Hello admin.
I understand you removed the ability for Tanya to find a religion, but do you know if its possible to still somehow obtain a religion with her andwin a religious victory despite not being able to find one on her own?

To be honest, my friends and I feel that Tanya is still relatively weak. How about a proper enhancement? This mod is really great.:steamthumbsup:

Here: Imperial Mage/Elite Imperial Mage warrior model bug fix:

also note - additional changes for flavor:
-Mages now uses barbarian infantry style (They look way better and fit the "german feel" of this mod)
-Imperial Mages now consist of 8 unit infantry
-Elite Imperial Mages now has 2 FEMALE spy model + 14 barbarian infantry model
(Game lacks any female model, the best I could use was the spy one)
-both has a scale of 0.7 (To match RED, if you dont use RED, it's still fine because setting them to 1 makes them too big to fit on a tile)

with this file, they no longer will use warrior models:

Die Elite Zauberer sollten den Skin der "Modernen Panzerabwehr"-Einheit haben. Den im Anime schießen diese auch Hauptsächlich mit Artillerie Zauber auf die Gegner :deadweight:

I really like your mod! Is there the possibility to change the colour of tanya´s civ to black gold or black red aswell? i think it would look much better. the black and red looks so good :D red yellow just looks like spain.

Been busy with classes, so I have not made much progress. And I still don't have Rise and Fall, so I don't really know where to even look for issues.

There's a problem somewhere in the artdef, which I've been unable to find. At some point I'll have to redo the whole file most likely to fix it.

It must be some kind of mod conflict or bug, but the imperial mages look like warriors on my client as well. Maybe it's connected to a dlc I don't have?

I was testing these two at Modern start originally, I realized something on an earlier era start (And I'm not sure if it was an oversight). But it seems like Upgrading Musketmen to Elite Imperial Mages cost only 10g, much less than I expected. Especially considering that they are much better than Infantry. I've not checked Hans from an earlier start to see the upgrade costs of his Imperial Mage.

After playing with Hans von Zettour his Leader Trait seems a little powerful. The combination of giving food and production makes it really easy for to build tall cities with multiple districts. Giving it some thought there are some possible suggestions I have been thinking of.

Making the Leader Trait as it Apply its bonus only to the City Center (May even go as far as adding +2 gold per turn if so).

Making the Leader Trait add +2 (district specific) bonus, +1 Gold (to offset maintaining the district). i.e. City Center +1 Food +1 Production +1 Gold, Faith District +2 faith +1 Gold

The first suggestion would likely be simpler to code in and is a flat bonus that scales with the number of cities. Something that would "feel" to benefit greater from a Logistical Genius.

The second suggestion would likely be more difficult to code. However it would keep the "feel" of the Logistic Genius by "enhancing" the capabilities of the districts by making them more "efficent". Making this leader more adaptive to multiple play styles and victory types rather than the simpler solution above.

I've been having a real blast playing as Tanya with the changes. It makes me laugh really hard every time I start getting praised by the AI for having so much faith, it makes me think of how pissed it must be making Tanya feel inside.

Going by their anime/LN traits they are a mix between air and land units. I figured they would be more enjoyable to use as land units since air units have high restrictions in Civ that Mages didn't have in either the anime or LN.

@Novalice I was thinking about kind of just changing the leader trait in general. Probably to increasing gold income in general instead, though I prefer a more aggressive trait so we'll see. And I may add in removing the ability to create a religion, I like that.

And yeah, I was considering the hating religious AI, as well as warmongers, but at the same time giving her preferences for a large military.

As for the unique unit, I was going to do several of the nations from Youjo Senki and have each use a slightly different version of the Mages, so I probably won't make it only available via faith, but I may make it an option.

Anyways, I'll play around with it and keep testing to see how it works. Thanks for the input. :)

I would have thought, considering the whole Being-X theme in the anime. That instead of getting Gold for victories over enemy units, that this leader would gain 'Faith' and that the Mage Corp could be a unique unit that can be (or might only be) purchased via Faith. As in the Anime the whole purpose the reincarnation is a struggle to deny a 'God' like being, yet ultimately being forced into 'Faith' in order to access the power needed to survive.

As for the AI of this leader, it could hate other Leaders who have a High Faith income. Fitting the theme of the anime where she constantly wants to fight against Being-X.

Might even go so far as to disable the ability for this Civilization from founding a religion of its own.

So maybe change out the Gold from Kills and make it add Faith from kills.
