i will warn you it does change items to be individually buildable as well and i'm fairly certain you can't disable that functionality

I would also recommend you move over to prototype armory, which has this built in. with a mod menu setting. Which respects both Tesla's mod and Chosen Reward Variety

Setting that setting to true, works for "TeslaRage's loot mod" but not for the chosen weapons mod.

@ProfBadger there is a setting called "DontRemoveUpgradesFromNamedWeapons=false" in the XcomGame.ini file. Testing it by swapping it to true, and seeing if that works with TeslaRage's loot mod and Chosen reward Variety, too see if you can stop this behaviour with that setting.

@Marcus Have you researched the Adaptive Personal Combat Sims or Interchangeable Upgrades breakthrough technologies? This game mod doesn't do anything without those, it just improves quality of life after you do have them.

WotC is effectively a separate game from XCOM 2, only using the cutscene videos from the base game. You need to be playing WotC

I actually do wonder, do I need the DLC, or do I have to play the DLC in order to make the mod work?

Because when starting the game, it ask "XCOM 2" and "XCOM 2 WOTC".

While using this mod and TeslaRage's Loot Mod the remove upgrades button takes the upgrades from unique TeslaRage Weapons despite them being locked to the weapon by default. This isn't really a bug, it's an expected effect, but is there a possible code workaround or is this just an unfortunate confluence that means I shouldn't use that button? I also have 'Interchangeable Weapons/PCS by default' if that affects anything.

How to remove PCS?
Weapon upgrade remove is working fine.
But I don't see the [Remove] button in PCS.

Mod works while using ATL, must be an issue with 2k launcher. I would recommend anyone struggling to make the mod work to look at the link for XCOM mod troubleshooting and start using ATL (alternate launcher).

Mod doesn't seem to work for me (yes I have the breakthrough researched) but I'm thinking that it's because Steam now boots game through 2K launcher, I will try and install alt. mod launcher.

@Lommelun Have you researched the Interchangeable Upgrades breakthrough yet? That's required to keep the old weapon upgrade when you slot in the new one. This game mod doesn't do anything until you have that technology and/or its equivalent for PCSes.

What this game mod does do is make it so that you don't need a small hoard of backup weapon mods / PCSes in your inventory in order to swap your good ones around.

For example, say your best soldier is very injured and you want to move their +Aim PCS to another solder. In vanilla you need to swap a different PCS onto your wounded soldier in order to get the good one off of them. You need to maintain at least one unassigned PCS in your inventory so that you can do these swaps.

With this game mod, once you research the appropriate technologies then there's now a button to simply remove the assigned weapon mod / PCS so that you can give it to someone else. All of the low-value weapon mods and PCSes can be sold to the black market.

@Hot Wet Nobel Laureates You may be using Configure Upgrade Slots . It allows you to add Chosen weapon slots, and even remove or replace the original upgrade.

Hey buddy, modder here, is it possible for you to update the mod to trigger an "UpgradeRemoved" event? Im working on an upgrade attachments mod and would benefit greatly from having that that event fired every time an upgrade is removed.

I discovered technology to change improvements. Even put this mod on [WOTC] Guaranteed Interchangeable Upgrades / PCS Addon. Modules are replaced with other modules without disappearing, but I cannot simply remove the improvement. I am using RPGO, maybe it has something to do with it?

I do not have a cross (X) to remove the upgrade, I can only remove it by replacing it with another one. Any ideas?

How does one make a certain weapon upgrade work with a weapon that wont let you equip it? For example: Sangheili plasma sword to equip grimy melee attachments?
