AI is very diplomatic. Playing as WRE Mauretania married my princess and offered to become my puppet! I sieged down Gepids capital and they offered me money on next turn for peace! When I kicked their armies they sued for peace.
Now the issue is AI is very peace-loving. Sure it does not make sense to wage war against the most powerful state in game? This mod is great, and in any other game it would be golden, but this is attila and I want my apocalypse.
I stopped playing WRE after 20 turns: I had not lost a single settelement, no rebellions, food and happines full green. I made +10k in a turn and I was planning offencive actions against barbarians. Also I suspect AI is less hostile towards player.
In 410 the WRE is at war with 6 factions and only I (Eblanians) am taking any of the Romans' regions. The Maurians took one region in Spain, but got destroyed shortly after.
There's no edit function- I'm not spamming anything.
I'm gonna try it on legendary, but there's clearly something missing with respect to AI aggression, because WRome's opponents were far more aggressive historically from the start date, regardless of how powerful the WRE was on paper. And I'm not stronger at the start, the AI just isn't taking advantage of opportunities.
For some reason subscribing to your collection didn't subscribe me to Skidvars Garrisons. Once I'd done it manually it loaded straight up. Thanks though.
Seems very good so far, I love the small changes to many aspects of the game that just make iot more enjoyable, and much more balanced.
I'm playing as Aksum, turn 64. Only thing is, despite being at war with the Sassanids since turn 5, they haven't attacked a single settlement of mine, only half-heartedly defending their own. Is this normal?
Besides my point, this mod series really revamped the game for me. A suggestion would be to add some RPG elements with the generals, governers, and agents. Similar to the mods already availiable to us.
I can provide you the save if you want to check it out.
I also noticed that the T3 main settlement city has a maintenance cost of -150 when the T2 one costs -300 and the T4 one costs -600. Guessing that's a bug.
However, I did not make this mod to be total war, or to be for hardcore players that want impossible odds. My goal is to fix the AI to actually work, so that the game can be diverse and enjoyable. Maybe you should look for a different mod. I have also explained before about why factions declare war on factions far away.
