I don't know how or why, but I think he's straight-up gone forever.
To rub salt on the wound, I saved him to my character pool, and he frequently shows up on the main menu. It's my headcanon that he broke out of prison and is trying to find his way back to us. Problem is, we're in a Helicarrier, and he's on foot. The war will be over by the time he finally gets to us.
Every rescue mission I unlock all involve rescuing the same characters. I now have the same character twice because I rescued her twice. Seems like this mod didn't take into account that there may already BE a mission to save a soldier and it just replicates new ones over and over again until one of them is completed. Then the other missions stay until you complete them.
The last update to the mod was more than 4 years ago. I think they've moved on.
Try a binary search, it's surprisingly quick.

Absolutely must have. I was always wondering, towards endgame, if somebody gets captured, but I have a network of contacts all over the place... how come I cannot find them? This works well, and it seems there is a ''cooldown'' period of some sorts, also it took a while for the mission to appear, very nice. Not just - first month here you go, save everybody!
That's the dumbest question I've seen in a long while

Sounds like you mean ADVENT Avenger's "Fortress Includes Frost Immunity"
I found out the mod clashes horribly with another mod, and removing it makes this mod work fine.
The other mod was "Fortress Includes Frost" or something. The guy did post a manual fix but... yeah.
I take care of my brave soldiers.
How is it possible to prioritize avoiding capture? Is that not pure RNG?
