Vitri  [author] Sep 4, 2015 @ 4:47pm
Kai

Put the code to get it, then... It's free anyway xD
Carolina Sep 4, 2015 @ 4:31pm
can't find the book :(
Lord vonBrightmoor Dec 23, 2014 @ 2:36pm
I am gonna say whats wrong with this mod, Well?
I got an ebony arrow in the knee, instead of an iron one!
Great Job! You happy now?

crowdog

That's the point... is more difficult, balanced. Believe me, one for one would be a lot worse.
thps3rulz2 May 17, 2014 @ 5:40pm
Also helps whatever skill that spell falls under.
thps3rulz2 May 17, 2014 @ 5:39pm
Freaking sweet mod. Started with many, many different arrows, and ended up with about 850 Deadric arrows in the first session.

Try to put my mod in the bottom of your Skyrim Laucher; if you have some mod that modify the place where the book is, will modify where he'll be.
Dandy Jun 11, 2013 @ 8:48am
thanks for this mod
Wintermute Jan 9, 2013 @ 2:18pm
Well, that's true, or you could simply balance it by making it so that the spell affects the lower level arrows first instead of the higher level arrows, or just putting the limit to a medium arrow like dwarven and making a more expencieve spell for higher level arrows.
Vitri  [author] Jan 9, 2013 @ 2:10pm
Whitenoise

Yep, it's better if fit perfectly to you, but I worry about a detail of all this; with 8 iron arrows, passing through all the processes - correct me if I wrong - to make 1 daedric arrow; certainly a low level dragonborn will be grateful to have some of the most deadly arrow of the game, in so short of time =D
Wintermute Jan 9, 2013 @ 12:50pm
Well, you see, the thing here is that even when you are a high level archer, you ratter have a bounch of low damage arrows than just a fistfull of high power arrows.
But that's just my opinion, and I already modify the script to my licking.
Vitri  [author] Jan 9, 2013 @ 11:04am
Whitenoise

But that is the point dude, when you become more strong and better in game, you will have a lot of arrows, not just Iron Arrow. That's the issue, you want to transmute all Iron, that is the lower arrow in this mod, to the Daedric, see the point? It's balance 'cause it's proportional, but please notice that you can drop arrows that you don't want to transmute, so you can really gain something big. Please, any more comments, you know where to put!
Wintermute Jan 9, 2013 @ 8:34am
I really like this mod, but I also think it's unballanced, It's very taxing for the player; to make a single daedric arrow you have to destroy 128 iron arrows, leaving you with a loss of 120 septims on per daedric arrows (Iron=1s, daedric=8)
And that is because of exponential growgth. And because you can only create 12 of each with 24 of the other you need 1536 iron arrows to make 12 daedric arrows leaving you with a total lose of 1440 septims.
I think a way to rebalance this is by making some of the transmutations 1:1 like this:
Iron -> Steel 1:1
Steel -> Orcish 2:1
Orcish -> Dwarven 1:1
Dwarven -> Elven 2:1
Elven -> Glass 1:1
Glass -> Ebony 2:1
Ebony -> Daedric 1:1
That way you only need 8 iron arrows to make 1 daedric arrows and the loss isn't that big.

Wow, I forget about the perk system, like if you have the perk that allow you craft a Elven item in the forge, you will be able to transmute Elven Arrow, else it's just dosen't work... but I think it's fine the way it is, it's a spell dude, is all-place to work, and use the school of Alteration, so is better increase in Alteration skill. Not big deal if the player have or not the perk that forge some item.

Btw, about your ideas, it's really good indeed. I really don't have skill enough with the Scripts to make something like that, at least so far; but is really cool. I suggest you ask for someone that have skill and see if he can do something like that, 'cause I can't =D
MikeOxabigun Dec 16, 2012 @ 5:36pm
You could then go so far to make a secondary mod that adds "perks" to some of the trees, for example "Using transmuted arrows applies a poison that scales with your level to your ranged weapon." in the Archery tree or "Wearing transmuted armor makes you 50% immune to poison effects." and "Wearing a full set of transmuted armor gives you full poison immunity and 50% greater effects from benifitial potions." or or or .. "Killing beasts with a transmuted blade coats the blade in a mild/strong/deadly (ranks) poison." ~ Mind officially blown lol
Vitri  [author] Dec 16, 2012 @ 4:52pm
Icemelt

