Changes:

  • The map is now standalone, meaning that it does no longer require Arma Realistic Map Assets V2.
  • The weather for the map is now inherited from Stratis. This means that weather mods that change the vanilla weather should now be compatible.

  • Changed the forest ground cover to improve visuals and visibility.

  • Changed the grass ground texture and the blending texture that is used for the distant terrain. Distant terrain now appears less blurry and the transition from close up textures to the distant terrain is now less obvious.

  • Distant rock/ mountain texture has been remade.

  • Added a bridge close to Malokurilskoye. (Note that AI will mostly ignore the bridge if the behavior is not set to "safe" or "careless".)

  • Added a gas station and some abandoned fuel tanks in Malokurilskoye.
  • Changed the overall colour of the map to be more green instead of yellow.
  • Edited the shores to reduce grass inside the ocean.
  • Removed some clipping issues/ flickering where ocean was close to the terrain.

Changes:

  • Slight adjustments to the picturemap.
  • Removed multiple seams on the map.
  • Removed floating water above lakes.
  • Added Japanese names alongside the Russian names of the cities. (Malokurilskoye --> Malokurilskoye (Shikotan), Krabozavodskoye --> Krabozavodskoye (Anama)).
  • Added map markers for the radars, airfield, mountains, islands and bays.
  • Improved the cities. Less roads that lead to nowhere and less chaotic placement of buildings. More overall visual variety.

To do:
  • Add more names for moutains and other important places on the map.
  • Improve the shore (no grass going into the water, etc.).
  • Add more points of interest.

Changes:

  • Updated the picturemap. More depth is visible.

  • Added a few points of interest (abandoned village and mobile radar emplacements), this will be expanded in the future.

  • Fixed the heightmap and edited the satellite texture. No more issues with depth around the shores.

  • Removed clipping objects on roads.

  • Increased the variety of objects and reduced their overall density in plain areas. Better performance, less repetition and easier landings for helicopters.

  • Houses have been rearranged properly.

  • Reduced file size from ~300mb to 230mb by reducing the heightmap resolution and slightly compressing the satellite texture.
To do:
  • Add more detail to cities like fences and some vegetation.
  • Further improve the seaports.
  • Add more points of interest.
