You didnt need to remove them, just parent the spine bones differently, according to what I suggested.

Now the bones are renamed for both hero and student models. I just got rid of one spine bone and now there's a ik-rig on the description. I hope that's better now..

If you guys need help with this, you are welcome to ask here or shoot me a request and I can show you guys for the future how to solve certain problems.

I'm really sorry about that. I was pretty afraid of changing something on her spine and breaking the entire model, so i just decided to export like this, but i understand your opinion. I'm going to talk about with the creator and the next models are going to be better and i will look forward to fix both Asui models. Again, sorry.

Good model, but reading that you did not even rename the bones to bip just triggered me. >.> Also, you could have take two of the spine bones, separated one another by a main spine bone and just make them helper bones so that they worked with the existing bip IK rig. And if the model already has bones for her face, then you are okay to not add flexes.