Lol certainly you made a big mess in my head now! But is done, and works fine the new content... the Ancient is a good arrow indeed, the same damage that Steel, so is treated like iguals here; but only will be avaiable after I do some testings with this. He works like a "Optional Transmute", not gonna happen if you don't have it, like the others =D
MikeOxabigun Dec 16, 2012 @ 4:14pm
.. adding also, the 1:1 transmutes could be non-transmute, but rather call it "cleaning" or "prepairing".. that way it's not 'actually' a transmutation, but rather an activity a transmuter would have to preform 'before' they could actually transmute some 'semi-magic' or 'old-world' or 'strange-race' or whatever you want to call them... arrows. XD Anyway lol
MikeOxabigun Dec 16, 2012 @ 4:11pm
How about some "one to one" conversions for Anchient Nordic -> Steel (1:1) .. stacks of 10 at a time maybe? This is in response to andrew.eg's suggestion.
scairns Dec 16, 2012 @ 3:53am
Thanks for considering the crossbow bolts. The crossbow is a kick ass weapon, all you need is the ammunition . . . . :- (
Angel no Tsubasa Dec 15, 2012 @ 3:33am
Fantastic! I have tones of iron and steel arrows in my chests!
Vitri  [author] Dec 14, 2012 @ 7:49am
andrew.eg

I don't think so, because it's to bad arrows dude, and will turn this mod in a impossible to transmute for a good arrow, 'cause will take so long to convert for something good. But I will put the Ancient in the next update (What is a common arrow too).

BTW, thx for the comments... any more else, put here!
andrew.eg Dec 14, 2012 @ 7:42am
Could you have it so that we can convert the 7 damage falmer and forsworn arrows into iron arrows please?
Vitri  [author] Dec 13, 2012 @ 7:36am
Afgerak

A lot mana dude, but I can't say for sure 'cause this number change acording with your character; like race, perks, skills... but in terms, at least 60 magicka you will use in the beginner!

Michael

Yeap, I still thinking on the script... if this way will be overpower or not, like other things. I made, in past, some mods and I regret to make a quickly decision, you know... I just want to be sure; leisurely =D

Icemelt

What a ideia dude, I think this can be do it! I gonna put this in my "plans" of work, why not?
Really, good ideia. Try to make this too, just search and you will find how to do; and thx for the thumbs, I appreciate!
Afgerak Dec 12, 2012 @ 11:52pm
Hmm, how many mana cost for each cast? I can see myself obsessively casting it until I got the good enough batch of arrow.....not iron/steal/orc/dwarven.
Michael Dec 12, 2012 @ 11:50pm
In the edited script I sent the author, I reversed the order for the arrows, so it would use up all of your iron arrows before transmuting the next level up. I guess we are still waiting for him to update it. That was about 2 days ago.
MikeOxabigun Dec 12, 2012 @ 8:49pm
I don't even know if this is possible, but if you could THEN take two iron swords, one that has frost and one that has fire enchants.. and you have high enough enchanting for dual enchants.. the NEW weapon would have both enchants with power based on your enchanting on them... anyway... I wish I could make mods XD
MikeOxabigun Dec 12, 2012 @ 8:48pm
I'm a huge immersion junky and this seems like it will be VERY cool for my next character who will be a mildly magical wood elf huntsman. Though I can already do this similary with smithing mods, I LOVE that there is a "magical" way to do stuff like this. ANOTHER cool idea would be to do the SAME thing with weapons!! Make it use a VAST ammount of mana for stuff like glass or higher etc.. but be able to magically "meld" two iron swords together to make one steel sword. Then people could use other mods to "haha" melt THAT steel down to craft other stuff and ZOMG I have always had a thing for transmutation haha.. anyway, I'm not going to install this just yet on my current charcter, but I'm going to thumbs up and faovrite for sure.. Awesome Idea!
Ninja Monkey Dec 12, 2012 @ 8:21pm
Finaly, a use for all the Iron and Steel arrows i get off all the bandits!
Verry Usfull Mod :D
Vitri  [author] Dec 12, 2012 @ 5:36pm
Finished guys, I made this modifications:
- Check if the player have 24x Steel Arrow.
- If not, check if he have 24x Ancient Nord Arrow.

The both will be turn to 12x Dwarven Arrow. The people ask me to put them, when transmuted, to 12x Steel Arrow, but sincerely why transmute a arrow that have 10 damage to another that have the same hit point? The only difference of them is the prices; the Steel is 2 golds, and the Ancient is 1 gold, but not big deal. So, if you like this ideia, I update the mod. Just put here (No precipitate decisions).

