Do these mods work with the DLC campaigns or is it GC only?
Xeryx  [author] Apr 16, 2020 @ 1:47pm
Thanks, it was a really hard mission to accomplish, there are lots of issues with Attila that are let us say broken, so to get that far was a pretty major accomplishment.
pilad89 Apr 14, 2020 @ 1:01pm
All sorted. You have made some great mechanics even if AI is a bit too passive. Good job
pilad89 Apr 13, 2020 @ 5:20am
Hi friend, I am trying many of your mods together. I am playing with the jutes and nobody wants trade agreement even if they are friendly. Is it supposed to be like this? how frindl should I get with them before to get trade agreement. Thanks
Allaes Mar 15, 2020 @ 6:17am
ok thanks
Xeryx  [author] Mar 14, 2020 @ 4:01pm
I would think it would be compatible. you would want XAI stuff to load after all that stuff
Allaes Mar 11, 2020 @ 9:33am
Wonderful mod !!! Is your mod available with MK 1212 ?
Xeryx  [author] Nov 20, 2019 @ 12:56pm
They will, you have to play with the balance of trades. Also make sure you have followed the instruction and it is not compatible with other mods that will mod diplomacy as they are exclusive.
SirCartonDeWiart Nov 20, 2019 @ 12:49pm
Ugh the AI does not want to sign a basic trade agreement or pact of non aggresion, even completely green factions.
k0nstant Sep 3, 2019 @ 1:30pm
Hey Xerys, just wanted to say hello to you! I helped test this on twcenter (the guy that kept messaging you) but I stopped playing Attila for a while so I didn't get back on that website for a while. I'm using this with Terminus Total War (a mod that recently seems to have gotten popular even though I've been using it more than 2 years ago!) and I feel like it works. Playing as Theme of Egypt (a Roman faction), no one wants to trade with me and my only ally Byzantine decided to cancel everything for some reason (perhaps because the Garamantians declared war on me). It seems to make sense, we'll help you fight them but after that we can't promise to fight anymore so goodbye.
Xeryx  [author] Dec 13, 2018 @ 6:53am
Attilla had tons of remnant code ain it from Rome.
Xeryx  [author] Dec 13, 2018 @ 6:49am
Thanks for the feedback, and I did stop development of the mod because there are so many issues with the code in this game, that I kept hitting brick walls when trying to acomplish more. I think that the devs themselves had no idea what most of the code did.
atriski Dec 13, 2018 @ 1:18am
I dont know if you are developing this anymore, but here some feedback:

AI is very diplomatic. Playing as WRE Mauretania married my princess and offered to become my puppet! I sieged down Gepids capital and they offered me money on next turn for peace! When I kicked their armies they sued for peace.

Now the issue is AI is very peace-loving. Sure it does not make sense to wage war against the most powerful state in game? This mod is great, and in any other game it would be golden, but this is attila and I want my apocalypse.

I stopped playing WRE after 20 turns: I had not lost a single settelement, no rebellions, food and happines full green. I made +10k in a turn and I was planning offencive actions against barbarians. Also I suspect AI is less hostile towards player.
Xeryx  [author] Nov 27, 2018 @ 8:24am
Yep, this is the problem with the game overall.
sizarieldor2 Nov 26, 2018 @ 5:56am
Nobody is attacking the Western Roman Empire.

In 410 the WRE is at war with 6 factions and only I (Eblanians) am taking any of the Romans' regions. The Maurians took one region in Spain, but got destroyed shortly after.

..was just trying to help. I'm not asking for you to fix anything for me, just thought you would want to know if something wasn't working. "Let me put it this way" is because I deleted a previous message that I ended up putting in the bug reports thread, not an attempt at passive aggression.

There's no edit function- I'm not spamming anything.

The Roman empire are broken in many ways.
Xeryx  [author] Jul 19, 2018 @ 6:09pm
But I didn't make this mod for the Roman Player, that is what Rome total war is for.
Xeryx  [author] Jul 19, 2018 @ 6:08pm
Sorry, no time to help right now.
helping Jul 18, 2018 @ 9:32am
In fact AI vs AI aggression seems *way* more frequent than the AI attacking the player.
helping Jul 18, 2018 @ 9:31am
Bizarrely the AI seems to be a lot more aggressive towards WRE AI than WRE player?
helping Jul 17, 2018 @ 4:27am
Legendary doesn't help, not much surprise to you though I'm sure
helping Jul 17, 2018 @ 3:22am
Let me put it this way- an easier start as the WRE snowballs into making Attila a cakewalk who who tribute *you* money to peace out (as he should, mind). I have 5 million gold and 100K income by 432 with minimal taxes.

I'm gonna try it on legendary, but there's clearly something missing with respect to AI aggression, because WRome's opponents were far more aggressive historically from the start date, regardless of how powerful the WRE was on paper. And I'm not stronger at the start, the AI just isn't taking advantage of opportunities.
Xeryx  [author] Jun 11, 2018 @ 10:43am
I hear ya, not sure if it will be fixable
Xeryx  [author] May 29, 2018 @ 7:35pm
Nope, too much overlap
TalosCw May 28, 2018 @ 10:16am
hey nice mods gonna try them when i get back home, question qould they be coompatible with fall of the eagles?
Xeryx  [author] Apr 2, 2018 @ 1:47pm
Your relations have to be good, and you can't be trecherous
Ulfur Apr 1, 2018 @ 1:03pm
doesnt work, still people wont trade with me when it makes them money and they like me?????
Alu Nox Apr 1, 2018 @ 11:48am
I started playing Huns on Legendary but I was able to instantly form more than 10 tributary states including WRE, ERE and Sassanids. I think there needs to be done some tweaking asap.
mrvalgard Mar 1, 2018 @ 4:08am
can u trade regions with it?
Eloquent Paradox Feb 21, 2018 @ 6:18am
I got it sorted!
For some reason subscribing to your collection didn't subscribe me to Skidvars Garrisons. Once I'd done it manually it loaded straight up. Thanks though.

