have you tried maybe setting the requirements to base stats so all classes can use them?

Finally got my desktop up and running again so I can give this a try, but no luck fixing the bug so far. Sorry.

I actually made a mod for myself that removed the armor requirment, but I have no idea how to upload it to the workshop.

Nice, hate that I have to give my wisard strenght or fighter finness just to balance out armor/magic shields

It likely has to do with the fact that weapons are no longer tied to stats and that skills pull from those stats. So it seems that the only solution would be to re-enable stat requirements on weapons. I'll see if another option is possible but I'm not hopeful.

This causes skills not to scale with the damage ability.
