Hi there. I'm looking to extract these armors into blender. I know how to do it I just don't know where, in the game files, the armors are. Could you point me in the right direction?

In case anyone needs the direct information not listed here, Hoxtilicious's update works a charm, thanks heaps!
As for the goods, this mod adds the 'Origin Armor' displayed on the player during char creation.
It adds chests for each character next to the 'Fort Joy - Beach' teleport location/statue that you arrive at after the boat crashes at the end of the tutorial.
Perfect mod, 10/10, exactly what I wanted!

I would also like to know if there are any plans to update this mod to DE when the new editor is released. The armor sets are wonderful, it would be a shame to not be able to use them :(

@Ninnetyer Nope. Run them both in my games with zero issues. (Unless Elvasat recently added recipes for these armors (and even then, the worst that would happen is that some recipes for the armors would be overridden)

Woo, I'm back!

@Sana The items *should* be easy enough to find in the world and then you can always increase the quantity with Cheat Engine.

@Reffy Yeah, the armors are "Unique" items so their stats are pretty hardcoded (except level scaling). What each character's armor class is was simply a decision that had to be made in order for these armors to be viable at all, otherwise they wouldn't scale. It is very easy to override the stats with your own mod that you could then load after mine, so the items would still be accessible and craftable.

@Wolfgang I tried to do that when I first made the mod but couldn't figure it out at all. Now that there are more resources, doing that and getting a proper item icon are my top priorities.

@Warvane1 When you enter the next act, it should load the armors and crafting supplies in the chest. And thanks for pointing out the discrepancies, I'll take a look into it.

EDIT: Sorry it seems I just misunderstood the mod description and what I needed. It added the recipe for making these armors. Also it seems some of the scraps in the description are actually called different things in game like "Wood Scraps" actually being "Wood Chips" etc.

One Suggestion: Can you get unique names for each origin set? Like: Performer for Lohse? and likewise for the other origin characters?

This only works if that origin character uses particular stats. I have Sebille in my party, but made her into a strength/two-handed character. Now she can't equip her own origin armor, because it requires finesse.

Also, the armor stats are crap. Even when they are my level.

I found this mod a tad bit too late so and I am not finishing Fort Joy anytime soon (taking my sweet sweet time). Could you please share how to craft Lohse's origin armor for Act 1 since your mod does not spawn after already loading an entire area?

@blub01 Right now that's a bit outside of the scope of what I'm aiming to do mainly because it would interfere with making the other armors in the game craftable. However, if you're interested, you can easily mod those aspects of the armor without interfering with this mod. Let me know if you would like help on that.

@LoneStarRhino34 Aw shucks. And yeah, I was pretty bummed by the elven armors and am really looking forward to a better looking elven armor mod.

@ago339 If you load the mod after you've entered the area, the chests will be empty. Its sadly how the game is coded. When you enter the next area, that area's chests will be full.

@connorkiernan: man I would probably cry if you made that happen. I love this game, but honestly some of the armor varieties are not that great xD anything you can do to help is so immensely appreciated! The potential for armors you enjoy to be able to be crafted at various points in the game and have it be practical because it's scaled to your level is so awesome!

@Romewasn'tbuiltinapatch I like your username. Ifan uses hides and Fane uses woor scraps (it doen't make sense but it was the only other item under LOOT_Scraps)

@LoneStarRhino34 Yup! Each chest has enough to craft 10 levels of the armor. And any character can wear the but the model and coloration will change a bit (ex. The Red Prince's armor on Ifan looks like Wayfarer armor with gold and green coloring).

With regards to adding more armors, I'm working on a mod to add the high level armors to chests throughout and I can easily do the same with the earier armors probably by next week. I'm starting to run out of easy to access crafting materials but I'll see what I can do.

Also, would you consider adding something like this for the Fort Joy enchanter armor? In my opinion, some of the neatest looking armor is at the beginning of the game. And then you can't ever get it again. Brilliant work, thank you for saving those of us with fewer skills, ha!

@Nezz Right now I'm working on a separate mod that adds the higher level class armors (the ones seen in character creation). Were you thinking along those lines or something like Magister armors?

Great mod, does a lot to help alleivate the rather limited number of player armor models that the game suffers from. I would love to see this mod expanded to include some other NPC armors if the idea ever struck your fancy.

Does the items stats scale to whatever level you are when crafting the item? For example being lvl 6 and crafting Fane's armor gives you lvl 6 stats on it?

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. As far as I know, that wouldn't be terribly doable as an in-game feature. Its easy enough to swap around models using the editor, but that also changes all instances of that armor.

By transmog I would bet @Lorenzzi means he would like the ability to change the model of any armor in the game to the origin armor. Thus keeping the stats of the original item.

I believe transmog is the word used for this mechanic in Warcraft.

Turns out crafting is super easy to implement. I should have it done and the contents on the chests updated within a few hours.

I'm not terribly familiar with the crafting systems (heck, I'm not even halfway through the game) but I'll take a look at that. The actual implementation should be easy enough though.

hi is it not possible to merge your idea with the hand-made crafting recipes for armours within the game
not sure of the exact fit origin model to crafting recipe model but guess its possible????
would also solve the levelling issue as each level you craft a new one