Appetite for Destruction

ok, thanks. didn't think of that lol
Vitri  [author] Dec 12, 2012 @ 2:39pm
Drizzt

If I do that, the spell will be overpower... A little trick that I can say to you is, drop all your arrows and keep the arrow that you want to transmute, when he reach the 24x, drop them and make this all again... so, you will be only that kind of arrow that you want; got it?
grim5000 Dec 12, 2012 @ 1:51pm
can you make it so that it does it going from the lowest level arrow, such as all your iron ones, untill you run out, since i have a crap ton of theose and only really want steel, maybe orcish at my level, and don't want to wind up with no arrows at the deadric level
Jdren18 Dec 12, 2012 @ 9:49am
i think, check Iron > Steel
then Nord > Steel
then Steel > Orcish.... etc.
Vitri  [author] Dec 12, 2012 @ 7:04am
Frog Bite

Wow, I forget about that dude, maybe I do this in separated mod, 'cause this mod can be acessed by any player that have just the Skyrim, no requiring the DLC. But thx for the tip!

Matsezinado

Yeap, is Dawnguard DLC that have this arrow... I gonna do another mod, for bolts and Dragonbone Arrows, like I said before this mod is for everyone that have Skyrim, not the DLC.

Jdren18

Understood now hehe, thx dude. I gonna work in this right now, since a lot people think this is cool idea (And since, admiting, I have a lot Ancient Nord Arrows too =D )

Thx for all the comments guys; keep doing it!
BananaRiff Dec 12, 2012 @ 5:55am
what about the dragonbone arrows
Jdren18 Dec 12, 2012 @ 4:24am
Apetite for Destruction

-={EWo}=- TurtleDude and I are both suggesting put them at the bottom of the order and convert them to steel arrows first. they are worthless as 24 Ancient Nord Arrows and as 12 Steel Arrows they are probably worth more

ps as Stelzare says aswell..
Frog Bite Dec 12, 2012 @ 2:31am
Can you make a dawnguard vision that does bolts, i know that may be alot to ask but wiuld be awesome if you did
The G Mann Dec 11, 2012 @ 11:14pm
Appetite for Destruction

I think he meant that since Nord = Steel, the Nord arrows should just transmute into Steel for easier upgrading. In other words, he wants to stockpile Steel arrows before he upgrades them.
*unhollows your ween* Dec 11, 2012 @ 10:08pm
Downloaded this mod then remebered that yesterday I throw out all my crap arrows FACEPALM!
Vitri  [author] Dec 11, 2012 @ 7:59pm
-={EWo}=- TurtleDude

Sorry dude, I really don't picked up what you meant... once more, shall we?
Jdren18 Dec 11, 2012 @ 5:56pm
Yeah i understand,

it was just that i have like 200 ancient arrows (just aqquired more in the last hour) and becasue they are literally worthless was just wondering if there was a chance..

even if they are converted into steel first (that way they are probably worth more as 12 steel than 24 ancient nord)

but thank you
Vitri  [author] Dec 11, 2012 @ 4:02pm
Jdren18

Unfortunately the Ancient Nord Arrows has the same damage as the Steel Arrows, maybe is not a good idea place it in the mod. But I've been thinking about doing something like this:

Checks if the player have 24 Steel Arrows. If not, checks if he have 24 Ancient Nord Arrows. If not, continue the comparisons.

With that, the both Arrows will end or transmuting to 12x Orcish Arrows or passing for other comparisons. Got it? I will make some tests, but no guaranteed that will have a update for this.
Jdren18 Dec 11, 2012 @ 3:35pm
any chance of adding ancient nord arrows.. due to my immense cave dwelling i ahve picked up a rather large number of them and would quite like to waste timr upgrading them to something useful.. as mentioned before it seems you ahve done a very good job balancing this;. well done
Vitri  [author] Dec 11, 2012 @ 6:45am
seinor poulo

Lol, you need to be more careful dude. Yes, the book is not going to respawn, I made this to the players are unable to stealing and selling it all the time. What you can do is drop the book directly in your inventory; read the session "Come on, I just want the book!" in the description, explains how to get there. If you do not understand, let me know here!
Shader Dec 11, 2012 @ 6:13am
The changes look great, very streamlined solution. Thanks a lot!
Tea Dec 10, 2012 @ 9:58pm
i got arrested soon after getting the book, and cant spawn one in =/.
Vitri  [author] Dec 10, 2012 @ 2:42pm
I did another update, but just for check if I upload the script correctly! Nothing change!
Vitri  [author] Dec 10, 2012 @ 1:19pm
wolfman1911

Thank you wolfman! Yeap, the beginners will not found that magic very useful, but they will find a lot arrows in the adventure, so later will be a useful tool. Hey, any suggestion, I here!

Michael

Thx for the script friend. I will analyzes it and see how it behaves in certain situations. If everything is OK, I ask here for players if they are in agreement with what will change with this script. Thanks a lot!
