In the real world, the Transrapid reaches it's cruising speed of 430km/h just shy after 6000m. Even if flying at zero altitude above the guideway with 500km/h Transrapid needs only about 5400m come to a full stop. Compared to the TGV, Shinkansen or the ICE, the Transrapid uses 40% less energy and has 70% less operating costs, since the train has no moving parts. This way the train consumes even less energy.

Fun Fact:
The Transrapid has no motor on board. And so the driver actually controls, the Track that pusshes the train forward. Only the Track segement where the Transrapid is flying at zero altitude is set to active.

Fantastic assets, I really slept on monorail stuff for a long time. Working on a city more suited to these than metro at the moment!

Any chance of one-way versions of this + the station tracks? That'd make these flawless for modular station building

you can use road anarchy instead, collision must be there so network wont disappear when zoomed in from ground level

I love this asset very much...one thing that would make it better though, is if streets could go under it when the track is at station elevation. it would be great if you could update it to do so. I will still be using this even if you dont update it. Thank you for this asset.

I do not know how to remove the old monorail trains so that only the DB maglev train runs on this maglev track? Any ideas?

现实中的磁悬浮是5节编组,游戏里只有4节,但这不是问题,4节编组已经很长了,但是没有双向车头有点沮丧,能否更新为双向车头的4节编组磁悬浮?谢谢哈

Asset makers can use it to modify their maglev stations or create anew by using it.

Not yet. It is way more complicated that I thought but I will try to provide a direct solution or a workaround. Until then, you can drag separate 10units long tracks then move them over the station tracks with Move It.

A monorail train at 500km/h emit a huge sound pollution, due to air resistance. If you are in open country at 4:00, nobody and no veichle around, and you listen to distant cars approaching, you will notice that only the aerodynamics are involved in sound production at high speed, and this is true at 100 km/h, at 500 it is quadratically more (25 times more). Anyway, beautiful asset, I bought mass transit just to try it!

@TheBlack2007, It's based on monorail tracks, and monorail tracks doesnt feature tunnel network in game, so i can't make it into a tunnel. Second, 30m is the pillar height, not the maximum height of the network. Anything more than 30m, it's more logical to turn into a bridge.

But Brilliant Mod and idea apart from that. Also a fine way to use the Transrapid Assets properly as it always seemed to be a little "Overkill" on the Vanilla Monorail Tracks.

Are you planning on adding the possibility of building Tunnels? I usually prefer building Tunnels under large Waterways rather than using Bridges to cross them. I also consider 30m a little short for building immersive bridges over waterways.

I happen to live by the Kiel Canal in Germany - which is able to provide ocean going Vessels a shortcut from the North Sea into the Baltic sea - and any road or railway crossing that canal is at least 40m high to provide enough space for large ships to pass underneath

@Delta, Yeah we tried that, it's gonna be same as tram station stop track. I don't know how to make it possible with modtools so it's up to someone else at this point. Also it's necessary to REMODEL all stations in the game since MAGLEVs are wider, so i wouldnt hold my breath, except Emperor Li makes it happen.
