i've herd this mod makes your modded and standard guns dissapear after this research in lasers in completed.

My laser weapons don't work proparly. Mag for weapons missing, and i can't shoot. (Also, info menu does not show how much this weapons hit)

Great mod. The only issue is the laser shotgun effects really tank the fps, I play at locked 120 and it suddenly drops to 30 fps whenever the laser effects are displayed. :(

Does this add laser weapons for the WOTC resistance factions? Because if it does they aren't showing up for me.

Someone please, please make a Strategy Overhaul Bridge for this. I want the Prototype Armory to stop throwing me errors. The Bridge builder mod instructions are terribly obtuse. There should be an detailed instruction video or something for numb-skulls like me.

I buy the pulse weapons, but they don’t show up in my inventory!
I don’t have Iridar’s Five Tier Weapon Overhaul mod.

However, I do use Weapon and Item Overhaul. Any help is much appreciated!

Hey, halfway through my first playthrough with this stuff and rummaging around in the .ini, wondering how and when this laser sword, psiamp, gremlin, and grenade launcher come in? Is that the "Plasma (Beam) weapons" you mentioned?

If the laser weapons are not showing up in inventory, you likely have one of iridar or someone else`s laser mod conflicting.

Can this be used with Coilguns for War of the Chosen mod to create 2 extra tiers, eg Mag > Laser > Coil > Plasma? If so how would you set that up so that Laser research unlocks Coil, and Coil unlocks Plasma tier?

Okay so the pulse rifle's particle effects are messed up, shoots a little tiny laser instead the actual laser, and the pulse cannon's firing sound is gone. Are there any planned fixes for these issues?

@RAAAWRY! I have used this mod for over a year + and had no issues. The weapons show up when reached and built. If you are experiencing an issue, then it must be due to a mod conflict or some other variable. Stating that you shouldn't install this mod, which is required for other mods btw, isn't extremely helpful.

Do Not Install: this mod does not work at all.

Cannot equip any soldiers with laser weapons after research and building. What a waste of a campaign.

When you research this tier does it replace all your magnetic weapons in the armoury? and does researching plasma replace all the laser weapons in the armoury?

Happy to see that the these look almost completely different than the the TLP versions. Its almost like the TLP version is what they looked like when X-Com originally cobbled together the original laser weapons and these are a more perfected version.

Does anyone know if there is a way to comment out the new research projects? I'm using Iridar's Weapon Skin mod to replace Militia weapons and SMGs with these, but having to research a useless tech before getting plasma, now, is especially annoying.

@Nasarog: if you mean the Technical, there's apparently some big issues with it that need to be worked on first.

@everyone: main reason Pavonis decided to not do LWoTC is simple. They wanted to devote time to Terra Invicta, their own game they're making. they originally did the LW stuff for XCOM 2 to kickstart the XCOM 2 modding community, after all.

this is also why there's currently a push amongst the modding community to make LWoTC. it's going to take some time though.

Is it possible using just ini editing (I don't even want to try to use the Kit lol) to make this stuff replace the Mag tier? I hate mag weapons and would love to use lasers instead!

Do these guns just kinda disappear at some point? I don't see em anywhere in my game anymore. Might be a conflict with something else, just figured I'd ask first.
