THE DEFEND UPDATE
Universal Combat Changes
Skip Turn is now replaced by Defend.
  • All classes now innately has "Replace Skip Turn: Defend" passive.
  • Defend reduces physical and magical damage taken by 20%.
  • The effect of Defend wears off the next turn.
  • There is no cooldown or requirement on using Defend, and can be used at any time.
  • Note from Dawnsii: This was added to address the lack of mitigation certain teams may have, and the general fragility that DPS/Mages/Healers suffer from, and so we added an easy to use and accessible way to face damage without it being too good that it makes mitigation like Defend/Resist Up useless. This should make certain encounters less frustrating by giving everyone a tool to possibly make what should've been a guaranteed instant kill into a survivable situation.
All classes now have take 50% less critical damage.
  • This effect is hidden and not listed on any of the classes' innate passives.
  • Note from Dawnsii: Random spikes of critical damage, especially from mini-boss/boss encounters that posses multi-target skills/are extremely fast can be extremely frustrating when fights that were winnable are turned into an instant loss. This does not remove critical hits, but instead help deal with them by significantly reducing how much critical hits can spike.

Survivalist Rework
Survivalist, while a fun class, was avoided or annoyed many players due to the fact it was introduced in the early game which ate away at the tight money economy by consuming consumables, and was deemed a class "only useful when preparing before a boss fight." Survivalist has now been reworked to make it no longer consume consumables, only requiring them to be in your inventory for their equivalent skills to work, and make it more viable as a main healer without resorting to Chemist-level of overpowered.
  • Survivalist now has a new reworked innate passive, Selfless, which increases all healing given by 25%, but all healing received are reduced by 50%. This innate passive also allows the user to use the ability Force Feed. (Info about Force Feed is later down this list.)
  • All Survivalist abilities now apply "Full Belly", a status that prevents the healed target from being healed by the Survivalist's abilities until it expires. The stronger the ability recovers/revives, the longer Full Belly lasts on the target.
  • Survivalist has a new move called Force Feed, which is an ability that can only be used if the main class is Survivalist, it is a 2CD ability that does not consume the turn, and it cleanses the Fully Belly status from a single ally.
  • Kebab, Chicken Leg and Grilled Steak now has zero CD.

Miscellaneous Changes
Ability descriptions have been shortened and simplified.
  • Note from Dawnsii: While Crystal Project's too descriptive and long ability descriptions are helpful for new players, the people playing this mod should already have experience with the game and have no need for longer descriptions.
Astley dialogue has been changed.
  • Note from Dawnsii: I was slightly unhappy with how Astley was handled with Demo 1, and I hope this may improve her just a little bit.
