@Uuugggg I'm using your excellent mod, but I didn't actually know of this feature until I found this thread searching for a mod for that purpose. Saves me installing a new one. Cheers! :)

I've put a similar features in Share The Load

Instead of designating for cutting, the wood cutters will simply look under blueprints and cut what is needed

single cell placement makes floors under beds not build.
also, same with pipes under walls etc.

Is this '\' keybinding really necessary? If i don't want the functionality i can just disable the mod... and it conflicts with other mods that add this keybinding, such as "Smarter Food Selection". I also don't understand why it needs a toggle button, but at least that doesn't pop up huge red warnings on startup.

Apart from that i really like this mod.

@Kutsuu Mugen In vanilla, the construction colonist will be the one who cuts trees in the planned area. If their growing skill is low, they will take a long time to cut down even one tree. Normally, I manually cut plants in construction zones so my growers are the ones who will cut the trees.

Uhm yeah I feel as though this is a default in the Vanilla game already, everytime I build flooring or anything they will cut down trees and such in the way. So how is this Mod any different than Vanilla other than adding the command to cut things down automaticly, which happens anyway in Vanilla.

Do pawns chop wood and harvest plants if possible or do they simply cut everything down without harvesting the resources?

@Garyou it's also that since they are designated for cutting, the colonists who are decent at plant-cutting will do it, rather than your builder with 0 in growing who spends six hours cutting one tree.

@Garyou. If you're building a floor, I have noticed that the game will just allow the floor to be built and act as if the object wasn't there. If you have any trees that yield resources or foods then you will not get them in the process of building floors. This mod helps auto correct that for us. But normally your pawns would remove the object first.

when placing objects that "build" instantly like sleeping spots this mod tries to cut things there anyways even when it is not needed.

I used key binding translation in "Predator Hunt Alert" page.

I've been doing this myself, excellent that there's a mod for this. It's essential for a jungle swamp playthrough, especially if your builder sucks at chopping wood.

It's funny that colonists who "will never cut plants" will happilly do so to build a building...

This MOD designates the plant cutters to cut plants.
But this MOD cannot prevent builders cutting plants.

A colonist who is assigned to construction cuts plants on planned construction site or planned installation site.
But if the colonist has no growing skill, this work takes long time.
So I make this MOD to reduce a thing like this.
