That mod is based off of RPG Traits. It is NOT an updated version of RPG traits, but rather a replacement built from the ground-up.

The latest fixed version of RPG Traits I know of is below:

Alongside this, I made a patch for that mod that majorly tweaks the mod and does some rebalancing. It, however, is still not properly balanced. I've abandoned the mod, however, and am developing RPP instead.

I find it quite funny how there's this sort of succession line where each player tries to pick up the remnants of the past modders and pull the mod together.

Slowly trying to repair this mod is good experience tho, despite the fact that it's gonna be an utter pain with the honestly little experience I have with Stellaris modding.

When I'm talking about all the changed between 2.5 and 2.6, I meant on the side of Stellaris and not this mod, but it IS nice to know that you haven't actually developed the mod so I can think less about screaming at you and instead scream at the skies for the horror that is trying to repair this mod.

You do realize that this mod was never updated for 2.5, this mod is from 2.2, and even then it was a half baked patch with flaws.

And this is just the lite version of the mod, RPGT Heavy is the full mod and that had numerous issues left unaddressed.

It is a lot more complicated than just a bunch of traits as well, including its own custom system for generating AI species traits to prevent AI doing its usual minmaxing or going for any cheaty traits.

The original mod developer is likely not coming back seeing as I havent heard from him in a year and none of us three who currently host it on steam intend on returning to maintaining it.

Alright. Wow. Just... Wow. Looks like a ton of things were changed between 2.5 and 2.6, maybe too much for an ameteur modder like me. I'll try and see what I can do, but this error list I'm looking at is absolutely massive. Over 3K lines of errors.

I'll see what I can do, and try to repair the mod one file at a time, but I can't promise anything with the admittedly little knowledge I have of modding Stellaris.

Alright, so the mod makes Stellaris crash. This is definitely not good. I'll go see what I can do.

Depending on the severity of these issues, I might just take over the mod's development until the creator returns, or further expand my General Fixes and Tweaks patchmod. I'll see what I can do.

sorry ive replied so late, i've actually been looking into balancing machine empires. i'll DEFINITELY balance more machine traits as i go.

What exactly isn't working? I'll try and see the issues with the mod on my end once I get to it, but it'd be nice to know if it's causing crashes at startup, traits aren't working as they should, or altstart traits aren't working.

@explodoboy if your looking into bug fixes then could you look into the machines as well? I started a Titanic Hive Mind machine empire but the colony ships take consumer goods which you cant produce as my race. I think it has to do with the fact that the colony ship costs are set in stone and not affected by modifiers. If you could fix that it would be greatly appreciated.

I've fixed the Lithoids incompatibility COMPLETELY, and have made many fixes/tweaks to the mod. Here are all the links!

I'll also shamelessly plug my Localisation Overhaul while I'm here, it's basically an overhaul to all the trait descriptions with some nice formatting and such. Lithoid Fix is the only mod that is a MUST HAVE, though.

Hey devs of RPG Traits! I did some searching and found the new food upkeep trait modifier!

I've tested it myself, and will be implementing it in a bugfix for this mod (which should be up on the workshop soon.)

UPDATE:
I think I just found the issue. RPG Traits as stated in conflicts (bottom of description) overwrites the vanilla species archetypes, effectively wiping the Lithoid archetype from the game. I will see if restoring the definition of the LITHOID archetype will fix anything.

Hello, all! I'm trying to fix the issue of Lithoids not being compatible with the current version of RPG Traits (along with some other issues.)

I will post the replacement mod if I am able to fix the lithoid compatibility issue.

This crashes the moment the game tries to load a save or start a new game.

You will note the mod was last updated 10 months ago, which is why it doesn't like newer versions of the game. I don't know what the update schedule is like either

This mod doesn't seem to like Lithoids, from the new DLC. If you could fix this, it would be much appreciated. This is one of my favorite mods of all time, I can't enjoy the game the same without it.

Not sure why, but this mod seems to break the L-gate. This is a shame because I usually rely on this mod.

Greetings, And thank you for the creation of this awesome mod! I love it and wish to keep playing with it. However I have a request. After the recent Megacorp update I feel as though the game went a poor direction design wise. Portrait sizes are to small and many other things. As such I am playing with version 2.1.3 before the update. If possible can I have access to the mod version that supports V 2.1.3? I absolutely love this mod, and would like to share a major localisation patch that I've made for this wonderful mod.

It's just a localisation mod that tries to improve this mod as much as it can, with a few built-in bugfixes, too!

Activate the mod. If you're not getting that, the mod is either not active, or another one is overwriting that.

Indeed! He has also been posting on the mod's reddit as well. Be sure to let them know of any issues you are having. He has also linked to a mod that sort of fixes the endless population boom species with the +1000 fertility trait have.

tbh, it's working for 2.3.1, and most of the traits haven't been changed in a very long time, because stuff like habitability has been here for ages.
