Need this is Warhammer 3
Autumnchain 24. sep. 2022 kl. 21:54
How does this interact with modded races like the ones added by OvN?
CaptainKampfkeks 17. sep. 2022 kl. 16:00
Ignore my first comment, I was an idiot and didn't realize that I had another climate changing mod active.
However, I'd still love to see this glorious mod for WH3. Any word on this?
CaptainKampfkeks 25. aug. 2022 kl. 5:10
To add to my last comment, would it make sense to have Albion be borreal instead of frozen tundra? The terrain doesn't look particularly white to me on the map...
Also, will you bring this phantastic mod over to WH3 now that Immortal Empires is now live? It'd be a shame to miss it.
CaptainKampfkeks 20. aug. 2022 kl. 13:34
I believe that the Star Tower of the Volcanic Islands should be a tropical Island (currently jungle), as is the other settlement of the province. Further, Chupayotl of the Headhunter's Jungle should probably be either jungle coast or tropical island as well, given it has a port (currently jungle). Otherwise, this is such a great and thorough mod, I love it.
The Black Kaiser 9. aug. 2022 kl. 6:43
I'm getting a climate placeholder bug when this is used with "Legions of Nagash." The placeholder says "if you are seeing this effect, then you have added a mod that changes climate suitabilities BESIDES the NEW LORE FRIENDLY CLIMATES MOD, or you have added this mod to an existing game." I've tested this with only this mod, it's requirements, and the climate mod and still receive this message. I think something needs to be updated or a table checked over.

Does this work with sfo and modded factions ?

@TheLivingMeme thank you for replying! I will test it as well on some races and let the results know. The main concern I thought would arise was with when a vanilla climate was split into multiple ones in the mod.
TheLivingMeme 30. sep. 2021 kl. 7:13
Tested with the Citadel of Dusk, also seems to work but to be honest I have no idea what faction they're based on in terms of default habitation rules.
TheLivingMeme 30. sep. 2021 kl. 6:59
Mirzor, just tested it with OVN halfings as I'm most familiar with the empire's base game favored regions, and it seems to work. I'll need to do some further testing, will reply with a second comment.

Does this mod work with other mods that add new races like OvN?
Rjakjedi UK 12. sep. 2021 kl. 15:09
Good Mod, does this effect the win conditions as some lists say occupy Hellpit etc that is impossible with this mod. Also is save game compatible? Vermin wastes are occupied. Is Mordheim climate different as well?
flameshroud 11. sep. 2021 kl. 8:40
You dont need an sfo submod
Leaf 11. sep. 2021 kl. 2:52
SFO submod possbile?
The Black Kaiser 27. aug. 2021 kl. 5:42
Thanks for your wonderful mod! I would like to present my mod compilation that includes your mod for others to enjoy!

I have a submod for this that rebalances the penalties
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2536204452
With it there are no more income and build cost penalties but instead a more growth and public order penalties.
ironmask 9. aug. 2021 kl. 7:43
Tyrion(highelf) only comfortable Ulthuan...It's too harsh.
CaptainKampfkeks 6. aug. 2021 kl. 22:06
I really love this idea. Just started up a new campaign. I just wonder if there is a list with the changes somewhere, as in which faction now likes which terrains? Because as I just started a Gelt campaign, and the mountains were no longer perfectly habitable. Why's that?
Mabrima 16. juli 2021 kl. 9:51
Personally I think everything normal suitable is cool. And then maybe vermin wastes and the like (the super inhospitable things) be "slightly" not suitable.
flameshroud 15. juli 2021 kl. 19:09
he spent several years in the chaos wastes, anything is suitable after that
Brosh  [ophavsmand] 15. juli 2021 kl. 17:46
I am thinking, I am ok with the all suitable nature of oxyotl. any thoughts?
Brosh  [ophavsmand] 15. juli 2021 kl. 17:45
just a heads up, thorik are still going to have a hard time in this mod. right now I am thinking normal dwarf suitabilities in ME and yellowish jungles in Vortex. A lot like the other out of place races in Lustria
flameshroud 15. juli 2021 kl. 17:28
dwarfs absolutely HATE swamps and foremostly TREES. to quote gothrek, 'the only thing i hate more than elves are trees'. the main problem is, dwarfs are just not interested in any other region than the world edge mountains (exept karak zorn and karak dum) that they even are around athel loren is only because they were driven from their homes. the only reasons they would want to be around lustria, naggarond or ulthuan is because of vengance or evidence of large amounts of gromril ore. so it is absolutely not loreful to make them enjoy jungles. this mod aims to be as loreful as possible. you should see dwarfs in the eastern continent as a revenge operation. i hope i didnt offend you but dwarfs in the vortex campain are a weird implementation from the developers themselves (i know, dwarfs needed an update)
Brosh  [ophavsmand] 15. juli 2021 kl. 12:42
@MadJukes, wait for update. Dwarfs were not playable on vortex before
MadJukes 15. juli 2021 kl. 12:34
I really wanted to keep using this and it still works but sadly it's not balanced for the lords. The dwarfen vortex campaign becomes insanely hard with this and pretty much impossible on higher difficulties. It makes sense that the Jungles are really bad for dwarfs but sadly with this starting position there is nothing except jungle and desert around you.
flameshroud 3. juli 2021 kl. 15:47
so i got a question about the norsca region. are they supposed to be full blown chaos wastes? i thought those tribes lived in snowy wastelands and went to the chaos wastes for rituals, provving themselves to the gods... what do you guys think? for the rest i REALLY love this mod and the work you put into it!
Samuël 5. juni 2021 kl. 8:49
Could you make it so that Dark elves are suitable in temperate and borderlands and unsuitable in Naggarythe? I'm playing as Lokhir Fellheart and the climate makes no sense for him.
SpookyVoodoo 15. maj 2021 kl. 11:04
@Brosheezi, I was wondering about what happened to the add-on mod to this which made unique icons for each climate? I know it hasn't been available for a long while now, but it definitely made it easier to identify the various climates quickly. Is that something that could get added to this mod, or does it still exist out there in some form?

