Project Eden 2:
Creative mode:
  • Added new platform to build on to Akua near the starting location. (Thanks to jrandall, new save games only).
  • Added teleporter from the Akua creative library to a new hidden blank canvas moon. (new save games only)

Misc:
  • Updated beam effects for manual ice and rich asteroid CV drills.
  • Revamped beam effects for handheld survival tool, multitool, and laser drills to give each mode and tool tier a unique beam visual.
  • Added new tracer effects for gatling turrets.
  • Removed Decay region and Ancient Progenitor territory until it can be reworked in a future update. Hid the Dyson Sphere system from the map. (new save games only)
  • Added shuttle deco blocks for sale at Trade Federation orbital trading stations for player use.

  • Fixed HP of Artillery Turrets retractable vs non-retractable versions.
  • Fixed self-destruction of the bosses in the Legacy Corruptor and Conflagrator when hit with HE rockets caused by explosions passing through the boss into the protected interior.
  • Disabled Ballistic trajectories on artillery shells since as of the latest vanilla update, they are no longer falling in the correct trajectory.

Project Eden 2:
Ongoing updates for Legacy:
Updates for the Legacy faction and the Sea of Silence region. Some of these updates will need either a PDA update or a new save game to apply.
This is all work in progress. Balance, progression, and rewards are not final. Missions and unique rewards are planned.
Please let me know what you think of it so far. This contains several experimental changes that may or may not work properly.
  • Disabled structural integrity for Legacy main POIs so they don't randomly collapse. (new star systems only)
  • Added 2 extra empty star systems near The Bulwark to prevent situations where you cannot reach the Sea of Silence without a lot of navigational data upgrades.
  • Added 2 variations of Phages.
  • Added new variant of Dendritic Cellula. (Division requires PDA update)
  • Removed drones from the playfield configs for Legacy patrol vessels in the Legacy Nexus combat site.

      Misc:
    • Added new vanilla BarrenTemperate and MoonDesertCanyon to the random planet generator.
    • Updated Empyriopedia. Added new sections on Core Upgrades and Data Cores. Updated section on Quantum Processors to remove note on dropping from Zirax. Updated section on Mass Based Max Speed Penalty to reference new behavior in latest game update.
    • Added 2 extra generators to Zirax freighters so they don't lose power when you destroy the rear thrusters.
    • Added new Colonists orbital trading station Trading Outpost.
    • Added a chance for Colonist trading stations to appear in habitable and gas giant orbits.
    • Removed medical bays from 2 of the Mining Foreman ships so people don't get stuck in them.
    • Added new Tesch minor galactic region of Experimuntus near Polaris territory with star types and Barren planets for the updated Tesch faction. Tesch does not have their own faction territory, just look for the region label in the galaxy map. (New saves only)
    • Slightly reduced number of enemies spawned during boss fight in Derelict Station. Slightly increased time between waves. Added a few cargo boxes as cover. (new saves only)
    • Reduced damage of Broodlings from 75 to 40. They never had their damage reduced to account for the double damage the player takes.
    • Slightly reduced health of infected soldiers used in Derelict Station. Slightly reduced damage of Infected Zirax used in Derelict Station.
    • Updated Project Eden CV turrets and tooltips for latest RG2 changes.
    • Misc fixes.

    Reforged Galaxy 2:
    • Updated Shield Penetration on Tooltips.
    • Updated CV Turret tooltips to show in-atmo use.
    • Increased drop chance of Data Cores from Quantum Computers.
    • Updated Ghyst Military Bunker to replace the fixed weapon software drops in the quantum computer with data cores and replace the space-variant POI laser turrets with planet variants.
    • Increased the radiation protection of the Titan Armor by 1, and O2 capacity to 100; slightly increased acceleration and gave it the ability to high jump (actual jump, not from the jetpack).
    • Reduced degradation of SMGs
    • Increased CV Heavy Laser accuracy by 0.0334
    • Changed weapon class for Interceptors, which should (in theory) prevent them from bailing out when attacking since they're no longer needing to adjust their movement to account for a moving target.
    • Reduced the volume of Positron Accumulators by 25%.
    • Increased the turret rotation speed of player Flak turrets by 30d/s
    • Increased the Projectile Speeds of CV Cannon Shells.
    • Adjusted damage exchange between CVs and ground POIs.