Seems very good so far, I love the small changes to many aspects of the game that just make iot more enjoyable, and much more balanced.

I'm playing as Aksum, turn 64. Only thing is, despite being at war with the Sassanids since turn 5, they haven't attacked a single settlement of mine, only half-heartedly defending their own. Is this normal?
Xeryx  [author] Feb 21, 2018 @ 5:47am
make sure you look at the reqired modules some work together.
Eloquent Paradox Feb 18, 2018 @ 3:26pm
I cannot play this mod.. And I'm desperate to try it out :(
Xeryx  [author] Feb 15, 2018 @ 4:54am
Not sure what to tell you other than it is probably an incompatibility. The generals points work just fine
GilleyThaKid Feb 14, 2018 @ 3:16am
not sure if this is from your mod, but its happened right after installing it. i only have the imperius campaign mod installed alongside yours. but i cant place skill points in my generals tree when they level up. I am able to put a point in the skill on the side thats unique to each general, but not in the tree itself. If anyone knows if this is just a random bug and theres a way to fix it please tell me. cuz i finally am playing with a nomadic faction and enjoying how things are turning out
Xeryx  [author] Feb 8, 2018 @ 3:21am
Yes. That is correct. Because of the scripts. They are not compatible. Skidvar has looked at that mod. You might ask him. If he has any plans for integration or doing something with it.
Achilles4 Feb 6, 2018 @ 7:17pm
Love your mods, but I really like using the Maga Region trading. But it doesn't work with your mods. I am wondering if you have a mod that does region trading? I really like playing east rome but need that region trading. any help would be awesome. Specifically, the maga region trading is not compatible with THARBBG
toobar505 Jan 21, 2018 @ 6:20am
There was no need to prevent most factions from setting up tributary states.
freeballusd331 Jan 9, 2018 @ 10:24pm
i've had a decent experience with this mod series throught the development of the grand campaign; however, i noticed the AI is extremely aggressive when you start the game so be weary. I've had to restart entirely multiple times because I was overwhelmed before the end of the first 10 turns of the campaign. Finally, i ended up having to move to the northestern unsettled regions of the map just to survive.

Besides my point, this mod series really revamped the game for me. A suggestion would be to add some RPG elements with the generals, governers, and agents. Similar to the mods already availiable to us.

I have level 3 imperium, thought I mentioned it. Just impressive rank. I'm booming until Atilla so no wasting resources on war if no one is attacking me.
Xeryx  [author] Jan 9, 2018 @ 5:16pm
Well, I think imperium is the main culprit for not getting attacked. I will most likely take away per settelement imperium. There are also a couple of other things I will try, but then there is issues with suicidal armies. I will also look ar the hatreds, the main issue if course is that you are a Roman. Almost all other factions fight each other.
oddball Jan 9, 2018 @ 3:45pm
I'm experiencing the same issues as runihansen13 when playing as the ERE on legendary. I hold all the starting territory + have 21k income per turn. No expansion beyond burning a couple of minors and wiping out some migrators who were raiding my shit. Sassanids have been gobbling up the neighbors but ignore me. No one declares war on me EXCEPT for the jutes, picts, caledonians and danes. They declare war, peace out with a nice payment after 5 turns, then 5 turns later declare war again. This has been going on for 40 turns. I have level 3 imperium. Sometimes the Garamantians do it to, but they're more reasonable about it.

I can provide you the save if you want to check it out.

I also noticed that the T3 main settlement city has a maintenance cost of -150 when the T2 one costs -300 and the T4 one costs -600. Guessing that's a bug.
Xeryx  [author] Jan 6, 2018 @ 7:58pm
Thanks Toffee, aparently someone apreciates the many hours to fix the AI and diplomacy. With that said there is still a lot of work to be done.
Xeryx  [author] Jan 6, 2018 @ 7:56pm
@runhanson, not sure what to tell you. You have given me ZERO information about your campaign. I don't have those issues overall. But be aware that if your Imperium is is much higher than other factions, then yes they will be reluctant to declare ware on you.

However, I did not make this mod to be total war, or to be for hardcore players that want impossible odds. My goal is to fix the AI to actually work, so that the game can be diverse and enjoyable. Maybe you should look for a different mod. I have also explained before about why factions declare war on factions far away.
Herrick Dec 31, 2017 @ 11:13pm
I have also experienced a very peaceful campaign with almost every faction I play with. I prefer total war than total peace.
ToffeeFiveOh Dec 31, 2017 @ 10:40am
Wow, I am really impressed at how this changes the tenor of the grand campaign, really enjoying this playthrough. Props Xeryx, also huge bonus props for being so responsive to all of these posts!
Floki Dec 16, 2017 @ 11:24am
Hi, I'm about on 30-40 turns in my ERE campaign and it's a very peaceful campaign. No one declares war on me - maybe I'm just too strong :) . An other thing is that brittish/pictish factions are declaring war on factions like Nobatia and Lazica - on the other side of the map. Other than that, a great collection of mods.