Thank you for all your hard work! This is absolutely one of my must-have mods for this game!
137438 15. maj 2021 kl. 9:42
by the way, Nagash wasteland are still west of Naggaroth wasteland
137438 15. maj 2021 kl. 8:50
sfo change the climate effect,
Brosh  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2021 kl. 9:22
@Leaf, It was at one point. I have not heard from anyone that that has changed. If it turns out to no longer be the case, this mod can be removed without breaking the game.
Leaf 4. maj 2021 kl. 2:51
@B.C. "Luden" Ludenberg i did and im still confused? you asked about mods that generally adds a custom faction and/or sub culture.which IMO can easily have problems with this mod because they are a custom faction (OvN,TEB, Mixu Mousillon). as far as i know SFO doesnt do that the only thing im concerned is if SFO made their own climate changes. im sorry if i missed something in brosheez answer
B.C. "Luden" Ludenberg 3. maj 2021 kl. 12:10
@Leaf, look at my comment which is 5 comments below, and Mr's Brosheezi's anwser to it.
Leaf 3. maj 2021 kl. 3:11
is this SFO compatible?
Brosh  [ophavsmand] 2. maj 2021 kl. 11:01
@Cheese is King, in this mod Tyrion and the other Ulthuan, based factions have more restricted suitability. Teclis and other colonial elves have separate suitability
Cheese is King 2. maj 2021 kl. 5:43
Are all coastal climates supposed to be orange for tyrion? been a while since i played him. seems kinda odd for a race that has colonies literally everywhere:P I get the other climates, but coastal seems to be made right for helfs imo.
DudeChris33 25. apr. 2021 kl. 19:42
But these are Naggarothi mountains... You literally made a new climate just for them only to make it the same as normal mountains?
Brosh  [ophavsmand] 25. apr. 2021 kl. 19:29
@Kurisu & others, Naggarond has mountains yellow in vanilla

@Rio, Kislev is not Russia

@Verse, Ulthuan is for the Elves
Brosh  [ophavsmand] 25. apr. 2021 kl. 19:22
@B.C. "Luden" Ludenberg et al,

TEB and Mixu should still be fine. OvN is a no for some factions. They will still work fine but the climate system will have no effect. mods adding factions with existing subcultures generally work fine. OvN adds new subcultures.
B.C. "Luden" Ludenberg 25. apr. 2021 kl. 12:19
Same question as @Knochenjoe, does this mod work with mods such as OvN, TEB or Mixu's Mousilon/LL?
DudeChris33 25. apr. 2021 kl. 9:56
Please make Naggarond Mountains suitable for Naggarond. Even Malus has them as green!
LogicRecursion 24. apr. 2021 kl. 0:15
Malekith even can't make his capital province all green, its too unfair. He should be suitable for all Naggarond Mountains. PLS.:lunar2019deadpanpig:
Blackhe4rt 20. apr. 2021 kl. 22:06
Any one an idea how this meshes with OvN?
DudeChris33 20. apr. 2021 kl. 15:55
Can you make Naggarond Mountains suitable for Naggarond?
Verse 8. apr. 2021 kl. 15:39
Grom needs Ulthuan climate. The dreadfleet, the drowned, and Sartosa(Vortex) needs it as well.