    Project Eden 2:
    Misc:
    • Increased CPU of small and large auxiliary CPU extenders to match the RG2 CPU changes.
    • Reduced shield penetration of POI nova and drone swarm missile turrets from 15% to 10%.
    • Added new planet-based POI turret material to Project Eden CV weapon damage multipliers for RG2 compatibility.
    • Made adjustments to Zirax planetary patrol vessels. Generally easy to medium planets will now have lower tier patrol vessels compared to before, while patrol vessels were added to harder planets that lacked them before.
    • Temporarily removed planet wide patrol vessels from Legacy Infected class planets to facilitate testing of POIs. Patrol vessels on Legacy Desert planets are left as-is. These will be added back once dedicated planet versions of Legacy patrol vessels are made.
    • Removed entries for gold deposits on Akua, Tallodar, Ningues, Omicron, and Roggery. They weren't actually supposed to have gold deposits and some of them were set to a count of 0-1 which caused confusion on the map.
    • Lowered playfield level of the Derelict Station from 2-2 to 1-1. This should lower the level of the NPCs on the station to level 1 and make the experience more consistent.
    • Reduced speed of PDA spawned Legacy Phages from 100 to 90 to allow people to catch up to them. (SP games require pda update)
    • Misc fixes.

    Reforged Galaxy 2:
    Changelog:
    • Fixed issue where the Storage Technician crewmember wasn't applying the set amount of storage capacity because of hardcoded block dimension=capacity calculations.
    • New destruction animation for when destroying spawners, replacing the vanilla blue rising flash.
    • Added new material for planet-based POI turrets for correct CV-vs-Ground POI damage differentiation.
    • Added new materials for Legacy and Mecha bosses so that handheld weapon bonuses are applied to bosses as creatures instead of blocks.
    • Updated the unused Orange Dome Turret into the Tesch Blaster Turret. Turret is retrievable and reusable... when I add a few Tesch POIs.
    • Doubled the damage of player sentry guns against ground enemies.
    • Reduced the shield recharge delay on HV shield generators.
    • Reduced the CPU consumption on the larger SV thrusters
    • Increased the 2x5 HV thruster's thrust.
    • Replaced Weapon Software drops with Data Core component.
    • Data Cores can be used to craft Advanced Cores.
    • Upgrade Terminal is no longer functional due to issues with the game code. It can be accessed as a deco console.
      Upgrades from weapon software were not being applied to ships, resulting in no bonuses. This requires eleon to fix, but they won't. So it's deco until they fix it.
    • Fixed issue where getting too cold, then too warm caused Stun effect.
    • Fixed CV Light Plasma Turrets not being able to fire on planets.
    • Added a few new Tesch POIs, since i'm burned out on building Legacy POIs for now.
    • Added 3 new Tesch Bots that will be the mainstay for Tesch troops.
    • Added a smaller version of the Mechatank.
    • Reduced magmacite construction costs of Heavy railgun ammunition by 50%.
    • CV Artillery and Plasma Artillery turret shells will despawn at maximum range instead of falling in atmo.
    • Fire status' damage per second reduced by 50%; fire duration doubled. You now have twice as long to act when you spontaneously combust.
    • Bugfixes
    Easy-Mode Update:
    • Removed Shield Penetration from most enemy and player weapons.
      Player Railguns and Positrons keep their shield penetration; Flak's penetration is reduced; Legacy Disruptors keep their penetration; Deviators lose theirs.
    • Reduced the rate of fire of planet-based POI turrets by roughly 25% or reduced damage so that ground turrets do 25% less DPM.
    • Increased Large Carbon Blocks' mass from 300kg to 500kg (half of steel)
    • Reduced Shield Delay after being hit to faster-than-vanilla values. This also applies to AI shields, so they will start to recharge after hitting them.
    • Increased the minimum number of Quantum Processors in Abandoned POI Bioboxes to 2.
    • Increased the minimum number of Quantum Processors in Zirax Quantum Computers to 2.
    • Increased the input and output of some ammunition components which will shorten the crafting times of some ammunitions in long production chains.
    • CV Tool Turrets can now repair, retrieve and salvage on planets.
    • Increased the amount of CPU from extenders for HV, SV and CV.
    • Reduced the crafting cost of tiered weapons and thrusters.
    • Removed group limiter for shield generators so they should be upgradeable with the multitool. If you place multiple shield generators now, it's your own fault for terrible performance.
    • Increased weight capacity of HV Hover Engines.
    • Fixed the magenta quantum computers on Imerat-Class Destroyers and made their thrusters less-safe to chain explosions.

