TexasWestern Oct 10, 2022 @ 7:14pm
Thanks, works fine
kensw Sep 12, 2022 @ 8:51am
Tried in combination with several of my favorite mods - the buildings never show up.
Tried with just this mod and no others - worked buildings show up fine.
Unfortunately being unable to use with other mods makes this not very useful :steamsad:.

I like this mod but it won't let me save my playthrough.

I don't think Brave New World was out when I made this, so it shouldn't be required. I haven't played in years though, so can't say for sure.
ThiccBird Sep 7, 2019 @ 8:51pm
does this work with brave new world only?
djwolf Dec 31, 2018 @ 3:49pm
This doesn't appear to be working. In what age and in what tech advancement are these buildings supposed to show up? I've examined my tech tree and they just aren't there.
COMBAT WOMBAT Dec 19, 2018 @ 11:36pm
does this work with multiplayer?
Cringe Isekai Enjoyer Dec 10, 2017 @ 11:17pm
Nice mod! I am going to tweak it a little on game folder so it keeps balanced with another mod that takes away unit special resource cost, adds building special resource cost and make units only be buildable with those especific buildings at city.
Blackjack_Zach May 15, 2017 @ 10:49pm
Does anyone know how to Mod the non G & K buildings to give resources? I wanted to try to have the colossuem produce two horses as a trial. For some reason I can't add a new row to the Building_ResourceQuantity. I modded the shrine to give 2 horses. So I'm assuming only new buildings or only G & K buildings work.
Aboltus Aug 29, 2016 @ 12:33am
If someone dislikes the quantity proportions of this mod you can easily change the values via text editor.

Good to use together:

Great Mod!
Lefondesin Jan 2, 2016 @ 2:21pm
Hi! I really love the mod and made a Polish translation. I would love if you added it in. Also, if you decide to do it, could you give credit to me on Steam Workshop? I would be totallygrateful :)
Here's the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ufk1k0q3hkus6b8/Civ5GameText%20PL_version.xml?dl=0
I didn't do all Civilopedia entries (because I'm not sure if you include it, but I will get with it soon)

thanks!

@ iJeng: This mod gives you permanent access to strategic resources. The same as if you'd built a pasture on horses, dug a mine on coal, or similar.

If you're looking to get other, additional resource output from the buildings, such as production or culture, click the link for the optional addition to this mod, SRB Plus, in the description above.

does it allows me to get resource per turn?
76561198074202777 Aug 13, 2014 @ 8:43pm
im begining to think any mod that enhances resources will not work; and from what i've seen even if a pre-existing mod for resources worked it will no longer worked appears the programmers have nerfed the means to enhance resources via mods -- this is just my experience and observation per reading comments on resource enhancement mods and attmepting unsuccessfully at subscribing and getting resource mods to work
Doug May 25, 2014 @ 9:22am
I have verified that this mod conflicts with the "beyond the future" mod. This is a shame, I love this mod.
bfmill Feb 24, 2014 @ 12:40pm
Im pretty sure this mod is disabled with the mod "beyond the future". such a shame to.
Coban-Nobac Feb 8, 2014 @ 9:27pm
hey if you are russia will you get the double resource bonus?
BY AZURA BY AZURA BY AZURA Jan 12, 2014 @ 11:03am
this mod does not work if you have the "beyond the future" mod activated:(
The_Catman Oct 16, 2013 @ 3:46am
@ekalb, That's just something with the Vanilla AI. You can be in the Future Era with Giant Death Robots and Tanks and they'll advise you to make cavalry...
Eboy Aug 21, 2013 @ 11:48am
Can you provide an alternative link?
Ryen Keyderg Aug 20, 2013 @ 6:54pm
ok so we can consider this a BNW mod too?
nilpotent nix Aug 13, 2013 @ 11:19am
I can't thank you enough...
Roknor Aug 9, 2013 @ 4:46am
Works fine with BNW
capperz412 Jul 30, 2013 @ 9:58am
Does this work with BNW?
AJarOfDirt Jul 8, 2013 @ 9:42pm
The suggestions for things to build are always these now it seems like. Even if I have no need of it. I could be in the information era and already have over 20 horses and it will still want me to build a corral. I guess I just have to ignore the suggestions now. oh well
Mega Ultra Chicken Jun 30, 2013 @ 10:00pm
Good, I like the idea. But perhaps 5 Enrichment Facilities is a tad too many? Just a thought.
jiefyang Jun 29, 2013 @ 5:26pm
no man.. i've got other mods working as long as i find the mod files from civfanatic and move it into place.
can't "download" your mod cos donno how to from steam workshop.... thats why i ask if u can sent me the mod files via email or post in somewhere i can download instead of subscribe...
Will-O-Maker07 Jun 26, 2013 @ 5:00am
Is there anyway you could update this and make it compatible with some mods that add resources like framedarchitecture's resource expanded mod? He has a unique and cool mod that adds timber which becomes a must to make Trebuchets and Galleys.
lallportcohoon Jun 24, 2013 @ 1:49pm
jiefyang (or any fellow Mac newbie), I hope you see this:

