@cucumpear would it be alright if I post this to @mlie discord and see if he could give you some assistance with updatingit to 1.4?
cucumpear  [author] Aug 2, 2022 @ 4:31am
No, sorry, the way it works it has to manually be patched in for each animal. And I'm out of the modding scene for the time being.
hottt3 Aug 1, 2022 @ 9:52am
If I have a number of mods that add animals, will it work with the non-vanilla animals?
Sep Jul 25, 2021 @ 3:42pm
No worries! Thanks so much <3
cucumpear  [author] Jul 25, 2021 @ 11:45am
Wow, did I legit forget to change that? How embarrassing! XD
Sep Jul 25, 2021 @ 10:08am
Hi Cucumpear, I'm trying to use this but its dependency is the old ACP as far as I can tell? Would it be possibly to switch that to the one that's 1.3 compatible? RimPy is yelling at me, haha! Thank you <3

1.2 can't use
Izanami Jul 20, 2020 @ 4:28am

cucumpear  [author] May 18, 2020 @ 10:18am

Sasha Fox #SaveTF2 Mar 24, 2020 @ 9:29pm
Looking forward to it and thank you for the effort making it and maintaining it!
cucumpear  [author] Mar 17, 2020 @ 5:12pm
I'll get to it eventually. Might be a few days though.
Camaleão Mar 17, 2020 @ 3:47pm
Update to 1.1?
BlueTressym Feb 23, 2020 @ 4:06pm
@Cucumpear. The issue still seems to exist. I've just finished a colony and am poking around with modlists and stuff. I'm getting the error with the mods enabled. I'm going to use the fix mentioned in the thread again but it does seem to still be there.

cucumpear  [author] Dec 30, 2019 @ 4:07am
@Thundercraft That thread is a year old and the issue should be fixed. ^^
Thundercraft Dec 30, 2019 @ 2:13am
@cucumpear [author] Sounds like a very useful mod. But shouldn't you add Vanilla Animals Overhaul Reloaded under the category of " Known Conflicts "? See this discussion thread about this compatibility issue and what it may or may not require to fix it.
cucumpear  [author] Sep 27, 2019 @ 4:59pm
I would probably just open the animals' def files and search for the tag, since that only appears if an item drop is present. And for animals where you want to override that, it's fairly easy.

You just want to either do an operation to remove the present butcherBodyPart and then run your operations to add yours or use the PatchOperationReplace instead of PatchOperationAdd.
jupiterLILY Sep 27, 2019 @ 2:35pm
Oh that sucks, I was going to do royal thrumbos too! Do you know how I can check if the animal drops something else? I'm happy to go digging around in mod files but I'm still a beginner and not really sure what I'm looking for.
cucumpear  [author] Sep 27, 2019 @ 2:19pm
That's basically it, as long as every animal has the butcherbodypart patched in and a rough fleece exists you should be good. Just be aware that each animal can only have one type of item drop when butchered (other than meat and leather, of course), so if something already has tusks or horns you can't have wool as well.
jupiterLILY Sep 27, 2019 @ 2:05pm
Hey, I wanted to try and make a patch for the megafauna mod! Is it just a case of changing the names in WoolPatchesACP and assigning colours in Item_Resource_Stuff? Or are there extra steps?
BanHandled Jun 21, 2019 @ 4:26am
Ah, makes sense then. Probably should have checked the date for the referenced comment about the more realistic wool production...

Thank you.
cucumpear  [author] Jun 21, 2019 @ 2:50am
I fixed that a while back. ^^
That's actually the reason I use the aforementioned ModCheck. It allows me to have that patch only run if people actually have SMRWP active. :D
BanHandled Jun 20, 2019 @ 10:54pm
Is potential incompatibility between this and slightly more realistic wool production still a (potential) issue?
If it is I would like to report that I've been using them together for week(s) just fine... to the point where I thought they were already patched to work together...
Now if only the same could be said for the leather working one and various mods...
BlueTressym Jun 20, 2019 @ 3:12pm
I see. Thank you for the explanation. :)
cucumpear  [author] Jun 20, 2019 @ 1:24pm
Ah, I must have missed an update. The ModCheck.dll is included with quite a few mods so we can use certain patching operations. :)
BlueTressym Jun 20, 2019 @ 12:46pm
Hiya. I'm getting a message: [Shear Those Corpses ACP] Using outdated ModCheck.dll

