The newest update is out!

Aside from a few small text fixes, the new version of the Rulebook with some updated text is included.

In addition, Matilda's Rage has been updated:
"Cleanse all afflictions from your hand, then discard your entire hand except 1 card. While this card is active, increase all damage you deal by an amount equal to your Rage. If you deal damage while this card is active, reduce your rage to 0."

Update: Apr 9, 2024 @ 6:42pm

The newest update is out! The major changes are as follows:

Spinel:
Pounce - Damage Reduced to 2 (was 3)
Rend - Damage Reduced to 3 (was 4)
Thunderclap - Now reduces damage received by 1 while active (previously increased other players' damage)
Eye of the Storm - Now increases other players' damage by 1 while active (previously lowered damage received by Spinel)
Spinel was overperforming a little; these changes are designed to help bring them down a little so that they aren't a superior option to having an actual player.

Lazuli:
Refresh - Now also deals 2 damage to all enemies in range.
Waverider - Damage increased by 2
Lazuli was underperforming, and having cards that deal no damage for an Attacker was not ideal. This should bring them up closer on par with Spinel.

Altheia:
Pyroclasmos: Now has a damage cap of 9.
Altheia had an unintended interaction with Colossus where she could do far more damage than intended; this is to fix that while still leaving the card good in situations it's intended to shine.

Flint:
Walk the Plank - Now correctly displayed as a Cast

Matilda:
Berserk - Now cleanses debuffs and just raises damage dealt by 3 at the cost of dumping her whole hand.
Brutal Cleave- Reworked. [Cleanse up to 1 Affliction from you hand, you may discard any number of cards, then deal 2 damage to an enemy in range. If you have no cards in hand, you may spent 1 Rage to deal 4 damage instead.]
The reworked Berserk was too good in combos with Titanic Cleave, and Brutal Cleave let Matilda get too much damage if she held it to the end of her deck. These changes should bring her back down to where we want her damage.

Hoskur:
Reclaimer - New Armament Part effect: [Discard one card from your hand; this effect becomes that card's core, frame, or armanent effect.]
This card was pretty bad and rarely saw use. This new effect should make it much more versatile, and also prevent Hoskur from having Armaments that just cannot deal damage.

Solomon:
Arcane Balance now discards itself after use, whether you find a target or not.
Arcane Balance being able to search a Quick but not letting you use it made it limited in use. This should make it a much more useful card.

Colossus:
- No longer refers to Crystal Walls on its cards anymore.

Maltheus:
- Has now been allowed to actually perform Necromancy. Skeletons may now spawn in Phase 1.

Misc:
- Fixed missing snap points on the board

Update: Mar 31, 2024 @ 5:09pm

- Matilda - REWORK! Matilda has been given a mini rework. While she still features her Rage meter, it can no longer be spent to generically increase damage dealt or reduce damage received; partially because this wasn't being used much anyway, and partially because it made her feel quite similar to Unil.
Matilda's new rework focuses on her generating Rage primarily from using her regular attacks, and spending it to enhance her Quick cards or her powerful Threat attacks. Most of her cards have been affected in some manner or another, so I won't liste them all here. Let us know what you think about her new gameplay feel!
The rules reminder text on her board has been adjusted accordingly.

- Matilda now has a Battle High token that spawns on her board when you select her, covering up the 11 and 12 on her HP bar to make it clearer that her Max HP doesn't start at 12.

- The Character select buttons now have scripting to account for situations when they're being clicked by a player who isn't Red, Green, Blue or Yellow; so rather than spitting out an error message, they tell you to pick a seat.

- All cards have been regenerated because the borders looked too dim after lightening the text boxes.

- Several minor text fixes for typos and improving the language on certain cards to make them easier to understand.

Update: Mar 28, 2024 @ 9:54pm

- The Target Marker bag has been locked in place to stop it from attempting to flee to Narnia upon load.

- All cards have been regenerated with less saturated text boxes to improve readability.

- Emli: All of her Loot cards have had their language adjusted to make understanding how to use them clearer.

- Emli: All of her cards that have improved effects upon discarding loot have had the language adjusted to make it clearer that the discard is a separate, additional cost, and not just a combo for using the loot at the same time.

- Hoskur: Grapple Launcher has been changed so that you cannot repeatedly pull the boss into your space.

- Hoskur: Proof of Concept has been completely reworked. It now allows you to fill every open slot on your Construct by pulling cards from the top of your deck.

- Matilda: Deep Breath has been renamed Shake It Off (as Dusk had a card by the same name), and no longer reduces your Rage upon use.

- Matilda: Momentary Pause no longer reduces your Rage upon use.

- Solomon: Converge now allows Solomon to either move himself to the Conflux, or the Conflux to himself.

- Corrected several typos and text errors.

Small update... Except not so small!

- The size of the board and all boss tiles has been increased by 10% to make it easier to fit multiple entities into a square

- Siobhan's Swamp Tiles and the Target Marker are now circular Cards instead of Tokens to make them flatter; this should prevent issues where characters fall over if they're on the edge of one.

- Scripting removed from the non-phase cards to make updating easier

Our first 'official' update for Final Encounter is live!

The major changes are as follows:

Tiles now have multiple states to represent the different sides, rather than being flipable.

Hoskur: Mechcalibur now disables the effect of any other Armament parts when it is used.
Dusk: Deep Breath now applies a damage buff per-shot, instead of being just a flat +1. Snipe Shot and Eventide are no longer Casts.
Altheia: Hydrodeimos now has a cap of four on how many cards can be drawn for killing minions with it.
Agate: Terrestrial Hibernation now only prevents him being affected by enemy cards, not other players'.

Colossus: Gemstone Pummel no longer erroneously refers to "Stun"
Maltheus: Maltheus' cards in Phase 1 now flip the Crypt closest to the Threat, rather than at random.

Several other typos have also been corrected.
