Just a thought.

I also thought of degrading buildings etc. Staff degrade and have to retire, why don't out buildings. Maybe after 3-5 years old we get a dilemma stating out L3 factory is so old and needs repairs. You either pay the repair fee if you can afford it, or go down to l2. A way to add some realism to the game and stop it becoming all samey at the top with every team having top HQs and perfect cars.


Just a thought to keep the game revolving and interesting. Its annoying after a while when everyone has all the tech and you're not really competing anymore.

For every team disqualified a new vanilla AI team is created. If F1 have extra space the 2nd team in F2 get to choose F1 or remain ion F2 and so on. If no team chooses F1 then the champion of F3 gets to choose F1, and if they decline we keep going all the way down to the bottom of f3. If no team chooses to take the empty spot the vanilla team takes it. If another team takes the empty spot the vanilla team takes their spot.

1) Teams who financially mismanage and go intp the red beyond a certain level suffer a points penalty each race they finish leaving them in the red. This would see them drop through the table.

2) Limit the " credit limit" to £5m for F3, £10m for F2, and £20m for F1. When you exceed your credit limit all spending id banned except essential spending. (no upgrades, new parts, dilemnas etc).

3) Have a limit beyond that where if the team finishes the season so far in the red they are declared bankrupt and disqualified i.e. for F3 £15m, for F2, £30m, and for F1, £40m.

Is bankrupting a thing here? I read as part of this mod I think but it dosn't seem to happen. Eventually all teams will get to HQs and top buildings and there seems to be nothing that can be done about it. If this mod addresses what I'm about to suggest, great! I just haven't seen it. But how about:

Just starting a career with Octane Racing using this mod. So far it's going great and I'm liking it, but I had an issue initially.
I created a manager with the "New Manager" backstory but that would always crash in the first interview. The game assumed it had only 2 questions in that interview but there were more and after selecting the answer for the 3rd question the game would crash. Then I restarted and chose one of the vanilla backstories and it's working fine now.
Loved to do the practice and get the setups right. A nice new challenge the way it works now. Also liked the amount of crashes and retirements during the race. I did only one race so far but it's looking perfect in that regard.

Still need to play a bit more to use all the different mechanics but so far this looks like a very well executed mod to give us a fresh MM experience.

hi I wanted to ask how to adjust the complexity in this fashion? in the settings it says that 20 is the most complex and that 0 is as difficult as possible

I seem to be having the opposite conflict to what some are saying in this comment section. I'm finding myself finishing way ABOVE where I should be in races. I created my own team and by the 2nd race, I'm already fighting over podium spots and my car can near enough keep pace with a lot of the others despite that most car parts are single digits in terms of performance.

It's a bit disappointing having more points in the first two races than I was expecting over the course of the whole season.

Are there no edits which make the AI faster?

seemed like the fire mod was working with this mod, but starting as van Amersfoort in F3 i was more then 5 seconds per lap slower then all the other teams..
seems like something is conflicting here!

Or, to add onto the questions: I don't seem to be able to play without the mod once files have been added, and that feeds into question 1 and my confusion about what I need and don't need to run the mod.

And additionally, I know seem unable to remove the mod, and am confused as to whether that is intended or not. Might just be me being a clod, and will be amenable to moving correspondence to a less public forum if so wished @TheFlamingRed .

Once again, thoroughly enjoying the mod, just encountering some real 1st world problems that I cannot discern if I'm causing them or not.

A brief question regarding the files on your blog vs the files here on steam: Firstly, what is needed where? I am unsure even after consulting blog and readme files as to if I can get by with just using the steam files or if I need both?


And as another brief question: I have MM on two different computers, and I'm trying to remove the mod on one of them, only even after uninstalling and reinstalling, I still get f.e. the custom background option at the start of a new game. Is it meant to be that you cannot actually remove the mod once installed, or what is going on there?

Otherwise, sterling job, good sir, thorughly enjoying the wackiness of the races, even if I concur that the AI does seem to spiral out of control when I don't edit myself to having 5 billion pounds.

I really want to like this. I loaded mid game, so could try everything out without any finacial concerns, with the fastest car. First couple of races were great, unpredictable, spins, crashes, penalties, awesome fun. Then the AI development just went through the roof. I went from winning/podiums on a clean strategy race, and being in the top 3 fight in qualifying to going out in Q1 with a 90% set up. AI just develops way too quickly, and it may well be a challenge, but the fun is completely gone when you don't seem to be able to progress against the AI. Lots here is fantastic, just AI completely ruins it for me.

I have the feeling the AI is waaay overpowered!.. first race and I was constantly half a lap behind everyone. When you create a new Team, the only options the chairman gives you, are 9th or 8th!? .. seriously?! I start with the shitiest of shitiest car/HQ and I have to finish 9th, with an AI that is ready to fly to the moon?!.. I liked the smileys btw, hopefully you can add an option for that. Not everyone is Mech guru here.. other than that, I like more things in this mod than I dislike, but this AI mentality is a game breaker in Normal difficulty..

At the end of my first season an error message comes up with a "mod activated" warning and the game shuts down. Any ways to bypass this? :(

I know the AI got buffed so they are faster and have a bit more budget but 1st race as Team Kirov, With 90% setups on both drivers and super softs at the end of practice, im down in 14 and 18th with the 3-5 best car in the APS. So i stared over and picked Boa just to see if it was me being garbo or the AI and then im sitting in 5th and 8th with the best car in the APS. AI are kinda overpowered imo but i really do like this mod. Cant wait for the next upcoming updates.

Accidently left the HQs all at level 4 Design / Factory for the new teams. :) I've updated the file so that isn't the case.

Yes it is not clear from the description above. There are two components available at that link that you need to install manually in order for this mod to work.

Did you download the Rebirth Mod in the description? This will not work without it.

Trying to test this add-on out.

Attempting to start a new game with just this Mod gives a message "Unable to Load Workshop Content"

If I attempt to start a game with both this and the New Game+ Mod I get the duplicate database warning. The game will start okay and run but I don't think that it's designed to run both Mods together.

Any thoughts on what is happening with the first issue?
