What is this called on the Manage Mods list?
Foxbane Jan 23, 2022 @ 1:51pm
@Aphrenedge

Ok, thanks for the response. I'll look into it myself then.
Aphrenedge  [author] Jan 23, 2022 @ 3:00am
@Foxbane

Hey, it's been a long time since I've worked on this, honestly I can't even remember how it works. I do remember there were issues with using the skirmisher/templar/reaper arms and legs on other classes. I believe it was possible but it look really bad/broken which is why I turned them off.
Foxbane Jan 18, 2022 @ 12:56pm
@Aphrenedge

I noticed the Skirmisher arms with the hero underlay are commented out in the .ini. I'd like to use them on classes other than skirmishers, but uncommenting them does nothing. Is there any other changes I need to make?
Dogforeyals May 21, 2020 @ 3:48am
tried this mod, how come there's no option to remove a gear? sorry, I'm kinda new to this mod thing... thanks!
Varulv16 Feb 3, 2020 @ 11:56am
So do the reaper coat actually work with this?
Medicman Apr 17, 2018 @ 8:06am
Would be awesome if if the reaper coat would work
Deadput Mar 23, 2018 @ 12:44pm
Any chance for an update with the Reaper and Templar Thighs in the future?
Player Feb 27, 2018 @ 8:14pm
Great mod, love the torso gear usable on other classes
Space_Lettuce_OG Feb 17, 2018 @ 10:48am
@Yamino

Ahh I understand, thanks for the info!
Ushi Feb 17, 2018 @ 2:48am
@Space Lettuce: That's vanilla behaviour, in a way. Some armors were made with the crotch-area being on the torso, mainly the powered ones iIrc, while the others did have them as part of the legs.
Space_Lettuce_OG Feb 17, 2018 @ 1:05am
@Aphrenedge

I am having an issue with some armors where the crotch/groin area is not there and you can see into and/or through the character model in this region.

Is this a known bug, or did I do something wrong?
NOTE: I do have all the required mods installed that this mod is dependent upon.

Love the mod, and I'd appreciate the help! Thanks!
ld1449 Jan 23, 2018 @ 6:49pm
I agree with Thunder, any chance that those will be added in eventually? I know the old version had it once uppon a time but it was removed with an update for some reason :/
Thunder Jan 12, 2018 @ 2:33pm
I'm still looking for this: "reaper and templar thighs."

Reaper and Templar are the best and more desired "torso" options for normal soldiers I'd bet, still no mod included those, is that because those factions have got different animations which modified something in their clothing?
FishTankDLX Dec 13, 2017 @ 12:03pm
Ah, I completely missd one of them, my bad. Thank you!
Aphrenedge  [author] Dec 13, 2017 @ 10:54am
@Fishtank UltraDeluxe

Hey, have you downloaded the required mods? They give you options to remove them. ----->
FishTankDLX Dec 13, 2017 @ 10:22am
Hey, quick note. Love the mod, however I'm having an issue with the thighs and shins. There is no option to remove the items, which means that everyone has thigh and shin pads clipping into their other pants options. I'm going to disable these parts specifically using the ntoes you have in the comments earlier for now, but I thought you should know.
Aphrenedge  [author] Dec 7, 2017 @ 5:19am
Sure I'll add you
Aphrenedge  [author] Dec 7, 2017 @ 5:12am
You can do it outside mod buddy but mod has a key binding to comment whole sections which is pretty useful for what you want.
Aphrenedge  [author] Dec 7, 2017 @ 4:53am
Hey,

You can comment out the armor that you don't want with a ";" at the start of the line. I can give a little more detail if you want to spend the time doing it. This mod is about 20,000 lines so this could take at least a few hours. If you're still interested let me know.
Aphrenedge  [author] Dec 4, 2017 @ 4:22am
If you are trying to access a torso from another mod that requires some form of tech research this mod isn't designed to unlock any armors added through other mods. Only items found in the base game/expansions.
8feet Dec 3, 2017 @ 4:46am
Some armors are locked behind tech levels. I got a cosmetic mod I was planning to use on one of my soldiers. Until I realized that I can't access the cosmetic torso because I haven't researched the technology for it yet.
Aphrenedge  [author] Dec 3, 2017 @ 3:34am
@ TempestZen thank you

@8feet you'll need to be a little more specific, I don't understand your question.
8feet Dec 1, 2017 @ 8:37pm
Is there a way to use armor, even if it's in a different tech level.
TempestZen Nov 25, 2017 @ 10:25pm
Beautiful mod. Thank you so much for putting in the work on this :)
BearAE Nov 22, 2017 @ 11:47pm
Deleted my previous comment, fixed my problem (User Error):

Resubscribing to the mod re-added AC / AH, and I see where the invisible stuff was...
That said, I somehow don't crash when I use it in character pool like I did with LAO Resistance Warrior Addon stuff before I got the DLC. So I'm generally just confused.

But hey, it works? At-least until it crashes later >.>.

