I love your mod, but would it be possible to get a light colored background/highlight behind the darker icons? The Christianity cross blends in with the background and is really hard to see without zooming all the way in. Thank you!

This mod won't show up on the mod list. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times now, and it's the only mod that's doing this.

What do you mean by Orthodox vs Russian Orthodox cross? I am Russian Orthodox so I really don't know the difference, if there is one.

the fact is as usual in lot of games there is a confusion between the orthodox cross and the russian orthodox cross, i dont Know why.
So your catholic icon looks like the original orthodox, and the orthodox one is the russian, not your fault as i said.

If you are still interested in the answer (and haven't found out already), no, sorry but you are stuck with the symbols as I had colored them. Unless of course you went into the DDS textures and painstakingly recolored everything to your own liking, but then, you know, you might as well publish your own mod... Hope that isn't a disappointment.

Is there A way to customize the color of the symbol?

Started poking around a bit at Calypso's Colored Religious Icons (BNW Extended), for Brave New World in July (obviously). Based on the listing of new civilizations it'll be pretty short (just 2 religions to add and color), but worth making for those few who've enjoyed CCRI (Extended).

Only way I've figured out how to limit crashes lately has been to set my computer's power plan to "High Performance" while playing. Sounds obvious I know, but I've been able to play for several hours on end without interuption for several instances now (before exiting voluntarily). Again, obvious, but the result has been noticable for me at least.

I had consistent CTD's with this mod installed. I initially played with this mod and the R.E.D mod installed, but it was crashing at least 3 times per hour. I unsub'd from R.E.D. and had only this mod installed, and it still crashed with the same frequency. I also started several new games with just this mod installed and same problem. I have never used any other mods than R.E.D and some flag mods. But like I said, even with no other mods activated, or even subscribed to, I still got the 3-4 CTD's per hour with this mod. It's a shame because after R.E.D, it's my favorite mod on here. Hope this helps.

Art for Calypso's Colored Religious Icons (Extended) seems to be just about finished. Shouldn't be too long until 10 new colored religions are introduced in a separate mod.

Should really help out those civs who lack their historically accurate religions in vanilla G&K.

You know, I have thought about coloring Tomatekh's icons, but I haven't sought out that collaboration yet. When I have the time, it's one possible direction that I might want to take this sort of mod in.

I use Tomatekh's Historical & Chstian Schisms mod, which is a combination of his Histroical one and Ryugu's Christian Schisms. Would you consider coloring Tomatekh's ones because they are all a part of the same one now, thanks :)

This mod crashes my games frequently, is there anything that can be done for that? Or anything I can provide (crash reports, ect) to help you fix it? The colored icons are great but it sucks having to reply the same turns over.

expand it with more religions if you have time.And do things like split Christianity into orthodox and Catholic etc...

Thanks for mentioning that to me, since it saves me from having to separate those religions out myself in some addendum mods I've been testing out. I've also gone and updated this mod to reference the other, making sure it loads first; I couldn't get the right icons until that happened.

You should know that your mod works with the Historical Religions Schisms mod, (the colored versions for Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Protestantism are seen)

70 to 80 is much better than I was expecting. Now I've heard of crashes every 2 turns, 10 turns, ~70 turns, ~100 turns, or no crashes at all. Really glad to hear that the mod makes a great enough difference to make it worth while.

No problem. i'll keep using it. it makes such a difference that saving a game every few turns is no major disaster.....sometimes it doesn't crash for 70 or 80 turns!

Sorry about the crashes. I'd heard soon after publishing that this might be an issue, but the problem went away for the individual who had it. I've wondered why this would happen, since the mod is almost entirely art, but maybe it has something to do with the large file size.

Since I don't get the crash, it's hard to analyze, but if there's any more information you would like to share, I'd really like to hear it.

Excellent idea. Why it was never used in the main game by the devs I have no idea. Not sure if its this MOD (only one I'm running) but my game crashes occasionally when its running........

Nice, small but does the job, I love it !

A small and simple change but one that still adds just enough to make it worthwhile. It helps that they're colored appropriately for the religion, and even then looks to be done well. Good mod! :D
