The War Mongrels faction has all the outfits, you craft a vodka bench and the familiar GORKA 4, KS6 and MASKA-1 helmet returns with other Serbian themed gear.

Few examples of scrapped gear:

- Alpha Group gear (Just lazy done during the time, reused textures in black and white)
- Flecktarn (inaccurate, RU never used this.)
- Heavy armor vest (it's in the US Military kit, maybe I'll make an RU version but the old textures are gone)
- Armored Parka (I don't like the old textures, there's already too much of them for US Military kit.)
- Kapkan gear (This is because the headgear is too large and the armor is wrongly placed. I might not make a new version, depending on whoever the heck misses kapkan)

When War Mongrels are uploaded in Steam Workshop, along with multiple other factions (from Project: Red Horse: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=40519.0) then the GORKA 4 and other spetsnaz gear will be available in that mod.

Plans for "Russian Military Kit" have been scrapped, too much work for me, I'm more interested in factions, instead it will be "Slav Military Kit" and it will feature a RATNIK (which isn't started yet) and the current gear made, some Serbian, used by War Mongrels.

There will still be Russian Military but not all of their branches, only Spetsnaz and Russian Army, then the rest are other Slav gear, such as the outdated Serb M93 gear and soviet stuff like GP5 gasmask.

So for updates, the GORKA 4 and K63 helmets are returning, but unfortunately I have decided to scrap many of the gear in this mod including the armored parka and the heavy armor vest because I feel they're not on par with the new textures, and these two variants appear differently in the US Military kit with updated textures.

The GORKA 4 and K63 helmets will be used by the re-worked War Mongrels, including some modern Russian gear such as the 6B7 helmet and 6B23 vest, which I did some research on for accuracy.

This was an old post, there's finished textures for old Serbian M93 camo, old 6B23 Russian body armor, GP5 gasmasks, 6B7 helmets with M93 camo covers and other stuff planned.

Hello comrades. I have been away and this is a reply to the requests for this mod to be updated.

Right now, some gear from this mod will return and be added through a new Slavic faction, GORKA 4 has new textures, KS6 helmet returns too.

The GORKA 4 flecktarn doesn't actually exist and I didn't know this before, so that will no longer exist. The armors including the juggernaut suit will also be removed, maybe will have an updated look in an entirely new Russian military kit with Ratnik and VDV Ruski Ruski uniforms.

In the Slavic faction, there will be vodka and Russian MREs, I'm probably gonna make the food lootable or market only since I don't know how Vodka is made, and I believe Russia has special slavic cabbages they use for MREs that aren't available for Rimworld. Anyways, there are textures done, but the mods will be finished when I get more important things out of the way.

Thanks for waiting folks. It will come out in a month or two, hopefully less.

@Saeko I've done balancing for all the mods, significantly reduced heat protection and blunt for all of them, the heavy armor at most has about 5% more sharp protection than power armor but it has less durability and massive movement penalties. Hopefully that's balanced enough

Love the style!

But i uninstall it because the armors are way too strong, better than the power armor of rimworld.

If you want to nerf it, maybe use the same armor as the power armor for the heavy and kevlar for the other.


Or maybe can you create a reskin for the armor of rimworld with it ?

Apparently the invisibility is only in prepare carefully, in-game I get texture errors like in Freaky's picture below.

There's an error when it tries to load the textures for the armored parka and it's helmet, "Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at Things/Apparel/Aparka in any active mod or in base resources", so they just appear invisible.

@Chicken - Any plans to revamp the Spetz helmet into a more appropriate model? While I *love* the plate carrier/vest and the Gorka, I find the sallet is a poor substitute for a Maska or an Altyn. But other than that, I love this mod so far, Chicken Fucker. Soon my dreams of playing as Tachanka in *every* game will be a reality.

Hello everyone, I'm leaving this message as an announcement for all of my military kit mods, I will be overhauling the SAS armors so they are no longer one piece and have plans to nerf every armor because they are too bullet proof and are often times more durable than power armor.

I will also make the helmets and armor vests craftable at machining table only since I don't personally like the fact that they change colors depending on material.

If anybody at all objects to making the armors and helmets non-colorable then let me know and I will consider leaving it alone. Cheers all!