Just wanted to ask, what hair mod you using on the 9th picture?
liftedBodhi Nov 14, 2017 @ 1:41pm
@Aphrenedge Thanx for the reply, I see it now in the left and right arms. Excellent mod again
Aphrenedge  [author] Nov 14, 2017 @ 10:12am
@smkngbuddha make sure you have all the required addons there is an invisible arm option in one of those. If it's not under arms it'll be under left arm/right arm.
liftedBodhi Nov 14, 2017 @ 7:38am
@Aphrenedge can you add an invisible arm option? when I use RW full suit There isnt any invisible arm option so what ever other arm option I pick results in cliping. Great work on this Mod though.
Jim Raven Nov 12, 2017 @ 3:10am
@「死の火」 Yamino Takamaru only cause certain mods ask for the one and other for the other.
Ushi Nov 8, 2017 @ 6:26am
@Jim Raven: You're using this AND Unrestricted Customization - wotc? Seriously? That can only go wrong.... :steamfacepalm:
Jim Raven Nov 8, 2017 @ 6:13am
I am looking for what of my customization mods is causing my recruits and story heroes to have random customizations on em. I had Bradford wear templar and skirmisher gear with invisible hands on the Viper mission. Anyone else using this one experiencing similar issues?

Oh yea My Alien Rullers armors are also EFFED as they look like normal armors on the cinematic.
Lyra Voss Nov 1, 2017 @ 2:55am
why did the reaper thighs not included? I was looking forward to use it T_T , thanks thou for your work, i hope you can add it in the next update if possible.
Aphrenedge  [author] Oct 28, 2017 @ 5:29am
@Circle of Psi The templar arms have a gap in them where the weapon goes which is why I left them out of the arms section. There isnt a forearm model for the weapon so that isn't possible using this mod.
Rylien Oct 28, 2017 @ 4:36am
Cool, thanks.

Tried Unrestricted Customization, lags and crashes my game something *fierce*. This is still the best :)
Aphrenedge  [author] Oct 28, 2017 @ 4:20am
@RacingM3GTR That should work. If I recall correctly there are 19 sections. So you'll need to delete or comment the torso and leftarm/rightarm DLC_30 lines in each section. Or you can just do it for the specific armor eg kevlar/predator/warden armor.
Rylien Oct 28, 2017 @ 3:51am
Just wanna know something. I fi I go into XComContent.ini and DELETE all references to AC (DLC_30 stuff), I'm guessing it's the same as commenting it out, only more permanent?

I'm asking cos I despise AC with a passion and commenting it all out takes waaaaaaay too long, the last version of this mod took me half an hour to comment it all out.
Memethan Oct 9, 2017 @ 4:58pm
Love the mod! Is there a way to only enable kevlar-tier customization? I often find that rookies have powered/predator armor pieces that look really out of place.
KaptainKipling Oct 1, 2017 @ 12:48pm
Hi, I've been having some difficulty with this mod. For some reason it's causing my game to crash when I try to move a soldier during a mission. I've also had the same problem with Unrestricted Armor Options.

Could it be an issue interacting with another mod? I can post my full mod list if you need. Thanks!
twopointfour Oct 1, 2017 @ 10:07am
I'm just after the torso decos, what do I need to comment out in the .ini? I imagine it's literally every other option that isn't TorsoDeco or whatever it's named as
CoffeeBeans Sep 26, 2017 @ 3:35pm
After going through my load order, it would be nice to have it more "locked down" to say the least. Multiple torsos have to big spaces for the arms, and clipping issues and a lot of things. Granted, i'm using cosmetic mods. So it could be a mixture of yours and theirs that makes this happend.
Aphrenedge  [author] Sep 21, 2017 @ 1:46am
@Jsleezy I've sent you an add
G-Zeus Sep 20, 2017 @ 8:04pm
If you don't mind me asking, one modder to another, how did you get the rookie slider to work? I can't find any information on it.
Lu Bu Sep 17, 2017 @ 3:34pm
I have found a way to get reaper and templar thighs, but you need to be careful and only do it for the characters you really want to have that on.

So basically, you want to finish making your character first, then you just get Toxic Frog's customize mod, tack on the thighs, save your character and then remove the mod. Toxic Frog's mod might be gone, but the reaper thigh remains on the character.

It worked for me and now my characters look badass, without having to deal with the bugs Toxic Frog's mod current has. I should note that I did it with THIS mod active at the same time, I am not sure what will happen if you do otherwise.
Sirabot Sep 16, 2017 @ 5:19pm
@H H H H (₣ŘΔŇŦŽĦ)
Because reaper and templar thighs use the physics of the class's skeleton/mesh and it would require replacing the standard soldiers with that skeleton/mesh. And that requires a class overwrite. I believe this mod's intention is to be more light weight. If you really want it, go find Toxic Frogs mod and deal with and troubleshoot possible load order and class overwrite issues.
Frantzh Sep 16, 2017 @ 2:05pm
why no reaper and templar thighs?
Experiments Sep 16, 2017 @ 1:29pm
>I am considering doing a version of this mod that puts out perfect looking characters every time but restricts customization almost completely

Considering how the game saves cosmetics, I'm surprised we don't already have an "override" setup. If you're interested I can help script it but it'd boil down to 1) Defaulting all cosmetic lists to only read a narrow 'vanilla plus' list, possibly adding on parts for certain installed armor mods 2) Having a UI box that's selected to go into the unilimited list with all mod-added and faction cosmetics
Aphrenedge  [author] Sep 16, 2017 @ 11:37am
I dont know, I haven't tested that
