Are you sure you wanted this mod and not the Redux version ?
In the redux there is a checkbox to Disable Miss Click Protection ...

Hey guys! :)
I have just installed my first mods ever on steam!

All the required mods are installed to have this one running and some of the QoL additions works fine, but I can't seem to get the "Miss Click Protection" to work.

When I enter the "Mod Options" in-game, the mod's "check box" to the right of the name, isn't marked, which seems a bit weird. Shouldn't the check box be marked to have all the mods enabled? Other stuff like the icons on the floor when you move work for example, even tho the mod's checkbox isn't marked.

Sometimes, the overwatch warning does not pop up. With (possibly) bad results.
At least, that happened to me in rare occasions.

If you are playing the WOTC DLC.. you only need the WOTC version (this rule applies the same as most mods on the workshop btw)

I’ve noticed that the yellow warning icon that’s supposed to show you whether you’ll activate a pod isn’t always accurate. Sometimes it is, but sometimes, if I move to a spot with a warning, the pod doesn’t trigger.

I’ve also noticed that the Overwatch trigger warning still appears even if the soldier has Shadowstep. Additionally, warnings are not always accurate; I moved a soldier to a field without the icon showing that they’d take damage from the Psionic Bomb, yet they still took damage.

I had this problem for over a year but today I finally got it sorted out go into your files for xcom 2 war of the chosen and delete the config files, then reload the game. Hopefully this works for others.

Fresh install on a new Win11 OS, suddenly both overwatch indicators and pod activation indicators don't show up unless it's a melee attack. Seems like I'm not the only chap with this issue lately.. ?!

Hi I am having issues with this mod, when previewing which tile to move to, the icons are not toggling, it use to be working fine. the only additional mod i added was some extra type of enemies such as Cerberus from Mass Effect. would this have an effect on the way the mod works?

@khumak: I find it extremely uncomfortable when I cannot see whole battlefield at once. It's possible to zoom out further with this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1128430976 (which is actually a one line config change, respective option is ZoomedDistanceFromCursor in XComGame.X2Camera_LookAt)

One option I would love to see added would be a way to see whether someone with remote hacking, like a specialist, has line of sight to perform a hack on an enemy like a drone or mech. You already get the hacking symbol on the enemy itself, but sometimes it's not possible to zoom out far enough to see that hack icon on the enemy while still being able to move your unit. So while you can see which units you have line of sight to shoot, you have no idea whether you can hack a target that's a long way off but within view of one of your other units.

Some kind of squadsight type plus sight or something on the hack symbol in the square you're moving to instead of the regular hacking symbol would be nice. It's pretty common for me to find that I can hack a drone or a mech from where my unit currently is, but after moving I no longer can, even if it looked like I would still have line of sight prior to the actual move.

Any chance for an MCM option for Overwatch indicators to not show up for units with Shadowstep or similar abilities?

Gets a bit confusing when they game says they'll trigger overwatch.

Yeah I realized about the insider knowledge fix yesterday, funny coincidence. Was wondering why my stocks did 5 damage. I still had it from my og file back in 2020. Still, appreciate it. That's a good shout.

@Jack. I've done all those plus reinstalling the game. Well whatever, I'll just put up w the Lost lag and SPARK unreliability then uninstall this mod next playthrough. Thanks for the attempt regardless.

Whilst I doubt it's the cause of your problems you don't need "Insider Knowledge Fix", that was deprecated by Highlander 1.22.0, July 2021. The bugfix part of "Reliable Smoke" was deprecated in the same Highlander version too.

I'm not seeing the problems you do, btw.

Even voice packs can be an issue with wotc. I heard someone say the geralt witcher has an issue on the discord

Yeah that's a good point. Apologies. I was just angry my L/i challenge-run campaign was corrupted and also had to redo an irritating mission from scratch. It's unlikely this mod is causing the intermittent crashes. The other issues, however...
Problem is. My mods are like 90% voicepacks/minor customization. I genuinely don't see what in my list it's conflicting with. Every one of these issues started ONLY after installing this mod. I've installed nothing new since my last problem-free campaign a week ago, besides this mod (and 'Infinite TLP Weaponry' and 'Cosmetic Iron Sights').

(also I just remembered trying to uninstall this last campaign and having it completely break the UI--movement tiles wrong, no HP bars, etc. I really don't have too many mods either. So on top of everything else I'm leaning on this mod being a buggy mess)

I never had any of these issues once (or any mod issues, really) until I downloaded this mod, but maybe you're right. As weird as it is, maybe it is pure coincidence,.

However, besides this mod I'm using nearly nothing different from my last campaign, except 1) I'm using all SPARKs and 2) I'm using a LOT more rockets (SPARKs come w/ one). Only thing I can think of is that rockets don't play well with Free Camera Rotation, for some bewildering reason. Are you positive about that?

That's not from this mod. The white screen is I think from a free camera mod. Sounds like you've got other mod conflicts happening mate, but it's not this. Just cause you have AML, it won't flag every conflict.

Turns out, trying to exit to menu when the explosives-white-screen crash happens will just corrupt your ironman save. man FUCK this mod. lucky I keep my own backups.

On one hand, this mod is really practical. On the other hand, it's fairly unstable. My game was running perfectly fine until I got this. No crashes. Then literally the first mission (Lost Horde) I have w/ this mod, first crash I ever had. And speaking of Lost, any missions with the Lost/multiple targets are laggy as hell after installing this.
Other issues are there's periodic crashes when using explosives (presumably due to calculating new sight lines). SPARKs still have broken/lying sight lines, the exact same issue as WoTC's target preview, leading to constant mistakes and pod-activations Since I'm doing an all-SPARK L/I run, this mod is barely worth keeping bc of all these problems.

(Yes I have Alt. Mod Launcher. Yes, I uninstalled the game and cleared configs. This mod just has its own issues)

It would be great if there was an indicator for explosive objects suitable for Remote Start, at least for objects targetable from current position. Moving out just to lose sight on a car is totally uncool.

Is it this mod that's causing a zoom in every time I move a unit within enemy line of sight? Even if there's no overwatch or interaction, it zooms in on the nearest enemy when I move a squad member.