google "civfanatics forum install steam mods mac" and you should find a step by step instructional. basically, whenever you download a mod it becomes a compressed file found deep in the [Application Support > Steam] folder. you'll need to find it, unzip it, and put it into the Civ 5 Package Contents.

if what I said is confusing, do not worry: the step by step explains it very clearly and you should have no problems. what's more, once you do it the first time it is easy, and applies to literally any subscription on this website. good luck!
jiefyang Jun 23, 2013 @ 7:49pm
noobie here... playing mod on mac.. can u please sent me the mod files so i can manually install please?
Don Parmesan Jun 9, 2013 @ 9:36am
man im playing on a large island map with the russian federation mod, german empire mod, and elder scrolls civs mod and there are only 2 known sources of live iron and i own the second, shit this mod will help by a landslide.
Nuker1110 May 16, 2013 @ 4:15pm
Yeah, when playing on Earth, and EVERY LAST DEPOSIT of uranium is located in Russian Austrailia, Nukes are a PITA.
Kel  [author] May 12, 2013 @ 11:24pm
There is a way to do it in vanilla, but my mod can't do it yet. I worked on a vanilla version for much longer than it took me to make the G&K version, but was unable to get it functioning correctly. I'll probably tinker with it again at some point, but not soon.
Nuker1110 May 12, 2013 @ 5:51pm
Is there a way to do this with Vanilla?
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug Apr 27, 2013 @ 4:25pm
Thank you. Although I am gonna make a YouTube series on a Superplanet size map (>16x bigger than huge)
I will include you mod in the credits if I can either;
a) Make it 1 per x cities or
b) You do so

Likely I will if you dont.
Kel  [author] Apr 27, 2013 @ 2:45pm
There may be a way to allow 1 building per x cities, but I don't know how to do that currently. The building limit is largely in place to avoid having the AI build too many of them. The mod was made, largely to help small empires remain competative. I like doing fast, one-city challenge games. :) I assumed that with 6+ cities, the player would likely get some of the resources through normal means.

However, if you would like to change or remove the building limit, you might be able to do so by going to Documents\my games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Strategic Resource Buildings (v 4). Open the file called Civ5BuildingClasses.xml in notepad. Change the lines that say <MaxPlayerInstances>3</MaxPlayerInstances>, to your number of choice, or delete the line to remove the limit. The description in game will still reference a limit, but this should let you build as many as you want. I haven't tested this personally, but I don't see a reason for it to not work.
Starfoth The Burgundy Silk Rug Apr 27, 2013 @ 12:50pm
I'm actually going to eventually try and make a supreme and superplanet sized worlds eventually. The very tiny limit on the various buildings is a concern. How about 1 per x cities?
WarriorServent Apr 11, 2013 @ 5:17pm
can you please make a version of this for normal Civ5? I am one of the people who doesn't want to spend the money to get just a few extra units
shanecrees Apr 11, 2013 @ 5:00am
K, thanks for reply... I installed like 12 mods simultaneously so I'd be surprised if something didn't rub up against something else and stick out awkwardly, somewhere. Peace.
Kel  [author] Apr 11, 2013 @ 2:17am
@shanecrees I'm unable to replicate the problem. I just tested with a fresh install, using only this mod. Maybe try reinstalling the mod? Not sure what would be causing that problem.
shanecrees Apr 10, 2013 @ 3:44am
I have the corral listed but it's labelled in my production list with the txt file details and extensions or whatever. Fix?
roguesaber Mar 11, 2013 @ 4:00am
is there a Mac version cause it's not working for me

hay guys what the best mod for unlimed gold
Aghoric Visions Jan 22, 2013 @ 6:49pm
It really puts a damper on my plans for World Domination, when every map I start with has iron, horses, etc. AS FAR AS FREAKING POSSIBLE from where I am. I'll test it out and see how this goes.
epicbert Jan 16, 2013 @ 11:03am
this mod doesnt work, I have G+K and everything, but it just doesnt work. NO CORAL
