Like if someone created a character using the Lucario mod, could they use this mod as well?
There is a possiblity to do so, but in starbound the hotkeys you can use are very limited, so it would cause incompability with some other mods that already bind those hotkeys.
However, I did think of a way to do it easier, and I could add a scripted item that show the circle of emotes you can do (If you ever played Don't Starve Together, there's an Emote Wheel)
But hey, now I finally have a place to send all these "add Fortnite dance!!" requests. Thanks! :D

Creating emotes for their race is the responsibility of the mod's author. My mod only triggers their play. Though, I'm pretty sure the avalii do have their emotes done. Do check it out!
A Coffin Dance Mod!eh?How 'bout it?No?
ok
Kinda just changing the post of your character without file editing on the fly, If its possible to make a dance mod it is probally possible to make a pose mod, Even if your just doing a workaround
I work professionally as a video game artist. I do 3D modeling and animation. I don't do any coding though (just art). So my suggetion comes from working in game development for the last decade.
My suggestion is from an immersive animator/designer perspective. These little timing things may seem inconsequential at first, but from a game polishing perspective they drastically change immersion and player enjoyment (from a game feature not working very well at all, to that same feature being a very huge/fun success).
Basically everone tried them out once, and had a quick laugh. ...But from there, the timing of trying to do more than one gesture was so clunky that everyone just stopped using the gestures.
Which is a huge bummer, because your idea behind the mod (of players being as expressive as the NPC's would add so much life and colorful entertainment to the game!
I think this simple feature update (of not making the menu close after selecting a gesture) would make your mod much more playable and very popular in the Steam Workshop.
Thanks for listening :-) ...and thanks tons for your work on the mod so far!!! It's a really cool concept!!! ...just needs a small tweak.
Just this simple feature (of not having the "Dancing" menu close each time one does a gesture), and being able to select a 2nd, and 3rd gesture from the menu (without it closing inbetween gestures), would add tons to create much more natural timing of character interactions (for roleplaying) with other players on one's server.
This small change would add so much immersion to the timing of character interactions!!!! :-)
Could you make it so the "Dancing" menu doesn't close when a gesture is activated?
It would be amazing if the "Dancing" menu would just stay open once a gesture has been activated, so the player can select and activate a 2nd gesture immediately following the 1st active gesture (without having the wasted time of being required to go back to the minibar and reopen the "Dancing" menu all over again).
Being required to reopening the "Dancing" menu multiple times in a row in order to select a series of character interactions adds about a 10 second delay between each gesture. 10 seconds doesn't seem like a lot at first, but from an animation perspective that kind of motionless time inbetween gestures, is actually super-long (to have your character just stand there doing nothing between interactions) :-(
You clearly said, and I quote: "I had a weird addon for this mod" blah-blah-blah "jojo".
just an odd sugestion.
