My apologies, dear sir, but I wonder; will this rather small but brilliant reskin mod find its way to Warhammer 3? I much prefer the Executioner with classic helmet.

which is why I made my own version of dryrain's to stop it from overriding specific units reskins that I did or others did.

Wait I guess you can just ignore these posts, Armored He Archers without mod are also bugged for me. Have no idea why this unit in particular is bugged as I've updated my graphical drivers. Will probably find somewhere else to bring up this issue and see if anyone else is experiencing this.

@Cataph It doesn't seem to happen for spearmen and I haven't tried gate guard yet because of their availability. I tried messing with graphical settings and I guess the the black stuff was the shadow somehow being casted onto the model itself in the porthole. I have no idea how this would even happen as it wasn't like this before the Resurgence Update.

Not sure why but the armored HE Archers porthole model appears bugged for me as their armor appears blackish instead of having a metallic shine. Even weirder cause this only effects the model in the porthole and not the field models themselves.

k, I thought something was fucky. When I was a kid the only not 40k models I bought was a box of dark elf excutioners because I wanted to try out painting something metal, and because they looked badass...and then they look like shit now? Thanks for making this lol

Hey there! So I love your mods and run all of them for my games. I was wondering though, would you be willing to make a Regiment of Renown for the Dark Elves? I am a sucker for my executioners and thanks to Mixu I can even play as Tullaris. But I was wondering if you could make the Ossian Guard Executioners? The ones that were fiercely loyal to Tullaris and were his personal company.

I'm glad someone made this. I wasn't too pleased when I saw the Executioner's had received a makeover when their new models were released years ago. I much prefered the chainmail masks and tall helms of the old metal ones. But over time the golden skull masks grew on me and I enjoy them pretty well now. I accept them alongside the old look. Both are nice and fitting.

Still, I'm glad to see an option should I want my Executioners to look a little more old school. Good job.

You sexy beast you! I love this mod a lot! I was wondering if you would be willing to do the same thing for Radious' new unit for the dark elves. Fellblades (Greatswords). They are the next tier for the Executioners with his mod but I greatly dislike the design choice. I was wondering if you could do this mod for that unit but maybe give them red armor to symbolize their elite level or hell just do this exact skin again for them. I just really really hate the design they went with but I also do not want to deprive myself out of the best greatsword infantry for the dark elves just because i am picky while watching my battles.

Some models may be picky. There's various degrees to their ability to ignore Alpha.

I used a vanilla texture for testing, added an alpha channel to the diffuse file and masked the elements I wanted to remove. I uploaded only the diffuse file as replacer. I tested DXT3 and DXT5 and checked generate mipmaps.

It's very case sensitive, but did you set it to create new mipmaps on saving? Or if you have already edited the texture path on the model hex, did you change it on all occurrences?

Hey may I ask another question? I added an alpha channel to another texture but it only works at a very very short range (not imposter range)

I know, but considering the front of the helmet is actually made of two models, it'd be a nightmare. The alternative is adding a THIRD model to the mix, but that would probably start denting performance.

A slight suggestion to the great Cataph, is it possible to color that small crest(?) thing on the front of the helmet to a different color than the present black color, like gold? it seems there is too much black on the helmet and I have no experience to attempt this. Just a thought.
