The Empty button doesn't work for me on this, it just doesn't respond when clicked. Also Waste Processing Facilities don't pick up from this (for me) even though they do pick up from regular landfills and workshop landfills. So eventually it just fills up and I have to delete or reset it with Move It. I can try to figure out if a mod is doing it but since it's only this asset for me I'm hoping someone else is seeing the same thing...

Just discovered these and subscribed to them for my next build. Hope they still work after all these years as this will be a great way to not only replicate small town services but also airport, collage & industrial campus services too.

Your mod enabled me to organize the whole fire, EMS and police system just like in real life. Thanks for that!

@Don Redhorse I completely forgot to check on that, but I don't have time to do so right now. As for Quiboid, I missed their comment, I am fine with them uploading those assets.
It should be possible to do Tram and Monorail depots using the same idea, but I don't have time to get those working.

somebody said that the garbage garage didn't work and you wanted to check it. Also @Quiboid did do a bus and taxi version and asked if you where ok to upload it. I think the Tram, Monorail would also be viable, to create easy custom Depots... don't know if that is possible though.

@Don Redhorse What garbage issue are you referring to? I haven't gone through the effort of adding new services, since I don't think there are really any other ones that make sense in the form factor.

@vasimr22 Would you reconsider adding garages for the other services (taxi, bus, road maintenance, snow removal, deathcare, disaster relief, etc), and also higher-capacity variants? I know you originally had services for a small island in mind, but I find your assets very useful to basically convert any building to a service one - it adds variety instead of always using the same service assets, especially when used along props. It's also useful to add additional services to an existing service building where they would be relevant (e.g. add an ambulance to a fire station, or eventually a morgue to an hospital). I would have done it myself already but the mod tools that allow changing a building's type seem to be broken at the moment.

This is a really good idea. I've been grabbing any small service buildings I can because I like making small villages and islands, but that limits my selection a lot. Now I can use any generic looking building.

I have made taxi and bus versions of this, do you mind if I upload them (giving you credit for the idea and art)? I use them for special routes, like a minibus shuttle service between a ferry port and a tourist attraction on an island.

@AngerIsAnEnergy I will play around with it when I have time. It's possible that setting the values to 0 somehow broke the emptying functionality... I will post an update via comment if I fix it / find a solution.

@Froggy_NL A taxi one wouldn't make sense, and neither would a bus one. Almost all taxi / bus companies will have depots... the only reason for creating these assets were for small islands, which wouldn't have taxis or buses. I do have an "empty" bus depot asset as part of my airport service vehicle pack, which has no mesh, and will serve the same role as a garage based bused depot.

@Vasmir22 - no, the garbage didn't reduce at all. I waited a couple of in-game weeks. There were no vehicles available in the garage ('cos it was full) and the empty building button was having no effect.
I have since rebuilt another garbage garage in a different part of town really close to waste disposal facility and, once again, the garage fills up and stops operating. There is plenty of garbage facility in the city, both standard landfill, incinerators from CO and a recycling plant and biogas reclaim from Avanya (I think). The landfills can empty as normal. Your garage don't empty.

Maybe I'll try the garage via a custom asset?

@AngerIsAnEnergy Did you notice the accumulation going down when you placed another garbage asset near it? This building is based on the incinerator template, so it should remove garbage... perhaps you needed more to handle the capacity.

@Vasmir22 - I like these but have a problem with the garbage garage in that it does accumulate garbage and needs emptying - however, the empty building button won't work for me. At first I thought it might be that I didn't have anywhere else to empty to so built an incinerator nearby. But the button don't work. After this, I demolished the garage and built a new one in the same place, in the hope that this garage would identify that there was somewhere to empty to. It didn't though and is full again, and the empty building button don't work.
All the other garages are great though. Nice idea.

@alborzka I did think about that before, but I have a strong feeling that it wouldn't work. It may require a mod to change the asset AI at load time. Also, the props may not work in that position.

ahh I see, yeah true I haven't tried making mixed-use with actual service buildings so idk if that'd work. Re: info panel, I use the sub building tabs mod which adds a tab on the info panel for each sub building (super helpful in case you don't have it!) but yea that's a mod so idk. Anyway still great work as always!

(btw, irrelevant question here -- what about using helicopter template from natural disasters for making small planes? Could work for the propellers and also for sound issues? I don't have ND so idk if that would work or not tho, and idk about their landing behaviour, plus I'm sure you've already thought of that before :p)

@FAILZORD This isn't a 4 in 1 deal. It's 4 assets uploaded as one (instead of uploading them one at a time). So when you subscribe it will show up as 4 assets in the content manager, and it will show up as 4 assets in the game (one in each category). Each asset can only do one thing, hence why there are 4 of them.

I think what Kombat is trying to mean a building as a Fire responder garage and a an EMS garage. Both are seperate, they just specialise in the one item, instead of your 4 in 1 deal.

@alborzka There are three problems with that idea....
1) you would still need a small building to function as your service building (e.g. the ones in this set)
2) Universities and Leasure buildings are not responsible for spawning vehicles, so It's possible that making a sub-building with service assets could end up breaking those assets
3) The info pannel will probably only display the info for the base building (the one you added all of the sub-buildings to). So you would not be able to see all of the relevant stats for the service buildings, and you would most likely not be able to use the service vehicle selector mod with it...

Using sub-buildings you can indeed make combined use buildings, I have one with office as main building and leisure and university as sub buildings. I made the university function ttnrough asset editor he same way you'd make a service building function so I think it's possible :0
