Yes it should be
Rambosfire Nov 11, 2023 @ 12:38pm
is this compatible with HIP?
Tempted  [author] Feb 25, 2023 @ 7:02pm
It should but that mod already has a cadet system.
Ror Feb 25, 2023 @ 2:42pm
will this work for AGOT
Tempted  [author] Jan 13, 2022 @ 11:36am
Yes you need to have a child that is of your current dynasty.
Kisigi Jan 12, 2022 @ 7:12pm
I'm meeting al the conditions, but not one, the Any Child ( character) but I meet the conditions to the Same dynasty as (character), it's because I dont have any child? or is broken to me?
tf.take Jan 5, 2022 @ 4:48pm
Thanks for the replies, I should have read the description on the tool mod
Tempted  [author] Jan 5, 2022 @ 4:32pm
You might want to use my Cadet Dynasty Tool mod for that.
tf.take Jan 5, 2022 @ 1:01pm
Is there a way to make it so AI can't create cadet branches and only the player?
tf.take Jan 5, 2022 @ 12:30pm
That's a shame, since it wouldn't cause a game over when you have other living members in cadet branches. I can still just edit dnt manually though
Tempted  [author] Jan 4, 2022 @ 3:35pm
No it does not.
tf.take Jan 4, 2022 @ 2:31pm
If no living survivors are left of a main branch, does a Cadet Branch adopt the main's dynasty? (This is a feature in the AGOT mod)
Mr. Bones Jul 24, 2021 @ 7:06pm
It would be neat if there was an option for matrilineal marriages to create a cadet branch, like the Habsburg-Lorraines
Tempted  [author] May 2, 2021 @ 9:12am
If you form the cadet branch yourself yes. If a brother for example does it and inherit you cannot except with mods.
Camin May 2, 2021 @ 6:25am
can i play as the character in my cadet branch?
WichtigerGamer Feb 2, 2021 @ 5:40am
Ok, thank you
Tempted  [author] Feb 1, 2021 @ 7:50am
Yes with ordinary game rules its game over:
"Landing all your siblings might result in game over if you cannot continue the main branch line."
WichtigerGamer Jan 31, 2021 @ 3:29pm
Can someone of a cadet branch inherit your title(s)? Or is it a game over if someone of not your (main) line inherits?
Gundisalvus Jan 31, 2021 @ 9:54am
This was a very good mod, now instead in ck3 is a fucking hell.
Aetini Nov 3, 2020 @ 11:00am
AGOT touches the dynasties and their flags and bloodlines ...and so on.
Teoctlamazqui Nov 3, 2020 @ 8:47am
Anyone know why this mod doesn’t work with agot?
michal Sep 21, 2020 @ 10:59am
@Tempted So what if there are two emperors, with equal amount of provinces?
Tempted  [author] Sep 16, 2020 @ 5:26am
There is such a thing. I didn't make it up. Its the highest ranked character of a dynasty.
michal Sep 16, 2020 @ 4:38am
What is head of dynasty. Pretty sure, there isn`t such a thing in vanilla
JadenStar10 Jul 9, 2020 @ 2:32pm
CK3 stole your mod lol
The Earl of Shitterton Jun 2, 2020 @ 12:03pm
thanks
Tempted  [author] May 24, 2020 @ 12:41pm
form_cadetsystem_branch
The Earl of Shitterton May 20, 2020 @ 10:36pm
what's the decision id? just punch decision form_cadet_branch into the console?
Siberian Frontier May 3, 2020 @ 5:28pm
Can you add "Rule" feature for this mod? We should be able to activate and deactivate it ingame.
SonicTheWarthog Mar 4, 2020 @ 9:46am
i see nothing in intrigue menu
ChaKal~ Feb 29, 2020 @ 10:46am
Problem SOLVED
For those who manually install mods in your games, like me, this one will work perfectly if you put all archives in the base game folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Crusader Kings II Holy Fury) NOT in Documents>Paradox>CKII>mods

Thanks to Tempted for the great mod
ChaKal~ Feb 23, 2020 @ 2:55pm
I take some screenshots to illustrate my situation
you can check all here

Tempted  [author] Feb 22, 2020 @ 4:10pm
Works for me. Make sure you checked the potential and allowed requirements.
ChaKal~ Feb 22, 2020 @ 2:03pm
The decision to form a cadet branch never show up to me in my playthrounghs, AI didn't create one either, even if i load a game as a any ruler in the world who atended the requirements, story repeats...
my game is updated and i only use one other mod, a graphical one, Better Look Garbs
i tried to edit "temptd_cadetsystem_decisions" file, lowering prestige and ruled years, problem persists
Alfred Atheling Jan 29, 2020 @ 4:36pm
this should be in the base game
Arthur Revan Nov 11, 2019 @ 10:50pm
@ChaKal~
Should be, it just a decision.
Just try it.
ChaKal~ Nov 11, 2019 @ 8:56pm
this mod works on saves already started?
lelele Nov 7, 2019 @ 9:43pm
They added their own cadet system? When? I can't find any info on it.
Tempted  [author] Sep 5, 2019 @ 5:17pm
I play this with HIP all the time. I have not tried it with the latest HIP patch where they added their own Cadet system.

This should work with anything as all added decisions and events are new and don't replace anything.
SonicTheWarthog Aug 29, 2019 @ 10:24pm
so this will work with ck2+ or hip? i guess i will give it a try i just hate to start a new game with it and find out 50 years into the game it is bugged lol
Tempted  [author] Aug 29, 2019 @ 5:31am
Finally had the time to return to this. Fixed the grandchildren issue, thanks Arthur Revan =)
Dorimi 王狼 Aug 18, 2019 @ 1:19am
thnx
Arthur Revan Jun 21, 2019 @ 10:45am
Hey guys, I've fixed the bugs:
1) "Turns daughter's children who were part of a different dynasty"
2) The same stuff was happening for any children who were part of a different dynasty.
3) Children from the previous marriage were still part of the original dynasty (which was causing dynasty tree bag)

Here is the "decisions" file.

Tempted  [author] May 31, 2019 @ 12:09pm
Ah didnt think about that scenario. I'll try to change that so it only applies to your son/heirs grandchildren
Mashsmouth May 30, 2019 @ 11:56am
Just one "bug." When a new cadet dynasty is made, it turns all grandchildren into your new dynasty. Even if it's your daughter's children who were part of a different dynasty to begin with.
Tempted  [author] Nov 19, 2018 @ 10:45am
I'm using this with the new patch and holy fury, and it seems to be working fine.
Tempted  [author] Oct 16, 2018 @ 1:32pm
Yeah that should be fine
Dr. Heckle & Mr Seek Oct 16, 2018 @ 11:19am
Can this be added and disabled during a game?
Arthur Revan Sep 22, 2018 @ 7:26pm
How about adding the requirement:
ruled_years = 10 (same as laws)
So if the character has received the title and died 3-5 years later, there won't be a dynasty with 1 child.
Keeps the save cleaner, + original dynasty will receive prestige from that title.
Tempted  [author] Jul 12, 2018 @ 3:04pm
They will not unfortunately. Tho they will be called cousins and the like if they are close enough in relation.