    • Added playfields and POIs for the next expedition mission Sea of Silence. Some of these POIs are not yet complete and neither is the mission, however this should future proof it such that any save game started with this update should be able to complete the mission once it becomes available.
    • Added new mission Expedition: Sea of Silence. This mission will show up in your PDA but will not be activatable yet as it's not yet ready. It will be enabled in a future update once it's done.
      The new expedition mission will not be completable in any save game that was started in build 25 or earlier. Only save games started in build 26 or later will be able to do it once it's added.
    • Reduced playfield drone spawns for some POIs on legacy planets.

    Changes to magmacite:
    Several changes have been made to magmacite. The end result of this is that you will get an average of 4x the magmacite ingots per magmacite formation you mine out compared to before.
    • Increased number of magmacite nodules in magmacite formations by 3x-4x. Reduced gold and diamond yield to compensate.
    • Increased magmacite ore dropped from each nodule from 2-4 to 4-8.
    • Deleted old magmacite prefabs as they were replaced with new RE2 versions. This may cause planets that had already been generated previous to this update but not yet visited to not spawn any magmacite formations.
    • Added magmacite to cracked lava moons and molten lava moons and updated Empyriopedia entry.
    • Increased health of magmacite nodules from 1000 to 5000. They will now take 2 hits from a full set of SV laser drills to mine.

    Misc:
    • Various tweaks to increase the time between base attacks. On average there should be an extra game day or two between attacks compared to before this change. Also changed TargetBaseStrengthToPriceMultiplier from 0.05 to 0.025 so attacks scale less with the strenght of your base. MinimalBaseStrength increased from 50 to 75. Hopefully these changes help reduce the strength and frequency of base attacks.
      Please note: Much of the behavior of base attacks is HARD CODED. They were already configured them to be far easier than the vanilla settings before these latest changes, with base attacks happening at half the frequency, at 2/3rds the strength, and with half the base strength multiplier compared to vanilla. These changes now make them even easier than before.

    • Increased blast radius of torpedoes fired from MX-4 Rapid Torpedo Launcher from 3 to 4. Increased range from 950 to 965.
    • Updated commodity icons in the Empyriopedia. Re-arranged some sections slightly to make some links more visible as people were having trouble finding the section that had them. (requires pda update)
    • Enabled most Project Eden light and medium CV turrets on planets as part of the RG2 experiment. These may be further adjusted or removed later. Some will have very short ranges.
    • The Zirax sent someone to rescue their stranded troops on Brood and Swarm Assemblies.
    • Misc fixes.

    Reforged Galaxy 2:
    • Increased the range of the Flamethrower. Reduced blast radius by 1 meter and increased impact damage by 5.
    • Reduced quantum CPU crafting cost.
    • Adjusted Magmacite mass, volume, production sizes, and sub-component costs.
    • Added a new T3 Legacy Conflagrator POI.
    • Added a new T1 Legacy Scorpius POI.
    • Increased the loot on all new Legacy POIs.
    • Adjusted performance of several Legacy POIs (again) to fix signal logic issues inside.
    • Removed Gas Cloud from the Infector that was blocking shots.
    • Changed SV Homing Missiles to no longer have the +50% reload penalty (DPM adjusted accordingly) and increased their damage bonus against drones from 200% to 500%.
    • Separated the HV cannon shells from the CV cannon turret shells.
    • Replaced the ingot icons with new ones that should be easier for colorblind people to tell apart.
    • Reduced the maximum number of drones Legacy drone bays can produce.
    • Adjusted damage multipliers of legacy turrets vs HV/SV so they're not getting hit as hard as a CV would be.
    • Updated Legionaries with their own loot table.
    • Unique Legacy weapons can now be modded, but require legacy-specific weapon mods.
    • Unique UCH weapons can now be modded.
    • Mining Equipment is now bought by Mining Operations, though it is far more profitable to supply them as part of a trader mission.
    • CV Light and Medium Turrets are now functional on planets. Yes, you read that right: You now have full functionality of a capital vessel's turrets in-atmo. This does not apply to fixed weapons... yet.
      This change is experimental and may be reverted based on performance and feedback. As such, the turret's descriptions and groupings as "space only" have not been changed.

