yes you can change SOME of the secondwave options mid game.
simply press esc, go to change your difficulty, and the "Toggle Advanced Options View" will be there.

Well thanks to the removal of the launcher I can no longer get to the mods or start them in the new game start up. PLUS the DLCs seem to be not there properly as well...

No idea if you're still around but this mod is missing a chunk of optional code from the TLE update that was put into the UIShellDifficulty class. It shouldn't affect anything other than a few extra music options (from what I can see), but thought I should mention it

the only thing i could find on regenerating the file also didnt work, there doesnt seem to be anything actually wrong but it still doesnt work :/

i have an issue with lwotc where no extra second wave options appear (in my case im trying to deactivate not all created equally) and followed all of your recommended steps such as using the alternate launcher and only using depended mods and still have none of the options show?

Clue discovered, problem fixed. Game seems to have been corrupting its .ini files. Regenerating them does the trick. That's what you can Good Programming:tm:.

Checking using the native Linux port, it works sometimes, but now and again it just... randomly stops working. No clue why.

X-Post from LWOTC, but I can confirm I'm having issues with the AML and (I think?) this mod. I've got nothing loaded except LWOTC and its deps, and I'm not seeing any additional second wave options. Note that I'm running AML and XCOM2 through Proton on Linux, but this shouldn't affect the game in this manner.

Yeah i tried it with Alternative Mod Launcher and the Mod is still not working for me, its not even showing the Absolutely Critical option when im starting a new game, so its def not working for me.

What could be the problem? Every other mod im using is fine and if i disable them, this mod is still not working somehow.

don't use the 2K launcher, a lot of stuff that requires override just straight up not work on it, use alternate mod launcher instead you can search for it in the community guide section

Yeah sorry im fairly new to Xcom 2 modding, but Time Turner is one of the main Advanced Options when you start a campaign, i even see it in my XComGame.ini afer subscribing to the mod here.

CanChangeInCampaign=true

But i cant see any of the options for this mod in the difficulty setting on my save and Absolutely Critital does not show if i start a new campaign.

So i read this mod is suppose to give us these options, i just dont know what might be wrong or how to fix it, how to make the mod work? I dont understand what i have to do or what im missing.
I need further help and instructions sadly. :sectoid:

if any SW did not require this mod they would be incompatible with any other SW anyways and this will not support it properly unless you add the config to this mod, you need to figure out the name of the SW option that mod added and folow the example in the config file to add the SW entry with the option to turn off mid campaign enabled. However if any SW touched things that is set up when you start a campaign they will not be undone automatically.

I grabbed this mod to remove SW option Time Turner in my current campaign but i cant figure out how to make it work.

I see no options for it in the difficulty settings in game, any help would be appriciated, would love to remove Time Turner option in my current run. :sectoid:

The support has to be determined by the mod author of said second wave option, because some second wave initialises stuff at the beginning of the campaign, enabling it mid campaign might not work/break stuffs.

is there a way to enabler the origins options midcampaign, i am trying to build a specific character, but i keep relying on randomization to get the force sensitive, or n7 training perks or abilites whatever you call them, essentially the random starting things that can allow you access to specific classes. pls help :SG0_Angry:

This one was entirely my fault. I had previously downloaded the MOD a while back & renamed it 'Better 2nd Wave MOD Support' instead of its actual name above. I was searching the AML via the actual MOD's name & not my naming scheme. Once I started using the Workshop ID instead, which never changes, then I found it. Also lesson learned for me.

Holy crap, I found another one that won't detect. For this one, it did download the MOD folder onto my HDD but the AML will not detect it. I guess I'll try to reboot for this too.

For my previous comment, make sure that you activated Origins at game start, or it won't work properly.

If you can't get the second wave option Origins to work properly, go to your armory, and with a single soldier selected, use the console command "RebuildSelectedSoldiersClass UniversalSoldier" to set their class. This will allow you to promote, or re-promote, them. Not the best option, but it is a valid work around.

This might be a the wrong place to ask this question, but when I use the console to reset soldiers' classes (either RebuildSelectedSoldierClass or RPGO_RebuildSelectedSoldierClass) the perk order is no longer random, even though I have Training Roulette turned on. Is this a known issue?

Orignis is not working properly for me. Sometimes it lets me choose, but most of the times I just get random classes and perks. I've tried restarting multiple times with different SWO, but so far no luck.

Have tried a a full "cleanse" of mod ini files, deleting Xcom game folder, you name it.
Have tried just using Origins alone and nothing as well.

I reckon some other users are having the same issue.