I'm not using the ModCheck mod.

https :/gist.github.com/4eb19a524dd11c0077a9ed8be4df96d4

(Also, getting the same message for Shear Those Corpses Vanilla but seems a bit silly for me to post pretty much exactly the same info twice.)
cucumpear  [author] Jan 13, 2019 @ 2:11pm
@AmbiguousMonk I'm testing a patch dor Slightly More Realistic Wool Production now, but it would require two steps of refining, since I have to link each item that is dropped when butchering to a body part. If I wanted to (for example) have the megasloth drop 40 fleeces I would have to add 40 imaginary body parts and that would potentially mess up combat.
So it would be processing a wool pile into fleece and then those into wool.

@spsblue I'm also testing a different patch for checking for that body part, but that might require other modders to adapt their patch too.
cucumpear  [author] Jan 11, 2019 @ 11:14am
Yes, you already reported this in ACP and I replied to you :P
spsblue Jan 11, 2019 @ 9:51am
Hi. I seem to be getting some red xml errors that occur when I've got this active:

(I can't post it here as it's way too long; it'd be about 4 posts!)

{LINK REMOVED}

Something about bison?
AmbiguousMonk Dec 21, 2018 @ 3:12pm
That would be awesome. I pretty much use "Slightly More Realistic Wool Production" to up the pawn work necessary to make wool, since wool is so strong in this game. Getting fleece from butchering animals would make it not strictly necessary to tame wooly animals to get that fleece
cucumpear  [author] Dec 21, 2018 @ 2:40pm
Not at the moment, but I can put that on my to-do list. I haven't tested it but I would expect that you get a fleece when shearing and my wool pile when butchering.
AmbiguousMonk Dec 21, 2018 @ 11:30am
Does this mod support "Slightly More Realistic Wool Production"? e.g. will this mod make butchered animals start dropping fleece which can then be refined by that mod
_♣Caligula♣_ Oct 21, 2018 @ 11:32am
Awesome! Thanks a lot
cucumpear  [author] Oct 21, 2018 @ 3:31am
Oh, whoops, I forgot I was waiting for the official ACP update. I just need to start up the game. But you can totally enable the mod right now, only the version number changed from 0.19
_♣Caligula♣_ Oct 21, 2018 @ 3:27am
Update pls :)
gen.mlg564 Aug 31, 2018 @ 4:30pm
is ok will the other animals part mod
ApocTheWanderer May 21, 2018 @ 10:45am
oh ok
cucumpear  [author] May 21, 2018 @ 10:30am
Both are standalone, but if you want to shear vanilla animals you will need both.
ApocTheWanderer May 21, 2018 @ 9:53am
Do I need the none ACP one to?
#6 Nov 23, 2017 @ 4:17am
awesome, I love your mods they're pretty great :D
cucumpear  [author] Nov 23, 2017 @ 2:08am
Derp, I thought I'd done that already, sorry. Should be up some time today.
#6 Nov 22, 2017 @ 8:09pm
is this getting updated to B18? I'd really love to be able to use ACP again but this mod makes it soooooooo much better for hunting.
Joe_z Oct 21, 2017 @ 10:05am
i cant endorse this because you are feeding you animals devil hay

for shame
cucumpear  [author] Sep 17, 2017 @ 2:03am
You need both of them, I'm trying to keep things like this modular so it's easier to pick and choose. :)
Lysis Sep 17, 2017 @ 12:02am
oh. do you need this AND the vanilla one to get all the wooly goodness, or does this one include vanilla animals?
Lysis Sep 17, 2017 @ 12:01am
aha. the vanilla in the other mod should have clued me in