    • Added the Legacy home system of Hyron to the center of the Sea of Silence. Work in progress, no unique POIs or missions yet. Contains unique orbital visuals and an updated home planet. To find it start a new save game and search the galaxy map for Hyron. (new save games only)
    • Added Legacy desert planets to Sea of Silence.
    • Reduced atmospheric density on Legacy infected planets to increase average weapon ranges.
    • Reduced gravity range on Legacy infected planets from -16, -12 to -14, -11.
      More updates are planned including a new expedition mission.

    Misc:
    • Added new "Using Modified Configs READ FIRST.txt" file under Content/Configuration with a disclaimer about modifying the Reforged Eden 2 configuration files.
      As a reminder anyone is free to modify the configs but doing so is entirely at your own risk and you become responsible for everything about your modified scenario. There have been a significant number of issues reported that are due to people modifying the configs and breaking their game.
      Please read over the new file if you plan to modify the scenario configs.
    • Added a customizable survival kit as an easier to use alternative to the CB:survival chatbot command for servers that gives players a survival kit of resources. You can set it up in the Project Eden Admin Settings menu in-game.
    • Added new radioactive moon type.
    • Added a small chance of raw diamonds from harvesting all color variations of large glowing crystals. Previously only one color variation gave diamonds.
    • Marked the Dead Part 2 mission as Ultra difficulty instead of Hard. (requires PDA update)
    • Hid mission The Progenitors Chapter 1 in the PDA as the Progenitor area is not accessible yet. (requires PDA update)
    • Added +2 level mod to Sector Commands to make the NPCs inside a little tougher.
    • Removed warnings about save game corruption from the prototype micro jump drives as there have been no severe issues reported with them.
    • Updated magmacite ore icon in the Empyriopedia.
    • Added holographic advertisement blocks for sale in Colonists, Polaris, and Trade Federation distribution centers, Trade Federation Orbital Advanced Factories, and Trading Station Olivine. (new playfields only)
    • Removed beta warning and Empyriopedia reminder from loading screen to make more room.
    • Misc fixes.

    Reforged Galaxy 2:
    Changelog:
    • Reduced degradation of the Pulse Rifle.
    • Added numbering to the trading cards so players can tell the current and maximum number of cards in a set.
    • Added new Effect Projector.
    • Added Effect Selector mode to the multitool for changing the color/shape of some effect projectors.
    • Fixed a bug where the explosions of Corruptor warheads were not being visibly shown when hitting a player's shields (They are doing damage, but no one could tell)
    • Legacy Bioshells now retrieve as Legacy Deco blocks.
    • Small increase to Heavy Bomb blast damage.
    • Added a Tier 2 Legacy Boss
    • Reduced power consumption of deco crew blocks.
    • Deco Crew Blocks now in the Deco Blocks category instead of Devices.
    • Fixed incorrect description on Base Light and Medium Missile Turret Blocks.
    • Updated some trader missions to give platinum credits when item stack limits for normal credits are exceeded.
    • Reduced the number of missions for Colonies and Colonist Security Chief required for their respective bonus reward from 4 to 3.
    • Turret-shaped medium and heavy weapons have added blast resistance.
    • POI Trap blocks now auto-group into their own named category.
    • Added resources and components from Eden for easier cross-compatibility. Updated their item descriptions and icons.
    • Updated Abandoned Reactor to move the Legacy Biobox away from the Fusion Reactor since it was being destroyed through a solid wall when the reactor detonated.
    • Updated the existing Legacy POIs with improved signal logic that should stop players getting stuck in places. You will still encounter issues in places where signal logic closes a forcefield in the presence of a player when there are multiple players inside a POI.
    • Added a Tier 4 Legacy POI that will function in the same role as a Drone Base. It is comparable to the Sector Command. It is MASSIVE.
    • Added yet another Tier 1 Legacy POI.
    • Updated Legacy OPVs with the new Legacy loot containers (which you can access through the control panel for easy looting), more loot and alleviated the issue with turrets under bioshells being destroyed before the bioshell exploded.
    • Legionaries.
    • Halved the CPU cost of drone bays (at least until Eleon improves them)
    • Ammunitions that used platinum to craft now use more available alternatives.
    • Some weapons and blocks will also use new components.
    • Increased the range of the Quantum Teleporter by 25LY.
    • Ship Weapons now display their base "Damage per minute" below their "Shield Damage per minute" on their tooltip.
    • Divided the tooltips on parent and child block variants for the medium and heavy fixed weapons. With flavor text greatly shortened on the parent block and indication that there are alternate variants to choose from.
    • New Advertising Hologram Deco.
    • Bugfixes.
