adjust resolve not work right.
The last patch was on Dec 5th but I'm not sure when it happened.
I do know that the More Resolve mod was working during CoM so it was something afterwards when it stopped. I just came back to the game during the Holidays and I have been beta testing some mods for certain modders, so being able to level faster is a big help and I saw right away that something was not right.

Same as I posted below... new game with verified files and only your mod.
Darkest apprentice medium dungeon = 6 resolve which is default.... so your mod is not working right.

ps: I ran three dungeons just to be sure
Micadi  [author] Feb 6, 2019 @ 1:45am
Wait, wait, the normal vaue for apprentice short dungeon is 2 resolve exp (https://darkestdungeon.gamepedia.com/Expedition#Resolve)
I just got through a short apprentice quest on a new save with my mod and I got 4 resolve exp (2 times more as it should be):
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/959732892664941259/05689774C74833905DBCAD8CCAF0903119B52766/

everything works fine for me, there must be an issue on your side, sorry
NeVeRLiFt Feb 6, 2019 @ 1:17am
I started a new game with just your mod and nothing else, here are the results.

Darkest apprentice short dungeon gave 2 resolve
Darkest apprentice medium dungeon gave 6 resolve

So there is something not right I'm sad to say.
Micadi  [author] Feb 6, 2019 @ 12:57am
Sorry, no idea why is that happening for you. As you see in the image below my mod definitely sets it to a higher number for darkest apprentice. There were no updates to affected files since I played the game last time and it worked properly for me back then. Other than that, I can only suggest trying to start a new campaign only with my mod and check after the first two tutorial dungeons what resolve gain will be then. I will start a new campaign though to make sure that the issue is not on my end.
NeVeRLiFt Feb 5, 2019 @ 11:39pm
I ran three Darkest short apprentice dungeons and each time it was 4 resolve.
Your mod was at the top of the load order.

So I don't know what to make of it.... it is not working for me sadly.
Micadi  [author] Feb 5, 2019 @ 9:11pm
On my side all files checks out:

this mod just replaces a few numbers, there is no reason for it to not work...

Additional note: this mod doeas not affect dlc and tutorial quests (so it would be compatible with every version of the game)
NeVeRLiFt Feb 5, 2019 @ 9:03pm
yeah let me retest by running two dungeons in a row....
and yes I'm running some mods that generate quests, but your mod was at the top of the load order

here are the mods
Scarlet Ruins
The Hell
Town Wars
Crimson Court: Virulent Overhaul
Micadi  [author] Feb 5, 2019 @ 8:57pm
Ok, two questions:
1. Are you using some other mod that affects quest generation?
2. Did you add this mod to existing campaign (didnt start a new game)? If so, you will need to let the game generate quests again for this to take effect.
NeVeRLiFt Feb 5, 2019 @ 8:47pm
I just did a quick test on Darkest with a short apprentice dungeon which by default is 4 resolve and your mod gave me 3 resolve... Radiant would have gave 2.

So yeah something is not right.

Micadi  [author] Feb 5, 2019 @ 8:42pm
There were no major updates to the game so there should be no reason for this mod to not work. True, I didnt touch the game for a long time but its hard to believe that it suddenly stopped to work. Are you sure that some other mod is not interfering with this one?
NeVeRLiFt Feb 5, 2019 @ 8:34pm
Yeah it's not working... I'm on Darkest and it's giving resolve like I'm Radiant.
NeVeRLiFt Feb 5, 2019 @ 7:50pm
Does this mod still work?

If anyone using this could reply and let me know that would be great... and umm yeah I'm need you to come in on Sunday and the TPS reports are going to need cover sheets now.

:stress:

Myrryr Jun 21, 2018 @ 10:20pm
Yeah, they changed how the quests are how generated. I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what was causing my quests to not show up until I meticulously read the patch notes and noticed the quest xml was rewritten. Since the only other mod I'm aware of to change quests that I have is scarlet ruins and it's disabled, it had to be this one.
Micadi  [author] Jun 21, 2018 @ 7:55pm
@Myrryr
To be honest I'm surprised that the update changed methods for the base game quest generation, didnt thought I will need to update this mod at all. Hopefully it will work now. If still not I will go back to this mod in a few days when I will have more time.
Micadi  [author] Jun 21, 2018 @ 7:47pm
I didnt yet had a chance to test it (unfortunately no time to play a new campaign at the moment), but I think the mod should work now for the CoM expansion. Could someone confirm?
Myrryr Jun 21, 2018 @ 1:10pm
For those using this mod, I think it's the one that's causing quests to not show up on the mission page
Myrryr Jun 21, 2018 @ 11:54am
Gonna update this for CoM?
Shadowdragon.TTV May 20, 2018 @ 1:23pm
Im only using this mod to get a houndmaster, arbalest, antiquarian, and abomination to level 6, because they keep dying. I have beaten the final darkest dungeon quest, and killed every boss without much difficulty, and I dont feel like spending 12 hours just trying to get 4 classes I never use to level 6
Haybusa May 6, 2018 @ 9:47am
This is really good if you want to use a ton of modded classes and only use one of each class. I have 40 in total including vanilla and dlc. So it's pretty good if you want to reduce grinding times.

this mod is awesome! THX!!:steamhappy:
