if you ever come back to this, maybe you could make the species selectable the same way it is for other tenants: by having enough items tagged for a specific race present.

i love the diversity this mod adds! when you're life is less hectic, could you add some more species to the Rainbow Rogue tenants?

If you have the time, do you think you could add more races to the Inventor tenant? Like the steampunk fan tenant, it defaults as glitch only, but i would really like at *least* a novakid version for my novakid town ive been building!

Apologies for the complete lack of updates. Real life has become hectic (changing job, moving house, xmas, etc) and currently editing anything in my mod seems to cause a ctd. Not sure whats causing it yet, but will probably have to wait until the new year before I properly do anything more on the mod

Been messing around with the traveller tenant lately, but something about something I've changed is causing a crash on start up, so might end up having to leave them out and move onto some other tenants until I can figure out what's going on.

Working my way through them Convict will be coming soon.

I also like this mod quite abit.
I'm certain many of the modded race makers will allow you to make patches that add their own custom things in.

Some real life stuff has come up so updates might get less frequent a bit around xmas and beyond for some time. But until then I should put something up this weekend or monday.

Adding the modded species could be a bit of a pain, but I can try. Will have to get permission from the mod creators and it would thus require you to have all of those species installed otherwise you might get a crash. By all means I could possibly make patches that might do it, but again its all a big possibility and will take time, so not anytime soon. I definitely want to make most tenants work with every base species. More dialogue comes with each new tenant. Been delving into the dialogue files this week and messing around, so thats a possibility for non-tenant npcs too. (Playing around with a very specific npc atm that should show up in update in a few days.) Right now I want to focus on base species and base tenants, but I might explore modded species and modded tenants in future :)

Can you add in modded species, and more dialogue? There was a mod a while back that tried to become the "More species everywhere, modded included, more dialogue everywhere" mod, in what I assume was an attempt to become a prince of mods. Sadly, it flopped, but I would really like to see such a thing. I'm learning Lua from a foundation in Python so I can help if you need.

No idea what the isn_paint_tool files are? In the file I uploaded was just from extracting everything from the base game and editing it.

From what I can tell, it's hidden-character junk. If you're using notepad++, try turning on "show all characters"; I found a couple of new-line breaks in the middle of sentences. Starbound interprets those as a blank space or just generally does something weird with them.
Also I noticed you have the isn_paint_tool files left in your mod, which might cause some issues; taking those out should at the very least keep things from breaking in the future!

You have any idea what's causing the dialogue weirdness? I've got a couple of theories that I intend to test during the course of the week, will get back to you on whether or not it fixes it.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I should probably do something similar for my own tenant mod, haha;;
Speaking of which if you ever need someone to take a look at that visually-weird dialogue I'd be glad to lend a hand!

Im not an advocate for spacism, but I'm glad it helps... I think.

And Dialogue is the most time consuming part, but it doesn't take too long. Theres 3 lines for each that I add and then whatever the default has I don't change.

Woaah, awesome!! I never thought I'd see a mod like this- it must have taken quite a while to write all of the dialogue!
Thanks for the awesome mod, it's definitely gonna bring some much-needed diversity to colonies :D

As a ginormous space-racist, this is excellent! There were many types of tenant that were simply dead to me because I would never allow their filthy kind in my station. I also really appreciate that you went the extra step in adding appropriate humorous dialogue (not that any joke could ever stop me from immediately jettisoning disgusting human tenants into space) :D:
